Dream Chaser has everything you could possibly need for your home away from home. We look forward to our stay every year and can't wait to get back to Destin. The unit is well equipped and comfortable with two decks for enjoying the sun (upper deck) or shade( lower deck) and just a short walk to the beautiful white sand beach and emerald coast. Several restaurants nearby, great shopping, and lots of things to do for young and old. We would recommend rental of this unit as it is exactly what you see in the attached photos. The owners are very obliging and look after any concern or question about their property immediately. Nice to have a unit with laundry facilities unlike some condos where you go to a laundry room. We enjoy Dream Chaser and hope to return for years to come.

Quiet relaxing stay

We had a wonderfully quiet week here. November is probably not a big tourist time in Destin but that was what we wanted. The complex was nearly empty. The weather was just fine and didn't prevent us from really enjoying the beach, even this late in the year. The condo was also just right for us, right on the lake and a short distance to the beach. I was impressed by the apartment itself, roomy and comfortable and its location to shopping and restaurants. I'd love to come back. BTW, checkout McGuires Irish pub, became one of our favorites!

The Dream Chaser was described perfectly on the VRBO site. We were fortunate to have a complete week of endless sunshine - not even one drop of rain! We particularly enjoyed coming this week - there was virtually no traffic issues. The location is great - close to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. We loved that Jim N Nicks BBQ opened a location in Destin. We are familiar with Jim N Nicks as we have a location in Charlotte. In our opinion, their BBQ is the best! We would recommend the Dream Chaser to friends and family and hope to return next summer.

We loved the condo. The decorating was beautiful. It is equipped with everything you need and walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. We enjoyed sitting out on the balconies and watching the turtles, ducks, and fish in the lake. The view at night is great! The ocean was beautiful with crystal clear water & snow white sand. We were totally pleased with everything & can't wait to return next year. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Enjoyed the deck areas, the kitchen is well equipped and the new decor is very attractive and soothing. Especially liked the "grass shack" valance over the window in the guest bedroom. Destin beach is beautiful.

My family has stayed at Dreamchaser several times in the past few years. Everything in the owner's description is more than accurate. We find it better furnished, from decor to linens to kitchen, than most beach rentals. The private deck off the master bedroom is perfect for your morning coffee. Have a family barbeque and watch the sunset over the lake from the large upper deck. The owner is flexible with a minimum of three nights rental, while many units in the complex rent only for one week, Saturday to Saturday. We highly recommend Dreamchaser for a peaceful and relaxing beach holiday.

This is our 4th year and nothing comes close to staying on the lake while you're at the beach - best of both worlds! Jeannie, your condo is fantastic! The flat screen TVs and the WiFi are excellent additions. We drank coffee in the morning, cocktails in the afternoon, and fished from the verandas and gazebo! Plenty of turtles, ducks, and fish to feed! Everything you need is in the condo - no reason to leave. Another perfect vacation at Dream Chaser. Thank you again for sharing your home with us! Can't wait until next year (or hopefully sooner).

This was our 2nd yr at Dream Chaser and we hada really wonderful time that we hated to leave.Great scenery, great weather and especially great condo.

Owner response:It speaks volumes about the condo when guests return year after year, considering they have so many choices in Destin. One of the most exciting parts about a vacation, is when you first arrive and see the place you will be staying, so I make a special effort to ensure that my guests are never disappointed in their accommodations. Not only is the condo very nice and well-equipped, but it is very convenient to the BEACH, shops, and restaurants. Southbay's private beach area is absolutely beautiful, with crystal clear water and sugar-white beaches! I hope you will allow me to accommodate your next Destin vacation. The condo was wonderful. it was firinished very nice, everything we needed. Great location, close to everything fun to do. Shopping,resturant and entertainment right there. I will go back..And the owners were great to deal with, very helpful.

Just wanted to let renters know how much we enjoyed this property. First and most important there is no oil or tar on this beach. The sand is white and clear. Come on down and enjoy the convience to the beach and the lovely lake view off the two decks. We love it.

This townhouse was just perfect. It was very nicely furnished and clean! It was also very well equipped and had everything we needed. Great location too! We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. Pretty much everything you need is within walking distance. The kids loved Big Kahuna Water Park, which was only a block or so away. Access to the beach was very convenient. Loved not having to cross streets to get there. The clear water and white sand were breath-taking. The lake was very, very nice. Really enjoyed watching the ducks, turtles and fish from the two decks. The decks were large and offered a lot of privacy, which we loved. Can't say enough great things about this place. Oh, and the flat screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom were awesome!!!! Highly recommend this place. We will definitely return on our next trip to Destin.

We stayed at Dream Chaser for one month and enjoyed every moment. Beautiful setting and close to everything. Even though everything was close by once you were in the condo it was peaceful and and very quiet. Owners were extremely accommodating and were really easy to deal with because they wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Wonderful!!

Dream Chaser @ Southbay by the Gulf

We visit Destin every year, but I must say that the Dream Chaser at Southbay is one of the nicest and cleanest places we have stayed. It was very well maintained and was equipped with everything we needed. The flat screen TV and wireless internet were great amenities. We loved the large decks overlooking the lake and very much enjoyed watching the ducks, turtles and fish. The beach is only a 2-3 minute walk across the property, but when we carried chairs, coolers, etc., we occasionally drove across the property and parked right at the beach. We enjoyed the convenience of the two pools and really liked having restroom facilities at both pools. We play tennis and found the tennis courts to be well-maintained and lighted for playing at night. The owner was very quick to respond to our reservation request and questions that we had along the way. She made the entire reservation process easy and hassle-free. We really liked the keyless entry and reserved parking space right at the front door. Highly recommend this Southbay by the Gulf condo. Everything was just perfect!

I have rented Dreamchaser at Southbay by the Gulf twice. We go again in May for the third time. Why we like it: -- One of the nicest Southbay units re: furnishings, large deck off living area and master bedroom, both overlooking the lake. Many units are not lake-front and have only little patios without much privacy. -- You feel like you are staying in the owner's home rather than a cheaply furnished rental. -- It is a short walk to the beach (all through the Southbay property with no roads to cross). -- Good shopping just across the street.
