  Our wonderful experience began with my first contact with the owner and just got better and better. When we arrived at the house the manager was there waiting for us, even though we arrived many hours later than planned (the manager had already assisted us by accepting UPS and FedEx packages before the start of our reservation.) The online description of the house does not do it justice. The house is not only beautiful, it is much larger than expected, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There were 9 of us and there was enough room for small groups to do various activities at the same time without stepping on each other. After a week together in the house, we actually still liked each other at the end of the trip because of the large, spacious areas of the house! We have rented many houses, and found this one to be the best stocked house ever. The owners really went out of their way to make our trip comfortable, easy, and very enjoyable. We will definitely look to return to The Overlook on our next trip to Snowmass.

  I recently spent the week in Snowmass with my family (including my two toddlers) and several friends, including two single woman, and another couple. This house has it all, en suite bathrooms for all five bedrooms, multiple living areas, and a view that is to die for. The photographs certainly don't do it justice. Despite our varying objectives for the week, this house was ideal for all of us. For my family, the house was perfectly situated near Snowmass Village and the Treehouse children's facility. For our single friends, the home provided privacy and a layout that allowed for a sanctuary from the children. The house was appointed very much like a hotel, with bathrobes, linens, and toiletries provided. And the attentiveness of the property manager was truly special, with all needs addressed with a single phone call. We plan to be regulars at this Aspen/Snowmass rental.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We found the house to be larger than expected and well-maintained. The owner and local support were vedry helpful and available to answer questions including recommendations for shopping, ski rentals, etc. Would recommend this house strongly and will look here first for next trip to Snowmass.

  The house was fantastic for our extended family vacation. Plenty of room for everyone! The house was large enough do that those who wanted to get up early and hit the slopes could do do and those who wanted to sleep in were unaffected. Having the toys for the three year old was great! We had a lot of fun staying up late with the older kids and playing some of the board games. Joe, the property manager, was a great guy and always helpful with any questions we had. Great location for getting into Snowmass. The dial a ride taxi was perfect. Our family had nothing nut great things to say about the house and we will definitely be back!

  We were very happy with our week at "The Overlook". This is the third time I've rented it for a group of ten adults, mixed couples and singles. The house is spacious, clean and well furnished. All of the web site information is accurate and the photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities. The owner is easy to work with. The property manager was very attentive, telephoning us every day to check on if we needed anything. The property is great for a group of adults, a large family or possibly two families. We highly recommend the skiing at Snowmass. Taxi access to the ski area is great.

  My family and I recently visited the Aspen area and stayed in this beautiful home. I highly recommend this property to any family traveling to the area. The home has beautiful views, it is very well maintained and clean. The property manager was very responsive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Checking in and out was easy and the home was warm and welcoming when we arrived. We plan on coming back next year!

  3 families from England stayed in this lovely house for 10 nights in February 2012. We were met on arrival with Pizzas in the oven and beer in the fridge which was very welcoming after a long flight and drive. With snow overnight the driveway was cleared the following day and our four wheel drive SUVs coped easily with the sloping driveway. (Insist on 4WD if renting a car - you will need it) The house was plenty big enough for everyone (7 adults and 5 children) and is within a five minute drive of the handy parking lots at Snowmass. This was our third visit to Aspen Snowmass in the last 15 years and was easily the best. It is a fantastic resort (not cheap mind) and well worth the extra cost over ski resorts closer to Denver. The house is an older property and could do with some maintenance but this does not detract from the lovely views and homely feel. We are already planning to return to the same house in 2013........everone loved it!! Best Ski run - "Longshot" - 5.3 miles without stopping!!! Try it.....

  Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was our first time to Aspen/Snowmass and we thought it was a great place. The house was clean, spacious and cozy. Excellent view and close to all. Owners were great to work with and we will definitely be back!

  Our stay at the Overlook was excellent as it has been over the past few years. Cody (on site property manager) was more than helpful. He went out of his way to insure that we has a good stay. Only negative for the Overlook is the driveway, it is fine if there is no snow, but with snow, one has to dig out before leaving. Even with a 4WD it is a problem. Cody was at the place early each morning when it snowed to get us shoveled out.

  Owner response: Hard working & wonderful Cody does a great job clearing the driveway and is at the house bright and early if it snows! We used to have a contract with a plow service, but the shovel and snow blower (if necessary) does a much better job!

  we are a group of 8 men who rented the overlook house for a week during the last two winters. The house was just like it was described and the pictures were accurate. it was easy to get to the ski slope and the free parking pass allowed us to park very close in the village. the house was clean and the resident manager, Cody, did a great job clearing the drive and deck of all the snow we had during our stay. he was present to explain the medial area, check the outdoor grill , answer all our questions and show us around the place when we arrived. susan kelly was easy to deal with and helpful both years. i would highly recommend this house to friends or family. in fact we will return. it is one of the nicest places we have rented and we have been doing this for 22 years.
