This is the second year that we have been fortunate to enjoy this amazing condo and hope to make it a yearly retreat. Marilyn has provided all the amenities that one could want in this unit and the decor is elegant as well as comfortable. The view from the lanai is all that one could want, with the ocean in one direction and the beautiful Hoary Head mountain chain in another. It is an easy walk to the the Grand Hyatt to enjoy the elegance of their property. The unit is extremely clean and well kept and if there are any questions, Marilyn is always available to answer them. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is seeking a beautiful setting in the most beautiful of places-Kauai!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Marilyn's Poipi Sands condo. First of all, she was very responsive arranging the rental and answering various questions. Secondly, clearly a lot of attention has been put into the unit...very nicely decorated and maintained, very clean, very nice place. We've stayed at various other Poipu Sands units over the years, mostly ocean front). We really liked this unit's location, though...a bit away from the crashing surf (but we could still easily hear it), elevated a bit on the hill for great views of the ocean and mountains, and very quiet location. Even with the pool nearby, and it was getting regular use by other guests, noise was never an issue. No noise issues from the nearby road, either. We had a great time reading and hanging out at the quiet beach...quiet is a relative term since the waves were really crashing while we were visiting. Great bodyboarding and surfing going on, though...great to watch. We will definitely stay here again. Mahalo.

We stayed in this condo with our two children for 10 days. It was absolutely lovely and so well appointed. We found the condo to be clean, the kitchen well stocked and the beds extremely comfortable. The view, location, and quality of the condo were all fantastic. We watched the sunrise and whales breaching from the master suite, living room and the deck. The unit is a short, lovely walk on a landscaped path to the Hyatt where we often strolled for our morning coffee.

This condo is very lovely and well-appointed. There are even sand and beach toys in the laundry room! We enjoyed sitting in the balcony at all hours, enjoying the beautiful pool and the ocean view. Loved it!

My husand and I along with another couple stayed at this condo in December of 2005. To say it was wonderful does not begin to describe it. The furnishings could not have been nicer - the beds comfortable - the unit clean and fresh. The master bath is fabulous. The balcony was worth the price by itself. Quiet and peaceful. The only thing lacking was a pancake griddle! We will be back - again and again.
