We stayed at Frost Mountain to attend a family reunion nearby and it was a wonderful experience. The breathtaking views from the back deck complemented our breakfast and coffee times out back. Rocking on the front porch and admiring the well-kept landscaped yard in the front was a favorite afternoon pastime. My grown children enjoyed the basement game table where they could stay up late and laugh and carry on while the rest of us relaxed upstairs. All of the little extra touches that the owners have provided made our stay perfect. Visiting Pearson Falls, the new Gorge zipline, tubing down the Green River, walking down Saluda Main Street, having a beer at the Purple Onion, antiquing down the mountain road, heading over to Sliding Rock in Pisgah Forest...so many activities to do...and Asheville is less than a half hour away for even more fun. But you don't even have to leave this place once you arrive if you don't want to...it's amazing, and a return visit is in the works.

Saved my wedding!
Saved my wedding!
When my now husband and I decided to get married in Pretty Place Chapel we knew that we needed a home that was close enough to the church but also large enough to not only accommodate my wedding party that was staying with us but also the out of town visitors that wanted to stop by and visit and help with the final preparations. From the second we pulled into the driveway to the minute we left this place was perfect. The view when we pulled in was more than the pictures could ever portray, the grounds were kept up beautifully and gave us the instant feeling of relaxation and peace. When we walked into the cabin we realized that it was beyond our expectations. Everything about the home was immaculate and you can tell that the owners and past renters alike have taken great pride in this place. Pictures don't do this place justice- every detail seemed as though it was right out of a magazine. The craftsmanship was of the highest quality, as well as every fixture, decoration, and piece of furniture. The beds were beyond comfortable, every person staying with us commented about not wanting to get up in the morning! I think that we all might have slept in a little more if it wasn't for the beauty surrounding us! We didn't even seem to notice that there was only one TV! (It was a VERY nice, HUGE television perfectly placed downstairs in the den!) We enjoyed walking around the yard, gathering on the porch, and making meals together as a family. And when the cold weather ruined my wedding reception we were blessed enough to have this gorgeous home to invite the few friends and family that made trip over for a warm evening filled with food and great company. My experience of planning a wedding was that almost nothing went as I imagined- while some things were harder to fix than others, nobody even noticed that the elaborate reception we had spent tons of money on never happened. The guests were all impressed with the beauty and space of the home and they all thought that we planned on gathering there after the ceremony. My only regret is that our time was short and the few days we were there were filled with so much to do before the wedding. It's not a question about IF we will return, as frequent visitors of the Smokey and Blue Ridge Mountains we know that we have found our rental for all future vacations in the area. The customer service was great as well and there is no reason to rent anywhere else as far as I'm concerned!

Escape at Frost Mountain
Escape at Frost Mountain
What an absolutely beautiful home! I would highly recommend Escape at Frost Mountain to family and friends. I was very impressed by the online pictures but even more so in person. The house was spotless and very well-maintained. Felt very pampered by all the amenities especially the comfortable beds and linens. Outside was just as amazing. Gorgeous views in every direction. Very convenient location. Even though it was close to main roads and attractions, it had the feeling of a secluded mountain hideaway. Hope to visit again in the future.
