Charleston house description
Our Rental is the first floor of this historical duplex in the downtown area of Charleston located 5 blocks from the Citadel and 1 block from the beautiful Hampton Park. The 9 ft ceilings, original hardwood floors, french doors and 3 fireplaces gives you the experience of living in a true Charleston historical home.It has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The bathroom has been completely remodeled with sleek subway tile and modern fixtures. You have washer and dryer at your disposal with a large mud room. The bedrooms have a king sleep number bed, a full bed and the 3rd bedroom that has two twins and there is side room that has couch that converts to a bed as well. The comfortable living room with a flat screen TV leads directly through large dinning room, a side room with a separate futon and then the full kitchen and laundry room in back. The large cover front porch is my personal favorite place it sit and take in the Charleston charm.
Our proximity to the Citadel makes this a perfect place for families to visit cadets on weekends and holidays or especially game days. The cost of hotel rooms, eating out for every meal tends to add up. The large home allows for family dinners and cookouts. Off street parking allows you to park it and walk to the Citadel and Hagood stadium.

Nice stay in Charleston
Nice stay in Charleston
Overall I was happy with my stay here. The house was clean and well kept. It was furnished well to include kitchenware. There were 3 large bedrooms, enough to sleep 6 ppl. It included cable television and wifi as well. There is a large park one half block away that has a 1 mile running track, a lake with fountain and ducks, and at least 2 pavilions. Although this home is located in Charleston it would be a bit of a walk to get to the "downtown" portion of the city. However it is just a short 10 min drive away.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review.
We were in Charleston for a long girls weekend and stayed here. Michelle and Bill were so accommodating. The home was immaculate and we each were able to have our own bedroom. The front porch allowed us a place to sip our coffee in the am and wine in the evening and enjoy the neighborhood. A short cab ride to downtown and back was very convenient.

This house is by far the best place to stay at in Charleston! Rather than being split up between several hotel rooms, all of my friends and I were able to stay under the same roof, with all of the amenities you could need (washer/dryer, oven, stove, refrigerator, etc.). If you are looking to enjoy the night life in Charleston, this house is just a short cab ride away from all of the hot spots downtown. The pictures do not do justice for this cozy, charming place. The owners were so sweet, and next time I visit Charleston I definitely intend on staying here again! I couldn't imagine a better place to go!
