My family and I stayed there this last week and I must say, it was much more than expected. The service from John and his owner was amazing. The house is perfect for any size family and well worth the price. Literally across from the beach. This house has everything you need to have an amazing vacation. We cant wait to go back next year. It was hard to leave!!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Upon arrival the house seemed okay.... all the furniture and decor is very outdated, but you can kind of see that in the pictures. The biggest problem we had with the property were the beds.... hard is an understatement! They were rediculously hard... ALL of them. There are a lot of twin beds at the property which is why we got it. We had 4 kids with us ( two 17 yr old, 5, and 9) and instead of them sleeping on all the beds the 4 of them crammed into the two "trundle" twin beds because they were the least hard. My husband and I were in the queen and it was pretty miserable. I called the first day we got there with no response, and again the next day to try to work something out. At this point I did want my money back... I would of rather paid more on the spot for a hotel or something where at least the beds would be decent. I talked to a lady at the property management place who was suppose to talk to Jon (the owner) but never heard a word back. Luckily we weren't at the property very long, or very often. I will also say that it was dirty (fridge was empty but gross), as well as the patio upstairs is a joke. There is no view that I could see, and even if there was it's filthy...we didn't even really want to go up there. Oh, and this might be petty, but most of the kitchen stuff is so outdated it didn't work...toaster started smoking, microwave wouldnt pop popcorn, and the coffeemaker took approx 45 mins to make a pot =) Seriously people...invest a little money in the place. I guess the only good thing was it was close to the beach, and fairly inexpsensive. If you think you are getting a cheap deal, let me tell you, you are getting what you pay for!Owner response: Dear Prospective Guests: This is the FIRST negative review we have ever received and was a real shock! We always ask our guests to write us directly with their comments and suggestions with a special form provided at time of arrival. Our comments have all and always been positive and supportive. We apologized to the guests above and their unexpected stay and taken their concerns to heart. The appliances referenced have been checked and the toaster replaced. We are afraid if the beds were any softer we'd be deluged with a flood of complaints the other way. PARADISE on the PACIFIC is the largest vacation rental house in Sunset Beach with plenty of room for a larger family to have personal space including several private balconies off bedrooms. The home is durable with designer over-sized porcelain tile floors on all the hard-wear areas including all of the living level, all stairs, halls and bathrooms. The home is built to withstand the use of families with children. Bedrooms are carpeted of course! The redwood sauna is a bonus that delights most guests after a tiring day in the sun, surf, water, and waves. The enormous 4th floor roof deck overlooking the sandy beach provides ample space for dining al fresco out-of-doors in the evening by the gas BBQ as the sun sets. The home is only 300 feet to the sand as the family above affirms and we provide lots of sand toys for the beach including adult/youth 'boogie boards' to body and wave surf. Please do come and stay in our house. The beds are fine, appliances fresh, and the beach nearby! You are always welcome to call me directly using the phone number provided in the VRBO listing. Email is also just fine with any questions or comments. Please book TODAY!
