  My family and I stayed at the villa for my wife's birthday. It was awesome! Beautiful views, quiet, safe and it felt like we were at our own home. There's plenty to do and see there - the nightlife near by offers something for everyone. The food was fantastic. The shops were amazing. The neighbors are friendly! Oh yea, the house was beautiful with just the right touch of class. Nice work Amy! Rosarito has changed for the better. Those of you who have not visited Rosarito in several years...I totally recommend it. It's awesome!!! If all goes according to plan, we will be back this year. Overall, I had a blast!! Thanks Ben & Amy for a great time :)

  This place is outstanding, stayed 3 nights. I will stay here again when i go back. The view and the beach were amazing. Forget Hawaii! Security was awesome, felt like we were in our own little world. Thanks Ben.

  First time back to Rosarito since 1992. Quite a bit of change. The Schindler's villa is beautiful. Top of the line kitchen even though we ate out most of the time. The back yard faces the ocean just like in the picture - cool ocean breeze all day long. The beach is some what private and quite safe for the kids. Ben is very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location. Lobster alley - Puerto Neuvo is only 10 min or so. This guard gated neighborhood is very safe. Overall a very positive experience. Thank you Ben The Nguyen family.

  Had a great time. The Villa was close to eateries,souvenir shops, and the pool on the complex. The large tv's, internet access, and movies for the kids to enjoy were also provided in the villa. Ben and Amy were helpful from the start to the end of our stay at their Villa and i like to thank both of them. It exceeded our expectations and hope to visit again in the very near future.   The Villa is my favorite place to go and catch a creative muse! It's museum quality decor are AMAZING! Kudos galore to the owners, for their remarkable good taste! This next weekend will be my third visit, and I CAN'T WAIT!!! Perhaps I will paint this visit! Thank you, L.

  I had such a great time in Rosarito and the Schindler's villa at Calafia was so beautiful that it brightened my first time experience in Mexico so much! Me and my friends and family loved staying there. We wish we could have stayed longer! We had a little trouble finding Calafia at first since it was so dark when we finally arrived, but once we entered the villa, we were so glad to finally get there and see that it was such a nice place! The furnishings and artwork are so pretty and the view is definetely amazing. I love how the ocean is just right there. And also, we all felt very comfortable and safe in the villa and Calafia community. The Schindlers were extremely helpful in booking this great villa! I'm hoping to plan another trip soon! I will definetely recommend this villa to friends and family! THANKS BEN AND AMY! :)

  We stayed in this wonderful villa during the first week of April and we couldn't have been happier with it. Great unit, incredible location and the views were out of this world. It was just close enough to Rosarito to zip in and out. This was our first visit to this part of Mexico and we definitely will be returning. Thanks Ben and Amy!

  We stayed at the villa for my 40th birthday party. It was awesome! Beautiful views, quiet, safe and it felt like we were at our own home. There's plenty to do and see there - the nightlife near by offers something for everyone. We're already planning to go back this summer! Thanks Ben & Amy for a great time.

  The villa lived up to the descriptions on the site. The ocean views are spectacular (lots of dolphins, too) and the waves were great for boogie boarding. When you are there, it's scenic and quiet enough to feel like you are away -- yet the town is close enough for anything you might need. Neighbors are friendly, but you can have privacy, too.

  I found this listing on the internet and really did not know what to expect of the villa. It was a wonderful surprise. My friends and I had a really fun and relaxing weekend there. The villa overlooks the ocean so every morning you wake up to a beautiful view and every night you sleep with the sounds of the ocean. Ben,the owner, is really nice and helpful with everything. I would highly recommend this villa to everyone.

  This was our second round at the Califia Villas. We are absolutly in love with this place. The condo has everything you need for a great weekend with friends and family. I highly recommend the Schlinder's condo for anyone wanting to enjoy a nice weekend away. The kitchen is fully equiped to fill all the food and beverage needs. The living area is comfortable with a a great stero system. The patio is great to lounge, bbq and enjoy the beautiful view.Having the club house and pool close by is the best.   One word describes this place..........FANTASTIC! If you are use to going down to Baja and "roughing" it then this place is not for you. If you are looking for a vacation spot that has great views, every ammenity imaginable and a trip you will not forget then you better book with the Schindlers. I really cannot say enough about this property. The pictures really don't show it's true feel. A nice, relaxing atmosphere in a 5 star property. We will be back next year.   The place is awesome.It has a great view of the ocean.A prefect place for a relaxing getaway. Kids enjoyed playing in the nice grass area in front of the condo. They had lots of fun at the nearby private beach. Condo was beautiful,great furniture,well equipped kitchen,nice home theatre and TV in all three rooms. Nice place we had stayed in a long time. We recommend the place highly

  We stayed at the condo with our 3 boys.The place is great,awsome view of the ocean,nice grass area in front of the large terrace..We saw grey whales and dolphins...Everything was perfect in the condo,beautiful decor and furniture,great kitchen and appliances,super comfortable bed,one of the best place we had stayed in a long time. also,great communication between us and Ben Schindler. we recommend the place highly.

  The pictures on the site, though they are lovely, do not do the condo justice. It is so clean and comfortable, I felt like I was staying at a four star hotel! Will definitely stay there again. Also, the property is beautiful and safe with a lovely pool area. Great views and location as well!

  We stayed at Ben and Amy's Villa Calafia in April, 2005. Ben and Amy take much care to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The furnishings (beds, towels, fireplace, furniture) are all exceptionally clean and comfortable. The decor is warm and inviting. The villa is only yards from the ocean, and we enjoyed watching dolphins play as we lounged on the patio. We played tennis on well-maintained courts within the gated premises. Ben and Amy provide a list of recommendations for dining and exploring. We tried most all of them and were never disappointed. We had a wonderful vacation in a Calafia paradise....and recommend this villa highly.

  Hi there, Amy and I have been working for the last six months to make your stay at VillaCalafia a pleasant one! We have upgraded everything from what you will find in other rentals in the area. You will not find another unit set-up like ours. Everyone who has visited has told us it is by far the nicest unit they have seen for rent! We welcome your comments, Amy and Ben.
