New to VRBO in 2013. The photos are from a few different real estate photographers. The house will be listed for sale, which is why we don't use the 'book it now' feature at this time. WE HONOR ALL BOOKINGS WE COMMIT TO. We are flexible with our guests in regards to having the house on the market. We make sure you are comfortable with an arrangement for showings or an open house. We do not allow lookers to disturb tenants unscheduled/unannounced.

Gorgeous home in historic Route 66 Nob Hill district with lots of space and a huge private yard with pond (turtles and fish - including mosquito eater fish so there are no pesky insects).
Fully furnished 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, Double, plus 2 sleeper couches), 2 bathrooms (master has jacuzzi bathtub), 3 indoor fireplaces, one outdoor fireplace, BBQ, hammock, outdoor seating and entertaining areas, formal dining room for large dinner parties. Kitchen has all stainless steel appliances including Wolf stove, ice maker and filtered water in fridge. There is also a sleeper couch and loft area suitable for children/sleeping bags if needed. Off-street parking is able to accommodate up to 10 cars when entertaining. Yard is fully landscaped and very relaxing with blooming pond area, outdoor fireplace and walking paths. Fully stocked kitchen and linen closet.
$150+ cleaning fee for stays under 1-week OR for parties greater than 4
$1200/week with no cleaning fee for 1-4 adults
$25 per night per person for parties beyond 4 adults

Fiesta reservations are broken down into two separate bookings spanning the first 2 weekends of October. If you wish to stay through both weekends, it is considered a 2 week reservation at $2000/week.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay
When I originally considered renting this beautiful house, it was new to VRBO and didn't have any reviews, which is usually a deal-breaker for me. But after a reassuring phone call with the owner, Stephanie, I decided to throw caution to the wind, and book the property for a week in late October. And I'm so glad I did! This house was an oasis of calm and tranquility, especially after a hectic day-tripping adventure! The wonderfully landscaped yard and massive fish pond is truly a site to behold. The waterfall feature at the pond's end was perfect for canceling out the occasional sounds of traffic on Carlisle or the infrequent airplane engine roar (the ABQ Sunport is only minutes away, after all!) The gigantic master bedroom, with its high ceilings and amazing light, was the highlight of the house for me. The spacious kitchen, complete with Wolf stove and solid butcher block table, was my husband's favorite room. Late afternoons were spent relaxing on the patio, watching and feeding the numerous goldfish and elusive turtles. The central location is just blocks to Nob Hill, UNM, and all parts of ABQ and beyond. The privacy wall and gated driveway made us feel safe and secure when we tucked in for the night. Stephanie was extremely attentive, even checking in with me when she was across the country attending a family reunion!! My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, given the opportunity.

As you can see from the photos this is really a lovely home. That being said I didn't find it to be a comfortable home. Let me clarify. Absolutely nothing wrong with the house. The yard is spectacular and I spent a lot of time on the patio gazing at the goldfish and the turtles. The home has high steps to get into the house as well as in the house. You step down from the kitchen to the family room or dining room and down a few more steps to the master bedroom. After a few days it was annoying. I also didn't find the family room very comfy. The leather sofa is heavily worn and dirty looking, but the leather side chair was nice. The master bedroom is huge. The bed was comfortable, but I was a bit put off by stained sheets and the scarves over the poster bed were also stained. The master bath was nice, but to take a shower in there was a pain as you had to step over the very high side of the Jacuzzi tub. First time I have ever seen a shower over a Jacuzzi tub. I showered in the guest bathroom. The kitchen was fabulous! Very large and well appointed. I would stay here again just for the yard. The location is close to Nob Hill, Old Town and Up Town and all shopping areas. Lots to do close by. The owners are very nice and are quick to respond to any issues you may have. All in all you will enjoy this home as long as you are aware of some of these things.

We plan on delivering it in November in between guests. We also received feedback about the sheets and replaced them as soon as we were made aware. The scarves adorning the bed can be replaced quite easily, it's something we are happy to consider now that you made us aware. The steps & jacuzzi tub entry are part of the current architecture, so we would love any ideas on how to make that more accommodating. We have considered making it more accessible for guests with all ability levels. We are glad you loved the yard as much as we do. It's a local oasis!

I lived in this wonderful house for nearly five months while in Albuquerque in the spring and summer of 2013. The large beautiful house, the gardens, and the pond -- with resident turtles and goldfish -- make this a truly pleasant experience. Friends who visited usually commented on how peaceful it felt. The house is a short walk and even shorter drive to the cafes, restaurants, microbreweries, galleries, an independent cinema, and shops -- including a food co-op -- in the trendy Nob Hill section of Central Avenue, historic Route 66. The house couldn't be better situated. Stephanie and Mike are great hosts who made my stay enjoyable and memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this rental.

About: I am the associate director of development for corporate & foundation relations at the University of New Mexico Foundation. My husband is the editor of a local Arts & Entertainment magazine called the Local IQ. I am a UNM alum and he is a Notre Dame alum. We live a mile from this property and available anytime to assist you with your visit. We have had over a dozen renters (7 last summer), but fairly new to this site.
We love New Mexico but we may relocate to the Hudson River or Seattle area in 2-5 years. We purchased a smaller home nearby and intend to sell this one before summer of 2014.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is so welcoming and warm. It's very relaxing and so close to the heartbeat of the historic Route 66 district that we love so much. We like walking out the front door without having to get in the car every time we want to socialize or shop. We love the local artistic shops in the neighborhood. One of my favorite features of my husband's remodel of this home is that there is french door access to the gorgeous yard through the entire house. All bedrooms have their own private door to the yard.
