Our family of four with two small kids all had a great time at Kismet! We love the Cacapon/Berkeley Springs area and this house was very comfortable and well appointed. The great room was perfect for dinners and the large screened porch was fantastic for hanging out and talking in the evening.

Manager response: We strive to make this a great place for all types of groups to visit, especially families. We are so glad your family enjoyed your stay in our housr and in Berkeley Springs. Come back and visit again soon!
I chose this rental as a home base for a July weekend getaway with my two sons (5 and 7). I will never forget driving in from DC on Friday evening and seeing the woods around us awash with fire flies. When I pulled the car over and shut off the headlights my older son said that it looked like a lighting storm with no thunder. The house was spacious, clean, well appointed and included a great rec room downstairs. We spent a lot of time reading on the screened-in porch, where I also enjoyed having a beer or some port once the boys were asleep. We enjoyed walking the hiking trails outside the front door as well as trips into Berkeley Springs and to Cacapon State Park. There was also great fishing for the little guys right at the entrance the neighborhood. The boys are still talking about our visit to "the house in the woods." Needless to say, I was very please with our visit.

Manager response: So glad you and your boys enjoyed the house and the fantastic nearby parks! We agree, the fireflies are just amazing early on a summer evening.
We stayed at this beautiful property during the 2013 Memorial Day weekend. The house is in great condition -- clean, updated, and really spacious. We cooked most of our meals in the house and the open kitchen looking out unto the big living room with the wall of windows was my favorite part of the house. You feel like you are sitting in the treetops with that view. The appliances in the kitchen are nicer than those in my house. In the evenings after our two children were asleep, we sat out on the deck and listened to the quiet. The rest of the Coolfont complex was really nice as well. Although we didn't get a chance to use the pool, it was very nice and not super crowded. We will definitely be back to this house. This is the perfect spot for a family reunion or a getaway with friends.

Manager response: We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. Please come again when the weather will allow for you to enjoy the wonderful community pool. It's one of our favorite things about the Coolfont Mountainside!
We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded setting and exceptional space of this house! The deck and screened porch offer lovely views of the woods and the relaxing sounds that accompany it. The open living space on the main floor offers great space for everyone to gather, talk, and enjoy food and beverages. The sunlight shining through the ample windows makes you feel like you are outdoors even when you're inside. The downstairs space is wonderful as well, especially for families with small kids, since there is plenty of space to play in the morning and avoid waking the entire house. The house is very clean and all of the amenities are as advertised. The community pool is wonderful and the tennis courts are in great shape. The surrounding area is very quaint, our daughter loved playing in the springs in town and mom loved getting a massage. We would definitely recommend this property and a getaway trip to the Berkeley Springs area!
