You'll be able to sleep up to 18 people.

This is a" PRIVATE HOME" - not a condo or apartment.

We are surrounded by multi million dollar homes, well kept vacation rentals.

The home is has a perfect layout. Its has a covered carport in the rear, and the back door is right there. No steps, to the kitchen. Great for unloading your grocery.

The two bedrooms are separated by the kitchen making it very private. Both have their own separate remodeled full bathrooms. The dining and living room have no dividing wall so it has an open feeling. There are ceiling fans throughout the entire house, and two AC's in each bedroom.

Most of your time will be spent on our 700 sq ft covered lanai. Its so pleasant you'll want to eat and sleep there mostly all of the day, and night.

The birds are always around, hanging out in our grassy yard. We have banana trees, palms trees, hawaiian noni, pikaki flowers, hibiscus, limes, heliconia, bird of paradise and more.

The property is approx. 10,000 sq. ft. and it sits at the very top of the lot, so it has a direct ocean breeze.

The view is awesome, palm trees, and blue ocean. The morning sunrise with some Kona Coffee makes it a special way to wake up. In the evening, having a cocktail and watching the sunset is most memorable. Its all about gratitude, and appreciate the good life.

If you're into sports or just exercise, its so convenient just to get some running or walking shoes and head out right in front. Across the street one house away is a public right away to the ocean. You can often see the turtles hanging out on the lava rocks.

Only 8 homes away is walking distance to Kahalu'u beach. Its everyones favorite beach to snorkle. The reef is protected in this half mile wide bay. It became a park in in 1953. Every colorful fish is there as well as Turtles. Reef teach, a non profit group, often sets up at the park pavilion to encourage responsible snorkeling, to protect our living coral.
There are two lifeguard towers, numerous pavilions, restrooms, and open BBQ. If you want to try surfing, there is a surf school right across the beach. If you already know how to surf, no problem, we own a surf shop in Kailua Kona in town, and we have surfboards. We've been in business since 1978, so, we also can recommend whatever you desire from massages, hair salons, chiropractors, minister for weddings, catering, and so on.

The home is kid friendly since the lanai is all enclosed. We have lots of videos for their entertainment. Its also elderly friendly, with no stairs needed to enter, and the showers have a low entry. We supply you with bottled Osmosis water for drinking. We have a library of books of Hawaii and health. So, if you want to feel like you're relaxed in a comfortable home you'll love this one!

The location is in Keauhou Kona 4 miles south of Kailua Kona. The historical is rich dating back to the 1800's of Kamehameha I. One quarter mile south are notable Heiau's-and fish ponds. At the beach is a dollhouse St. Peters Church, which sits atop the sacred site of the pagan Kuemanu Heiau. This is where the ancients prayed for waves for surfing.

Just south of Kahalu'u Beach is the Kona Lagoon, 4,000 foot semicircle of boulders known as the Menehune Breakwater. Created by fishpond builders that predated the Polynesian voyagers, this man-made feature has been greatly altered by the pounding of waves.

Within a mile is the Keauhou Shopping Center, which has an open farmers market every Saturday morning. Here you can get local Kona coffee, homemade jams, fresh produce and flowers. It has a bank, gas station, grocery market, pharmacy, post office, lots of restaurants, theater, and "Sam Choy's". Occasionally, there is live musical entertainment, usually free, or two cans of food donated to the food bank.

Just bring your personal items along with you, and everything else is supplied, beach chairs, towels, surfboards and
, body boards.

Get ready to have fun and relax the Hawaiian Way.

Why the Owner Chose Kahaluu Beach

Growing up in Honolulu Hawaii, and knowing how fast the buildings went up there, I knew ahead of time what would happen to Kona.
I remembered as a child riding horses in Kapiolani Park on Sundays! Alii Drive is the next Kalakaua Ave/ Kahala of Honolulu. So, since 1978 I made a sticker and T-Shirt "Keep Kona Country"!!! and till today its my best seller for the locals as well as the tourist.

The Unique Benefits at this House

I never could explain it before, but, now there is a whole deal about negative ions. I've heard that if you get close to the ocean, because of the ocean waves, you get the negative irons. Its just a certain feeling of just being relaxed in a simple way, freeing your mind, and relaxing your body and soul.
When the surf is up, the sounds of the ocean is so beautiful. Our busiest times is the winter months, and that when the surf is the biggest. We are across the street of the ocean, I was often afraid of being directly on the ocean. I witnessed oceanfront homes completely sweeped into the ocean, so, personally prefer where I'm at. The sea level is rising and the shoreline is changing. I believe in allowing the ocean its natural flow.

A
Hale O Makai

Across the street from the famous Turtle Gate. Tour buses stop for the tourist to take photos all the time.

B
Kahalu'u Beach Park, & St.Peters Blue Church

One block away from the best Snorkeling Beach on the Island. Famous for half mile wide bay, filled with every colorful fish in Hawaii. Became a park in 1953. The little blue church "St. Peter's" is a historical landmark. Sits atop a sacred site of the pagan Kuemanu Heiau, where the ancients prayed for GOOD SURFING!

Owner's Map of Kahaluu Beach

Owner of "Pacific Vibrations Surf shop" since 1978.. Voted #1 Surf Shop for West Hawaii Today reader choice 2010 !. We were very first surf shop to open in Kona, when there were no Traffic lights! Our whole family surfs, and involved in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Since the early 80's we were directors for the swimmers.
We love the ocean and spend at least 5 days a week just Surfing. We used to do a lot of triathlons, running, and weights. Our spare times are with our Grand chlidren, and our love for animals (pony, ducks, parrots, dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, and geese). Also, we're into planting Hawaiian Native trees, and organic gardening. Oh, I should also mention in the 70's I had a dream job, riding a false killer whale name "Makapuu", a dolpin named "Haole", and gave hugs and kisses to a Hawaiian monk seal "Kanani" Did this for 3 years! Completed my lifetime dream early!
