This is a great place to stay. A short walk (2 blocks) to the beach and a five minute walk to the Hanalei Bay town with lots of shops and restaurants, etc. The house has plenty of space for several couples and is very well prepared with everything you could possibly need. A big well prepared kitchen, three bathrooms, two big bedrooms, and a great porch in front of an expansive yard with a stunning view of a river, and panoramic mountains in the distance. The family that owns the property is very friendly and attentive. As soon as we walked into the house, we felt that it was a great find. We are already considering returning in the near future.

My family and I just got back from spending 10 off the hook days in this truly awesome home! The home is comfortable, clean, adorable and kid friendly too. The view of the river from the front porch is amazing! Early in the morning my son loved jumping on the paddle board, paddling down the river straight out to the ocean (which is very close) to check the waves. The home is equipped with everything you need, we cooked and baked almost every day. The walk to town is short and enjoyable. The island in itself is killer! As far as the home goes....look no further. If you're looking for upscale, look no further!

Our vacaton was certainly enhanced not only by the beautifully designed and crafted home but also by the impeccably manicured grounds and stunning views of the river and mountains. Our hosts were most pleasant and informative, providing advice on restaurants and side trips. We highly recommend this rental for your next stay in Kauai'i.

This property is fantastic, as are the owners. Our friends stayed in this property, we stayed in Danny's other home on the cul-de-sac. Both locations are perfect for a walk to town or beach, the homes are beautiful and well maintained, and the owner, Danny, goes out of his way to make your stay the absolute best. Thank you, Danny, Hanalei has become our favorite vacation destination.

We all know that Kauai is a beautiful place to vacation and now we found a way to make the most of our trip. You stay at the Angulo's house in Hanalei Bay. From the moment we arrived with Danny greeting us in front of the Hawaiian style home on this expansive piece of property. To the inside of the house with these gorgeous cherry wood floors and a kitchen set up with everything you need to make the meal of your dreams. Our kids really loved the family room large enough for them to play games, listen to music, read or just enjoy the view of the Waioli River right out front. It was wonderful having Danny and his family there for any questions we had about where to go or what to do. This house is so beautiful it really made it hard for all of us to leave. We are already looking forward to our next trip. Thank you to the Angulo family for sharing it with all of us.

Home away from home...this is a fabulous way to vacation with a family. The owners are kind and helpful in every way possible, yet respect your privacy and space as well. A beautiful backdrop, the furnishings that look like they are straight out of Pottery Barn, and perfect location on the north shore, makes this the perfect place to stay. It was hard to leave, but we will return soon.

Perched upon a pristine patch of lucious land, this home is a one of a kind. From boogie boards to candles, and every seasoning in between, you'll surely be comfortable here. We spent one week (not enough time!) nestled into this tropical papradise. When it rains, all of the exotic birds hang out on the lanai. And when it's sunny you can take a ride on the enormous rope swing, or just lay in the extensive patch of lawn. Other perks include the sound of waves at night, and the 2 minute walk to the lovely beach. This is the best location on the island (and I'm not a saleswoman!)You are in close proximity to the finest surf, sunset, hiking, and healthy food. Also, the homeowners couldn't be any kinder. We really enjoyed meeting them and getting great tips on the best of the island. If you don't mind fenceless yards and friendly people, then this is the house for you. Aloha!

In October of 2005, we traveled to Kauai with our 4 month old baby and our great friends and their four month old baby. Danny was extremely helpful in the rental process, flexible and answered all of our questions. When we arrived to the house, it was more than we imagined. It was beautiful, quiet, and made for a great place to enjoy the beauty of Kauai with mountain and river views out in the yard !Town and beaches were walking distance and Danny and his family were beyond helpful and knowledgable. Thank you for making our vacation the best ever. -Kelly and Jeff

In the spring of 2005 we began our search for the perfect location to celebrate our 5th Anniversary and we were fortunate to come upon Danny and his family. As professionals, we are constantly traveling so, for us the ideal vacation was one that allowed us the freedom to revel in a quiet atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty and we found it in spades at this lovely home. All of the wonderful amenities allowed us to make fantastic meals for ourselves, enjoy a book on the porch and even fall into a deep sleep. While the location made it easy to ride your bike into town for dinner out (the family knows all of the best spots), a quick trip to the farmers market and of course, a stroll down to the beach at any time of day or night. Big fans of life on the North Shore of Kauai, this was by far our best trip and it was really due to the home that Danny and his family have made for their guests. Two weeks left us feeling like we wanted more but were ready to face our busy world again. Thanks for such a wonderful experience! Christine and Mark

Hanalei... This home's location and first class Hawaiian style, makes you feel right at home. The town of Hanalei has everything you could possibly need close by, surf, sand, hiking, kayaking, and many restaurant choices. The family's ohana was very welcoming and it made us want to never leave Kauai. Mahalo, Mauricio & Sharon

This home exceeded our expectations... a very kid- and adult-friendly home. Highly recommended. Owner and family knew Kauai well and offered good suggestions to restaurants and beaches.

The location, setting, home ammenities and acommodations are exactly what one would expect to experience when staying in Kauai. In fact, the home and location surpassed our expectations! The interior is warm, welcoming, very comfortable and the grounds absolutely beautiful with the beach areas just steps away. The property is spacious, provides perfect views of magnificant sunsets and breathtaking mountainside scenery. Imagine the peacefullness of falling asleep to sounds of the ocean... The owners are truly remarkable and knowledgeable Kuaui residents and generous in spirit. It's a perfect place to stay! Rose & Alex Ironside

The home is beautiful and very well kept. The owners are a delight and extremely helpful and courteous. The views from the home are awesome. Watch the sunsets upon the mountains and watch the local birds do bird things while you enjoy a glass of wine on the lanai. On high surf days, the surf can be heard from throughout the house. All through the day the home is a pleasant place to be, sounds of the sea, the birds, fresh and gentle breezes. Fully equipped kitchen made food preparation easy. Access to the beach is very simple and close. Shops and restaurants are in close proximity. A little traffic noise can be distracting during the hours of commuting.
