The two private bedrooms include one large master suite which opens up to a beautiful garden patio, one of the most generous patios in the entire complex. The second bedroom has two twin beds and opens up to a patio surrounded by a small succulent garden. The floor plan is contiguous throughout--from any room one can move from bedroom to patio to living room to dining room and kitchen with ease.
THE AREA: This is a convenient starting point for many of Southern California's tourist attractions and activities. Walk to the newly opened nature trails over the Headlands, with sitting areas and view points out over the ocean. Stroll down one of the many paths to the beach below. Enjoy a day of golf or take in a spa treatment at the Ritz Carlton or St. Regis hotels, both within half a mile away. Just to the south is Dana Point Harbor with sailing, fishing, whale-watching, restaurants, shops, home to the historic tall ship “The Pilgrim”, the Ocean Institute and adjacent tide pools. Further south are the cities of San Clemente with an excellent pier, Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, and San Diego with its famous Sea World , Wild Animal Park and the San Diego Zoo (about 1-hour drive).
A short drive to the north is Laguna Beach (5-6 miles), famous for its beautiful beaches and coves, art galleries, and the Pageant of the Masters summer productions. Travel a little further up the coast to Newport Beach (10-12 miles), home to world-class shopping at Fashion Island, and the Balboa Pier. Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm is within a 45-minute drive north.
