This was the best part of our 3 1/2 weeks stay to the US… better than New York, LA and San Francisco together. We had a great time exploring the area and/or just relaxing at the pool and enjoy the view and silence around us. Your condo had everything you will ever need, the girls felt at home immediately and we can return to Germany relaxed and revived. We will certainly recommend Absolute Oceanfront to all our friends!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We can’t believe that 7 days have gone already! Thank you for such an enjoyable stay. After a busy 2 weeks travelling through the Rockies from Calgary, we wanted to spend a week totally relaxing – and we did! Thank you for thinking of everything – even umbrellas! We loved the beach, the pool, the view, the tennis, the DVD’s – everything. We enjoyed zip lining at Wild Play and our highlight was a whale-watching trip out of Victoria. Serveral whales seen and a couple even breached out of the water for us! A fantastic week - thank you! Lincolnshire, EnglandDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This has been possibly the nicest place we have ever stayed on vacation. The condo is lovely and we really enjoyed walking the beach looking at the seastars. We also had a great time salmon fishing (35 lb. fish!), going to the market in Coombs (goats on the roof) and just exploring the island. Thanks so much! We want to come back! We all enjoyed your marvelous accommodations and the facilities that came with it. Your warm hospitality and attention to every detail made our stay extra special. Our week went by so quickly and was filled with beach combing, beach walks, swimming (pool and ocean) and glorious dinners on the deck. The location of your “piece of paradise” was very central for us. We had visitors from Germany and traveled from Victoria to Gold River visiting many sights in- between. Our visitors were totally enthralled with the scenery, especially the unbelievable vistas from your windows. One could never tire of this lovely spot. We hope to return in the near future and take time to soothe our souls and immerse ourselves in the ambience. Thanks! Wayne & ReginaVancouver, BC P.S. We took the opportunity to visit most of the artisans on the small map of your area. They were great!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
About the owner: Hi! Thank you for taking the time to explore our little 'piece of paradise'. Here, you have caught me shucking oysters in Oyster Bay, adjacent to our condo! When we have the opportunity to stay here ourselves, we have the most wonderful time!! I love getting up early with an incredible sunrise and a cup of coffee in hand to leisurely roam the beach or just sit out at Pier's end watching sea life and listening to the lapping of waves on the dock. Often I will spot a bald eagle, blue heron or seal amongst the sea gulls. I really enjoy the calm waters, abundance of sea life, the huge purple starfish, the tidal pools and natural vegetation and scent and taste of pure fresh salty ocean air on my face. I enjoy the proximity to the multitude of things to see and do in the area. It keeps me busy exploring, as there is so much to see and do! Kayaking is great and I really had fun tree ziplining! I regularly visit the local farmer markets - fresh produce, preserves, crafts and baking! The one at the Crowe and Gate Pub grounds is less than 10 minutes away. And the fabulous Yellowpoint/Cedar Artisan's Tour is a yearly event! We have had many fabulous family celebrations here! Cooking up a storm is easy in our well-appointed kitchen. It is great too when we can pick our own herbs from the oceanside gardens, which everyone is welcome to share. On another note, I find it extremely restful just reading a book in solitude on the beach or soaking up some rays on our sunny balcony. Floating in our heated full size Oceanside pool with a cold drink in hand is pretty wonderful too... you can hear the surf below while experiencing wrap-around panoramic views. The surf can also be heard from our private condo when taking a nap. What luxury! Hope you can come and join us soon to experience 'paradise' for yourself!
Why the Owner Chose Nanaimo:
When we first discovered this place, we fell in love with the peacefulness and tranquility of the area that we have rarely experienced anywhere else. There are miles of shoreline to explore and your very own private beach. We would love to share our home with you and we have thought of all the extras for your comfort to make you feel like it is your 'home away from home'. You will feel pampered, relaxed and rejuvenated as this beautiful natural setting and ocean fresh air is second to none. Treat yourself to paradise - you deserve it!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Experience heart-stopping sunrises and unforgetable sunsets right from your private suite! The peaceful location of our condo, at the quiet end of the resort, maximizes the privacy and tranquility. Often you will see thousands of huge purple starfish amongst the rocks and in the tidal pools, a conglomeration of birds calling out to each other, a blue heron inspecting the shoreline at sunrise, a bald eagle overseeing the resort then flying overhead and dipping its wing at you, a seal bobbing up in the waters, many types of boats passing through the Strait, a family of sea otters playing at the end of the sunny pier and occasionally Orca whales passing through the Strait. At night there are trillions of stars to gaze at, as the moon lowers on the glistening sea and the waves gently lap to shore. So quiet. Peaceful. Mesmerizing. Come play and enjoy life at its best!
