Bella Vista is a gracious home with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings. Two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom enhance the warm open floor plan. Each of three bedrooms feature a king size bed and a walk-in closet. The living room has a leather queen sofa sleeper. There is a separate dining room overlooking the private pool area and a breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with granite countertops, gas cooktop, microwave, Nespresso espresso machine, large refrigerator with water/ice filter, pantry, island and full gourmet cookware. The living room has a complete home theater system with surround sound, Wii, and DVD player. The patio features a BBQ and custom cushioned seating with a dining table/chairs for six. There is a three car garage. Bella Vista is steps from the trails throughout 14,000 acres of desert and mountain beauty at the top of La Quinta Cove. Two heat pumps ensure comfort...open the french doors at each end of the house and in the master bedroom and enjoy the outdoors most of the year. The house is a roomy 2303 square feet with a grand hallway, utility room with washer and dryer and lovely art on the walls.

About: We are Western Oregonians who love to be outdoors and crave sunshine in the wintertime. Our youngest (twins) are finishing high school (they are 6th generation Oregonians!) so we are not able to visit La Quinta as often as we would like. We love to play tennis, golf, hike, fish, kayak, and grow trees. My husband is in the timber industry and I own a real estate brokerage. We love to travel but also look forward to spending more time in La Quinta in the coming years. I graduated from Cal Berkeley but we are avid Duck fans:) Our oldest daughter is a Captain in the Marines and our oldest son is a tennis pro now working his way into the family business...we lead very busy, full lives! We have a home in Eugene, Oregon and ranch properties in the Elkton area along the Umpqua River and Elk Creek.
Why La Quinta Cove:
La Quinta Cove is a very special place. Old Town La Quinta is nearby and features a wonderful coffee shop, restaurants, shops and weekly farmer's markets and art fairs. The community of La Quinta is rich with amenities including a library, recreation centers, gorgeous Silver Rock golf course, polo grounds, and world renowned art and music venues. Indian Wells Tennis Gardens is home to a fabulous major tennis tournament each March. There are many outdoor treasures within easy drives including Joshua Tree National Monument, the Living Desert Museum, famous hiking trails, and the tram to the top of the mountains in Palm Springs. There is a private airport nearby and the Palm Springs airport is just 25 minutes away. Ontario Airport is just over and hour's drive, and LA is 2 hours, more or less, depending upon traffic. There are several casinos with frequent concerts, water parks and lots of activities for kids (parks, miniature golf, etc), and any type of shopping imaginable....from the high end El Paseo area in Palm Desert to the most incredible consignment/thrift stores and Premium Outlets about 45 minutes west of La Quinta.

This home is more Frank Lloyd Wright than Santa Fe style. It features open, well designed space that is luxurious yet comfortable. One can stay as active as possible, relax by the pool with a book or just gaze at the mountains directly off the back patio. The happy hours in this area are legendary! Stuft Pizza is a local favorite in Old Town La Quinta with everything from pizza to superb ahi tuna salads. This is a wonderful neighborhood with lots of privacy. The Tradition is across Avenida Bermudas...one of the most upscale gated communities in the valley. With public, lighted tennis courts just down the street and Silver Rock public golf course around the corner, we think that our location is ideal and perfect for the independent traveler. We love our La Quinta home and look forward to sharing it with our guests.
