Costa del Sol - Malaga apartment description

Access to this Italian designed complex is through secure gates. Through a second set of gates you gain access to our block, use stairs or lift to get to our second floor property. This spacious apartment has 3 large bedrooms, 1 w/ king size, 2 w/ twin beds) each with large en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, basins set in marble counter tops. The apartment is set over 2 floors and comfortably sleeps 6. Fully eq. separate kitchen. Air con in all rooms. The large living room has 2 cream leather sofas, dining table with 6 chairs, flat screen TV with Sky digital showing BBC1,2, ITV1, 2 Channel 4 & 5 and Freeview. The floor to ceiling sliding windows overlook the large terrace w/ views over the tropical communal gardens and the sea from several aspects. The electric awning allows for eating al fresco even in the heat of the day around a table which easily sits 8. 4 loungers with small table for sunbathing on the terrace at all times of day. Also 2 comfortable reclining chairs. . Paths through the lush gardens lead to the swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds, very large grassed area, and ample shaded areas. Even at the height of the Summer season there is plenty of space, plenty of sunbeds. In the well tended grounds there is also a tennis court and paddle court. The private gate (you will need the code to gain access) opens onto beautiful Perla Blanca Beach. The complex was built in 1999 by Italian architect and also benefits from a security watchman at night. The flat has an alarm if required and also a safe for your personal valuable items.


The local area: The apartment is in an exclusive gardened complex in Elviria beachside, near to the Alanda, the Don Carlos, (with the famous Nikki Beach) and the Marriott ,all 5-star hotels. The extensive gardens are maintained year round and run down to Perla Blanca Beach, claimed to be the best beach in the area with water sports and sunbeds for hire. Along the beach which runs for miles in both directions are a number of restaurants and chiringuitos, many open year-round for local fish and rice dishes or sundowners at the end of the day. Just 50 metres down the beach is the Beach House, which is renowned in the area for fine dining. Away from the beach, approx 5 minutes walking from the apartment, there are a variety of restaurants, from Spanish tapas to Italian, Argentinian, Asian, cafes, and bars (Spanish, Irish, Cocktail, Sports). Also a large supermarket, speciality bread shops and deli's, shops with newspapers in most languages, souvenirs and beach wares, ATM and banks, hairdressers, dentist and beauty salons.

Elviria: Elviria is an elegant residential area, just 15 minutes from Marbella, and around half an hour from Malaga's international airport. One of the best things about Elviria is its immense versatility and its perfect postition which means that residents and holiday makers can enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle at its best . It has a fantastic transport infrastructure allowing access to all parts of the Costa del Sol. Elviria is famous for some of the finest sandy beaches along the Marbella coastline, stretching for miles both east and west. Nearby is the port of Cabopino with its excusive restaurants and mooring facilities and also breathtaking mountain scenery high up in the Elviria mountains known as La Mairena (a must do activity is the buggy car ride into the mountains, book at Elviria near the deli). Close enough to Marbella to enjoy its benefits, but far enough away to avoid too much hustle and bustle, Elviria's quiet setting can provide for the perfect holiday.

                  • We have recently unpgraded some of the furniture and facilities at the apartment. There are new large cream leather sofas with reclining seats which we ask guests to care for as if they were their own, using the throws available if children are likely to sit on them with sandy feet and sun-lotioned bodies! Also new is the terrace furniture; lovely all-weather, grey wicker table and 8 chairs, two luxury loungers and a smaller white table for breakfast on the terrace admiring the wonderful view. We have also installed an automatic watering system for the new bougainvillea, jasmin and oleanda plants. There is now wi fi internet access. The security is good at the complex; entrance from the street is by key with buzzer for visitors. Access to and from the beach is by code, changed frequently. Within the tended grounds - which run down to the Perla Blanca Beach, acknowedged to be the best beach on the Costa Del Sol, there is a full-size swimming pool, plentiful sunbeds and tennis court.                                   About the owner: We are a family of 6 - our 4 children, now grown up, have spent many happy holidays in Elviria beach and we always spend some of our Summer at the apartment. Our youngest learnt to swim here! For us it is home from home, and you will find a well equipped kitchen, plenty of books and leaflets to inform your stay.

                                  Why the Owner Chose Costa del Sol - Malaga:
                                  We searched for many years for the perfect holiday location - sun, beach, great restaurants, beach bars, places to visit along the coast or inland in the mountains, a place popular not just with tourists but with local people. And we eventually found it in Elviria. Whenever we go somewhere else, sometimes a long haul flight from home we find ourselves looking for the same ingredients and wonder why we didn't just return to Spain where we have everything we need for a perfect holiday.What made us fall in love with this place? Perhaps the view of the sparkling waters while glancing up from a book aver breakfast on the terrace. Maybe the sun-downer moment from Lido Beach Chiringuito - sipping Tinto Verano as we watch the sun slipping behind the mountain which is called La Concha, towering over the Marbella coastline. This is a Spain, sharing the Costa del Sol with Torremolinos, but a world away in spirit.
