Our home is located in the Black Bear Lodge, located in Upper Deer Valley® in the Silver Lake area. Deer Valley ski area has been ranked in the top five ski destinations that our beautiful country has to offer the last 10 years by Ski Magazine. This area is home to the rich and famous. This grand area was one of the locations for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Black Bear Lodge is a short stroll from the Deer Valley Ski Resort®, a two minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley® (which offers a ticket office, ski lifts, shops and restaurants), and across the street from The Black Bear Lodge is the famous Stein Erickson Resort, one of two Five Star Resorts in the state of Utah, which houses fine dining establishments. If you’re looking for great skiing, luxurious accommodations as well as a good rest, Black Bear Lodge at Deer Valley® is a must.
To guarantee your stay is stress free and memorable environment, we have arranged for our personal concierge, Mindie, to be at your summon call. For a nominal fee, she can provide you with discounted lift tickets which will save you about 20% or more, Sundance Film Festival tickets, Utah Jazz tickets, babysitting services, grocery shopping, restaurant recommendations/reservations, meet and greet service, airport pickup/return, personal chefs/catering, spa/salon recommendations, in-house massages and facials, etc. If you can imagine it she can arrange it! The Black Bear Lodge is a short five minute drive/ride (complimentary shuttle service) to the historic town of Park City. Park City offers a plethora of shopping, grocery stores for those necessities, eating, fine dining, art galleries and many local artist and attractions. Another short drive down the road, you have the opportunity to visit the Olympic Park or drive through the beautiful mountains.
This high-end lodge was built in 1996 and offers a pool, shared spa, sauna and workout center. We have a recently renovated central lobby and a reserved underground parking space for your convenience. Our vacation home has two master bedroom suites with each room having a private bath and a third full bath in the den area. The condominium includes a den, dining area, kitchen and a patio with your own private hot tub with views of the slopes.
For the unexpected guest or extra people in your party, we have a pull-out queen sofa bed so you can comfortably sleep six to seven.
The two master bedroom suites have king beds with high quality bedding and your own private Jacuzzi/Whirlpool tubs. The den, dining, and kitchen area are open and spacious with pine logs and V Cut Tongue and Groove pine ceiling. The den has a beautifully placed wall of river rock that surrounds the entertainment area and gas fireplace. Over the fireplace is a large log hearth that beautifully completes the room. Your seating includes two leather couches, an arm chair with ottoman. This room will comfortably seat six or more with additional seating from the dining area.
For your convenience, we have made available to you a television with DVD and VCR, a Bose Wave Music System with CD and an assortment of DVDs for your viewing pleasure in the den area. The complex is equipped with high speed wireless internet access for those last minute business needs or just checking your e-mail. The home has Cable TV, a telephone in the kitchen and each bedroom has a phone. Also, there is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer for your convenience. One bedroom suite has a TV with DVD, and the other has a TV as well.
This is a second home for us. In 2005 there was new carpeting installed, painted and also added new appliances, den furniture, kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, and upgraded the lighting. This home is very special to us, and we have set aside a select amount of weeks to share with you. We would like to invite you into our home and enjoy it as much as we do. Our goal is to provide you with a safe, clean and memorable vacation. We desire for your stay to be to your satisfaction and level of comfort. Although we may not be able to meet every need, our desire and goal is to meet as many as we can. If there are special requests, it never hurts to ask. We are open for suggestions and comments, so please feel free to contact us by signing our guest book, email or calling us personally. It is our goal to create a relationship with our guest so you will return year after year and tell your friends.
