Location: Private Homes, Jennifer, Incline Village, Incline Village NV, Lake Tahoe Nevada, Nevada, USA (30 miles from Reno International Airport (RNO))
Accommodations: Home, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
This is our beautiful second home on the California-Nevada border at Lake Tahoe. It has approximately 2200 square feet of living area, it is very comfortably furnished and can sleep six people. It is very family-friendly and has high-speed internet access for those who just can't get away from it all.
This is a beautiful, architect-designed home with high beamed ceilings and soaring windows that overlook pine and douglas fir woods and the mountain tops. Every room has a beautiful vista. The house has all of the modern conveniences. There is a small but modern kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and trash compactor, and there are two recently tiled bathrooms. We have two lovely river rock fireplaces (both are gas), one in the main living area, and the other in the master bedroom.
The master bedroom is a huge loft overlooking the main living area with a wonderful view of the trees and the cobalt blue sky. There is a king-size bed in the master, a twin trundle bed in the second upstairs bedroom, and a queen-size bed in the downstairs bedroom.
There is a two-car garage with automatic opener. There is a large deck off the main living area complete with a barbecue grill, umbrella table, and chairs in the summer months. There is a second smaller deck located off the downstairs bedroom.
The home is in a pleasant neighborhood of similarly styled redwood homes that blend very well with the nature that surrounds them. We have additional photos of the interior and exterior of the house that can be sent upon request.
The house is in Incline Village, Nevada, on the border of California in the Lake Tahoe area. Lake Tahoe is a gorgeous volcanic lake surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our home is two miles from the lake, at about 7200 feet above sea level. Incline Village is a beautiful planned community with three private sand beaches on the lake, a private boat launch, championship golf courses, tennis courts, a health club with indoor pool, and an outdoor pool at the lake. Incline Village has some of the best restaurants in the area, and many more are located nearby.
Lake Tahoe is a wonderful world class recreation area, from the shimmering sapphire blue lake to the evergreen forests and surrounding mountains. The area provides all types of recreational amenities, such as swimming, boating, golf, hiking, biking, tennis, and fishing of all kinds in the warmer months, and skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and every type of winter activity in the colder months.
For winter fun, Diamond Peak Ski Resort is located five minutes from the house, and less than 20 minutes from Mt. Rose and Northstar. There are many others nearby, including Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, approximately 35 minutes away.
For nightlife, Reno ("The Biggest Little City in the World") is only 30 minutes over the mountains, with casinos, shows, bars, and more restaurants. There is also South Lake Tahoe, also 30 minutes away with yet another set of casinos, bars, and restaurants. Closer to home, there are smaller scale casinos in Crystal Bay Nevada, only ten minutes away, and a wonderful, rustic, shopping experience can be found in either Truckee or Tahoe City, both about 20 minutes away.
