frontage on the Merrimack River, private wooded lot. Centrally located less than 1 hour from New Hampshire's beaches and our scenic White Mountains.
Real nice ambiance with many unique features, including antiques and a post & beam screen porch overlooking the river and a fire pit. Loft bedroom with queen-size bed overlooks cathedral ceiling living room. Large window looks onto farmer's porch and out to the river. Washer & Dryer on main floor. Renovated basement includes bedroom, bathroom, pull-out couch, and a gas fireplace.
Peaceful, quiet setting yet minutes from shopping, movies, restaurants, and close to major highway. The cabin is conveniently located about 10 minutes from the Manchester/Boston Airport and the city of Manchester with restaurants, shopping, live theater, Fisher Cat Stadium and the Verizon Center. This hideaway is only 15 minutes from the capital city of Concord.
No camps or houses on the other side of the river the view across the river is forest and train tracks with a train passing by periodically. Also, a firepit for evening campfires and a riverside swing. BRING YOUR POLES, GREAT FISHING!!

Year Purchased: 2004
My husband and I purchased this cabin 6 years ago hoping to one day move there. We have improved it year by year and plan to make it our home in the next couple of years. We love our Log Cabin and spend every minute we can there (when it's not rented). We canoe, kayak and go exploring and antiquing.
Why the Owner Chose Hooksett
A log cabin on the river had been a dream of ours. This location is 30 minutes from our home. It is on a quiet peaceful dirt road but has easy highway to beaches, mountains tand he beauty of New Hampshire. It's our "away from it all" place.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Have your morning coffee out on porch or right down on the river. Fish or canoe, swim or relax. Quiet, peaceful setting takes you away from it all.

I can't tell you enough how much we LOVED staying in the cabin. The warmth that we felt throughout the was so inviting. We had so many laughs and enjoyed every space your gem had to offer. We had a wonderful morning kayak and canoe ride, it was so peaceful. We loved our morning coffee (as well as happy hour) on your perfect river's ledge spot. We eagerly looked forward each day to our evening meals by candlelight in the screened in porch. We never once turned on the TV, there was never a need to with all the tranquility we had surrounding us. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you again. You and your husband have done an amazing job.

We stayed at this cabin over Memorial Weekend and found it to be the perfect place for our family. It is close to everything, but far enough away to make you feel you are deep in the woods. The view from the screened in porch is amazing, I sat there every morning & had my coffee. Our family had a wonderful time fishing from the dock, swinging on the tree swing, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, grilling out & just relaxing in the cabin at the end of the day. It was easy to find & had everything we needed. We went to Robie's General Store - just minutes down the road; made trips to Concord to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium, & Cheers, among other places. Even had time to drive to the Atlantic Coast to eat at Ray's Seafood. We had a fabulous time & are looking forward to when we can go back to visit.

This place is the perfect get away! It is in the woods, private and the river is beautiful! The cabin is decorated so quaintly but has everything you need. It has a huge screened in room that you could stay in for days! I have visited this cabin for 4 years now and look forward to it more each year. The owners change things so it is always a bit of a surprise.

Located jnear highway but you'd never know it! It is so peaceful and relaxing being on the river. I have stayed year after year and enjoy every stay more than the last! Morning kayak rides are the perfect way to unwind. The house has so much charm, a true log cabin that is so warm and inviting! Absolutely a wonderful place to get away to. I recommend it to anyone!
