Our home is located in the Black Bear Lodge, located in Upper Deer Valley® in the Silver Lake area. Deer Valley ski area has been ranked in the top five ski destinations that our beautiful country has to offer the last 11 years by Ski Magazine. This area is home to the rich and famous. This grand area was one of the locations for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Black Bear Lodge is a short stroll from the Deer Valley Ski Resort®, a two minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley® (which offers a ticket office, ski lifts, shops and restaurants), and across the street from The Black Bear Lodge is the famous Stein Erickson Resort, one of two Five Star Resorts in the state of Utah, which houses fine dining establishments. If you’re looking for great skiing, luxurious accommodations as well as a good rest, Black Bear Lodge at Deer Valley® is a must.
The Black Bear Lodge is a short five minute drive/ride to the historic town of Park City. Park City offers a plethora of shopping, grocery stores for those necessities, eating, fine dining, art galleries and many local artist and attractions. Another short drive down the road, you have the opportunity to visit the Olympic Park or drive through the beautiful mountains.
This high-end lodge was built in 1996 and offers a pool, shared spa, sauna and workout center. We have a recently renovated central lobby and a reserved underground parking space for your convenience. Our vacation home has two master bedroom suites with each room having a private bath and a third full bath in the den area. The condominium includes a den, dining area, kitchen and a patio with your own private hot tub with views of the slopes.
For the unexpected guest or extra people in your party, we have a pull-out queen sofa bed so you can comfortably sleep six to seven.
The two master bedroom suites have king beds with high quality bedding and your own private Jacuzzi/Whirlpool tubs. The den, dining, and kitchen area are open and spacious with pine logs and V Cut Tongue and Groove pine ceiling. The den has a beautifully placed wall of river rock that surrounds the entertainment area and gas fireplace. Over the fireplace is a large log hearth that beautifully completes the room. Your seating includes two leather couches, an arm chair with ottoman. This room will comfortably seat six or more with additional seating from the dining area.
For your convenience, we have made available to you a television with DVD and VCR, a Bose Wave Music System with CD and an assortment of ~100 DVDs for your viewing pleasure in the den area. The complex is equipped with high speed wireless internet access for those last minute business needs or just checking your e-mail. The home has Cable TV, a telephone in the kitchen and each bedroom has a phone. Also, there is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer for your convenience. One bedroom suite has a TV with DVD, and the other has a TV as well.
This is a second home for us. We are always adding updates such as new carpeting, painting and also added new appliances, den furniture, kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, and upgraded the lighting. This home is very special to us, and we have set aside a select amount of weeks to share with you. We would like to invite you into our home and enjoy it as much as we do. Our goal is to provide you with a safe, clean and memorable vacation. We desire for your stay to be to your satisfaction and level of comfort. Although we may not be able to meet every need, our desire and goal is to meet as many as we can. If there are special requests, it never hurts to ask. We are open for suggestions and comments, so please feel free to contact us by signing our guest book, email or calling us personally. It is our goal to create a relationship with our guest so you will return year after year and tell your friends.

This unit was great for a girls ski getaway. Across the street from the ski rental, ticket office, lifts, and shops. Very spacious condo, nicely decorated, with every amenity you could ask for. Full 3rd bath in the hallway was nice. Big comfortable king size beds in both bedrooms. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and cheerful, even though we were renting through vrbo rather than through them. Bus stop to Park City was right across the street so we didn't need the shuttle. Deer Valley has excellent service from the minute you walk in. It was very nice to be pampered. Unit also has wifi so we could stay in touch with the hubbies and kids back home.

This condo was a great find! Excellent location, literally a 5 min walk to the Silver Lake lifts and restaurants. Great for families. The condo was well equipped, very clean, looks very new. Full kitchen supplies. All appliances appear to be brand new. Good washer/dryer. Very comfortable beds and furniture, very roomy living/dining room with a large dining table for big groups. Large, new flat-screen TV in the living room w/ DVDs. Humidifiers in the closets, the Utah winter air is really dry. The view is across the road to the Stein Erickson Lodge. Indoor heated parking is very convenient and nice, although the spaces are a little tight for the large SUVs that the rental companies give these days. The owner was very nice to us, easy to communicate, quick answers, good rental terms. The Deer Valley staff is super, best service at any ski resort we have visited! We will definitely be back, and hopefully will stay in the same condo.

We had a fabulous time at the Black Bear Lodge in March 2008! Unit #102 was ideally located - a 2 minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge (mid-mountain) and across the street from Stein Erickson Lodge (best Cheeseburgers anywhere - we even did takeout and ate back at Black Bear!!) The beds, pillows and sheets in the unit were wonderful and plush! And the living room sofas and fireplace were comfy. The unit is very clean, well-maintained and a warm inviting place to come back to after a hard day of skiing. David was always responsive and he even provided us with laminated emergency I.D. tags! The staff at the Black Bear Lodge were courteous and helpful. We appreciated the Wi-Fi access in the unit and the large selection of DVDs. We will hopefully return next spring. Thanks for a great vacation! We highly recommend Deer Valley and Unit 102! The Staffords

We had a wonderful time at the Black Bear Lodge in late March 2008! Unit #102 was ideally located on the first floor looking out onto the street with great afternoon sun (great for the hottub!)Black Bear is a 2 minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge (mid-mountain)and we even had powder at the end of March! The beds in the unit were wonderful and plush and the comfy living room sofas right by the fireplace were welcoming after a long day of skiing. David did a great job keeping us fully informed and answering all questions promptly.He even provided us with laminated emergency I.D. tags! The staff at the Black Bear Lodge are courteous and attentive to the needs of guests. We loved the easy wi-fi access and the large selection of DVD movies. Stein Erickson Lodge right across the street has the best Cheeseburgers! we even did take out and ate back at the condo. We hope to return next winter! I highly recommend this unit and dealing with David was a pleasure. He takes great pride in his unit and treats us all like family.

We had a wonderful time at the Black Bear Lodge in Feb.' 08! Condo. unit #102 was ideally located right near the slopes and the Deer Valley powder skiing was a treat as always. The beds in the unit were wonderful and plush, the kitchen amenities plentiful, and the reclining seat in the outdoor hot tub was dreamy! ( The latter was a wonderful treat to come "home to" after a long day on the slopes.) David did a great job keeping us fully informed of any questions we had. He dotted all i's and crossed all t's on the contract so there were no concerns on our end. He even provided us with laminated emergency I.D. tags! The staff at the Black Bear Lodge are truly courteous and attentive to the needs of guests. They always had a shuttle readily available and even let us use their computer and printer to print our airline boarding passes before our departure home. My teenage son especially appreciated the Wi-Fi access in the unit...while my daughter fancied the many Disney DVD's available on loan from the Marik's. Stayed here for the first weekend of Sundance and had a great time. The condo was very warm and cozy. It was nicely appointed and a perfect size for 4-5 people (6 would have worked as well). The hot tub was a regular activity for after a full day on the slopes. We cooked almost everyday and found the kitchen had everything we needed. Best of all the Black Bear's complimentary shuttle service saved us hundreds of dollars in cab fares and countless hours waiting in the cold. It drove us almost everywhere we could possibly want to go. All in all, I would not hesitate to visit 102 again. We were very happy. -Rob

The accomodations were lovely and the location is extremely convenient for skiing. We had plenty of space for our party of six in the warm cozy lodge. The staff was very friendly as well! Would definitely recommend to everyone

We had a great stay at your condo--very cozy and nicely furnished--everything we needed was provided. We loved the hot tub, fireplace, beds, and the great service at the Black Bear Lodge, especially their convenient, free shuttle service. The location was great as well--a 2 minute walk to the lifts and lodge, and a 2 minute walk to the great restaurants at the Stein Erikson resort.
