  • We stayed at your house July 12 thru July 19, 2008 and it was absolutely awesome. The view was spectacular and we spent most of our time around the pool. We normally come to St Martin twice a year and this is the nicest place that we have ever stayed at. We all became very fond of Prince and Jo-Jo and fed them every day. We plan to bring our grandson there in 2010 for his graduation. He saw the pictures and let us know right away that he wanted to stay in your house. The only suggestion that I would make is that you might need to put a railing on the stairway to the penthouse suite. My husband and I stayed in the suite and it was kind of hard to go up and down the stairs since we are retired which means we are older. Thank you for sharing your retreat with us. It was the best vacation that we ever had.

  • Our family spent Christmas Week at Seaside Retreat and we'd all go back in a heart beat. The house is very spacious with all amenities. Views of Simpson Bay are spectacular. It's a great location as we really toured all the island. In the afternoons we could walk to Sunset Beach Bar and watch the planes land and take off. We had one minor electrical issue which Rick (Owner) had fixed within one hour, and that was on Christmas Eve. Would definitely get this house on our trip to SXM.

In our years of travelling, this is the first time we have ever returned to the same place, and we would go back again in a minute. The kids loved it, my parents loved it, and we loved it.   • Spectacular!! The pictures on the Website do not do show just how beautiful the house is. Have rented homes in Maui & Oahu at much higher prices and this house by far has been the best. Great views,security,privacy.This is the place to unwind or not unwind depending on what you like. Bars, nightclubs, casinos.It's all here!!!. Counting the days until we return. Sorry Hawaii, Seaside Retreat is the place to be!!!.

  • We just returned from our 7th trip to St Maarten and second year in a row staying at your Seaside Retreat for 2 wonderful weeks. We took another couple with us for the first week and they stayed in the downstairs original master bedroom and we stayed in the new Penthouse Suite. I have to admit that we loved the original master so much last year that our plan was to move down the second week after they left. That is until we saw and experienced the new Penthouse Suite. There was no way we could leave it! We are so glad we saw the house last year before you did all of the renovations. When we heard of your plans, we really couldn’t imagine how you could improve on what was already such a wonderful retreat. You proved us wrong. The new Penthouse Suite is like a separate villa in itself. It’s not only very large but so well appointed and decorated and with the multiple decks. If it should turn windy or rain, there’s always somewhere to sit outside and be protected and still have ocean views. And the views are spectacular. I have to say, you really outdid yourselves on this one, although I understand that your main motive was to create this for yourselves. We have rented 5 different villas in our 7 trips and this will be only the first time we will rent the same villa for the 3rd time as we have already selected our 2009 dates. I think we found our home away from home. The are several reasons we keep coming back, as we mentioned in our report last year. The location, the views, the privacy, the amenities but equally important is the security. The house is essentially walled in with electronic gates on the driveway, such that you really do have a great sense of security staying there. Thank you so much for another wonderful vacation in your outstanding home. We’re already counting the days until we return.

It was our 10th trip to SXM and the place made it seem like a totally new experience. The view is incredible and we cannot wait to rent again and utilize the beautiful new Penthouse Suite.

  • First, let me just say, WOW! This is the fifth villa we have rented and is our favorite in every respect. The home itself, the amenities, the view both day and night, the location, the value, and especially the privacy; everything exceeded our expectations. I loved the fact that the house keeper comes only every third day. Daily is just too often and in other villas we usually ask her to take the week off or find ourselves having to schedule around her. The grill, and the pool speakers are a very nice touch. We enjoyed the villa so much that in a two week vacation, we stayed at the villa half the time enjoying the pool, music, drinks, snacks and the wonderful island weather. Sometimnes a picture doesn't always tell the story. In the case of this villa, it was everything as advertised and more. Thanks for a great vacation!

  • RICK, YOUR HOUSE WAS BETTER THAN ADVERTISED! THE INFO THAT YOU PROVIDED BRFORE ARRIVAL WAS VERY USEFUL AND THE REFERENCES WERE GREAT. THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN. KAREN (MANAGER) AND PAULETE (HOUSEKEPPER) DID A GREAT JOB. THE HOUSE HAD MANY ITEMS TO HELP US HAVE A WONDERFUL VACATION. WE ENJOYED THE PATIO AREA, THE VIEW (NIGHT AND DAY) AND THE "POOL". WE USED THE POOL EVERY MORNING AND THE PATIO EVERY NIGHT AFTER DINNER. THE KITCHEN HAD EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEEDED. JO-JO AND PRINCE (THE MILD MANNERED DOGS) WERE A BIG HIT. WE FEED THEM AND PUT OUT WATER FOR THEM. YOUR HOUSE HELPED US HAVE ONE OF THE BEST VACATIONS EVERY. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK; WE KNOW YOU WILL. LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

  • Hi Rick, I thought I left a comment before now. We stayed with you from June 11-16, 2006. My girls and I had a fabulous stay at your fabulous house. We cannot wait to come back again next year. The pool and views were outstanding. We loved spending time at Sunset Bar Grill watching the planes and meeting lots of new friends. We loved the hanging chair by the pool.
