The perect escape for peace and rest. Literally, hundreds of acres to explore. Farm house takes you back to a time when life was more simple and less hectic. Clean and very comfortable with more than enough space. Large kitchen to prepare meals. Owners were unbelievably kind and treated us like family. I felt like I had known them for years. Great place for a family adventure on the farm or a quiet getaway .

Manager response: Thank you! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at the McKee Farm and were able to enjoy some rest and relaxation. It is always good to get away as a family and spend quality time together. We are glad you found the house to be comfortable and clean. We strive to make the McKee Farmhouse a clean, welcoming environment where our guests can relax and enjoy the country. We look forward to having you stay at the farm again. Von & Carol
My boyfriend and I were looking to spend a weekend in the middle of nowhere sleeping, writing, watching movies, and spending time together to celebrate a scholarship I just received. The McKee Farm fit our expectations like a glove. Carol and Von were beyond hospitable and I'm actually really bummed we don't live closer, because they truly seem like amazing individuals. The house itself is beautiful and the master bed is one of the most comfortable places I've ever slept. The kitchen really was a cook's dream. I baked cookies 3 times while we were there just because I wanted to spend more time in the kitchen! The photos shown are entirely accurate to the property and then some. There are some very cool things to see around the farm and I'm looking forward to finding all of them the next time we stay here (because there WILL be a next time)! Everything was clean and well-maintained, but keep in mind this is a farm; there were bugs. LOTS of bugs. They obviously came from outside, but it was enough for me to keep my socks on the whole weekend. There was a giant praying mantis on the screen door welcoming us and he was there nearly the whole time. It was very cool. As I previously mentioned, Von and Carol were absolutely wonderful. Carol talked us through the end of our drive when my GPS went out and Von gave us a jump when our car wouldn't start. They showed us where all the cool stuff to do on the property was and warned us where would and wouldn't be safe this time of year. I most definitely would recommend this property to just about anyone and I can't wait to come back!

Manager response: So glad you enjoyed your stay at McKee Farmhouse. There are some wonderful places to see on the farm and I'm glad you had the opportunity to explore. The preying mantis is a fascinating little critter that we enjoy seeing around the farm. This time of year (October) also draws out the ladybugs - especially as the corn is harvested and they search for new places to hang out. While the house is treated for insects, it is almost impossible to keep some of those adventurous ladybug outside. Thank you for your encouraging words! We enjoyed meeting you and look forward to having you back!
