second time renting this cabin in three years

The location is is very good and the communication from the landlord is even better. The cabin does provide everything needed throughout the stay and the cabin is very centrally located from all the attractions throughout ruidoso.Lon the landlord is very nice and helpful and his service is very good. The first time we stayed at this cabin we didn't encountered anything wrong and this is the reason we stayed at this cabin once again. The problems that we did encountered this time around were that the cabin was very dirty and it had ants throughout the cabin. It seemed like it was cleaned after the last rental but their had to be a large amount of time not being occupied between it was cleaned and our arrival. One restroom downstairs the toilet does not flush correctly and the lavatory faucets didn't work either. If this things can get fixed i will strongly recommend for you to stay at this cabin,When you pay holiday rates and have to rent for a minimum of three nights and you encounter this problems it's when it really hurts cause you can't go to the front desk and get your problems resolved or have the luxury of being transferred to another room.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. We stayed here and had no problems. The large deck was great in the evenings and we liked the large lot. The kids had their own separate rooms and the large master was great. I love having a fire every night so that was my favorite thing to do. The kitchen has everything you need, we were just happy with it for the money.

I do have to say the spiral stair case and loft rail are not suited for children, the openings in both are very dangerous for young children. For the Price this was a very good deal. This cabin really needs a good cleaning, there where ants in the kitchen. We had a coffee make but no pot to hold the coffee so we used a cooking pan, pretty minor stuff. Like I said for the money it was great. The Deck was great, we put a Christians tree with lights and made a fire in the chimenia. The Electric stove top was a challenge but we got by. If you don't mind the above I would recommend this cabin.

The place is nice and easy to get to. Only two problems were: 1 AC did not work 2.- lockbox did not open until 5th or 6th try. Had a great time.
