Property description

Classic California beach city house, with two bedrooms and den (sleeps 5), and one and a half baths. The home is excellently located north of Montana Ave. in a residential neighborhood. There is 1 parking permit for the street, and 2 parking spots in the alley.

Backyard includes grassy area (approximately 20 by 65 feet) and covered patio with adjacent atrium. The covered patio makes year round outdoor enjoyment easy. Backyard landscaping includes grapevine, sweet orange tree, numerous rosebushes, orchids and tillandsias.

The home is situated three houses from famous Montana Ave, with Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, and a Citibank branch at the intersection. There are several restaurants within three blocks, along with a movie theater showing vintage movies. Montana Avenue includes 12 blocks of boutiques and restaurants.

The home is 1.1 miles to Ocean Avenue and Palisades Park overlooking Santa Monica beach. 1.5 miles to Third Street Promenade and 2.2 miles to Santa Monica Pier.

About the owner: I grew up in Alaska, coming every summer and December to visit my grandparents in this house by the beach.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Monica:
My grandparents bought this house when they first moved to California from Illinois. My mom and uncle grew up in the house, and I visited twice a year. Santa Monica is beautiful and the weather is always perfect.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The location of this house is amazing. Being three houses from up and coming Montana Ave, has been wonderful to watch transform over the years. The orange tree, avocado tree (that the squirrels always try to get first), and rose bushes have always amazed my Alaskan mind.
