This is a great neighborhood for walking or jogging or simply watching a spectacular sunset over Rock Mountain. This spacious home is newly furnished and has a sitting area, butler's pantry, built-in desk area, open kitchen/living area and a large master bedroom on the main level. Upstairs includes 2 spacious bedrooms and 1 full bath. Tifotra Dacha is a new alternative to consider for short-term executive rental, a weekend shopping spree, visits with relatives in Birmingham/Hoover, or a great sporting or concert event! Tannehill State Park and Moss Rock Preserve are excellent outdoor adventures located 10-15 mins away. There are 2 shopping centers with grocery stores, retail, eateries and a cinema all within a half-mile of property. Easy access via I-459 or I-20/59 to downtown Birmingham, UAB, BJCC, Ross Bridge, the Galleria, the Summit, Mercedes, and an easy drive to Tuscaloosa as well! This house was perfect for our family of 5 (our daughters are young adults) providing plenty of space and comfort. Tastefully decorated, a well-stocked kitchen, and spacious bathrooms all made this home a great choice. We have stayed in multiple VRBO properties over the years and really felt that this owner provided lots of special touches with staples for kitchen, plenty of towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. We were there at Christmas (our family lives in Birmingham) and especially appreciated some Christmas decor here and there throughout the house. Cheryl was so easy to deal with and accomodating in every way. The home is in a small neighborhood close to shopping and the interstate, so easy access to head into Birmingham or Tuscaloosa. It is also close to state parks and we took a family hike on Christmas day! We will try to stay again when we make future trips as a family to Bham.

We recently came to Birmingham to celebrate our daughter's engagement. This house was the perfect place to gather. It was inviting, warm, and well equipped. The welcome cake that was left for us was a wonderful addition to an already beautiful weekend. We truly felt "at home". We would love to stay here again. We too had a little trouble finding this house and went to a street by the same name in Mountain Brook (more central Birmingham). If you follow the written directions provided by the owner or put the zip code with "Bessemer" as the city you shouldn't have any trouble.

True, it can be confusing as the property is located in unincorporated Jefferson county (which is Birmingham), the Publix/Target shopping center across the interstate is considered Bessemer, and our neighborhood is considered McCalla. This property is located at Exit 1 off I-459 in the McCalla area.
We recently spent Thanksgiving here with our two adult children and their spouses. We can highly recommend this listing. It was very convenient to the interstate, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We found everything clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The owner was very helpful, also. It provided a great place for a wonderful family experience!!

This home is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The furniture is like new and everything is well maintained. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and we took advantage by sleeping late every morning! The family area is large and the open area downstairs allows for cooking and chatting with the family at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped and the "welcome" cake left for us by the owner was delicious! The neighborhood is very nice and there is a Publix grocery store quite near the house. This was our first time to use VRBO and every question that we had was promptly and completely addressed by the owner who was an absolute delight to work with! We will definitely stay at this house again on future trips to Birmingham!

Great home for our family of five. We had plenty of room to relax. This was a better alternative than staying in a cramped hotel room. The home was clean and had everything that we needed to make our visit perfect. We used the home as our base to visit the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and attend the LSU Alabama football game. The home is a short drive on the interstate from the University, but it was was convenient to restaurants and anything else you could possibly need. This is a charming home with attractive, comfortable furnishings. The owner has thought of everything to make the home perfect. We will definitely return to this property on our next visit.

Our stay was perfect. We wanted something for our staff while we attended a convention in Birmingham. It was a little further than we expected from the Convention Center, but it was worth the drive. I will say be sure to put the zip code in your GPS. There is a Clubview Drive in Birmingham & in the town where this house is located & they are not the same. The house was awesome. She had soft music playing as we entered. We also discovered the most beautiful autumn cake & personal note waiting for us. Everything was perfect. It was very clean & well maintained. It was well stocked with everything we needed. I even found a special green coffee mug. We could have moved in & lived forever. The house flows beautifully to allow for gathering or privacy & with 1 man & 5 women, that was a plus. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will be back.
