When you open the door to this home you are greeted by beautiful marble floors and a spacious entrance giving a hint to the 3,000 sq feet of living space that awaits you. The first room you see is the dining room that seats 12. A very large room and great for formal dinner parties. The living room is very large with a sound system and a TV. Great for private space for large family reunions. The family room is off of the kitchen with a table set up for cards, and a large 50" TV with a comfortable setting of couches. This room and the kitchen look out on the patio with a waterfall and gardens. The kitchen is beautiful and updated with granite counter tops. Room for 6 cooks!

The large master suite is a quiet retreat away from the other bedrooms. It features a TV, stereo armoire, romantic canopy poster queen bed with select comfort sleep number mattress, fireplace, jetted tub overlooking garden area through garden windows; separate shower (with dolphins in etched glass), double sinks, and a large walk-in closet. French doors open to patio. Outdoor jacuzzi under the stars.
The second bedroom has a king sized bed and desk for computer work.The room is very large. The third bedroom has double-sized bunk beds. The 4th bedroom has a queen bed and is also an office with a computer and a comfortable desk. The Fax/phone is on a small desk in the kitchen.
Full updated kitchen with custom cherry cabinets, granite counter-tops, quality utensils, dishes, and appliances. Long counter area along a hallway to kitchen with lots of cookware and great for serving a buffet. Formal elegant dining room with crystal chandelier, dining table seats twelve, garden area outside dining room window. Patio has beautiful natural rock waterfall and patio table.
Extras include high-speed internet access and computer; Clavichord piano. Second very large bedroom could be considered a master bedroom also ( TV armoir with TV and built-in CD player, bathroom near with double sinks).
Two blocks to Tourmaline Beach. Plenty of parking on property and in the street. Bus line is close.

Why the Owner Chose Bird Rock
La Jolla has always been THE JEWEL of San Diego, the place we loved best in San Diego. This location is right between La Jolla and Pacific Beach so you can choose between casual and sophisticated atmospheres and restaurants.It is close to almost anything you want to go to. The beach breeze is so wonderful and the sunsets magnificent. It is close enough to walk to the beach in a few minutes or walk down to Crystal Pier for breakfast at Kono's, a very reasonably priced cafe where you can sit right at the water's edge on their outside patio and watch surfers, surf competitions, and just watch the locals. You can go right out our front door and bike up Chelsea on the bike route to Bird rock or La Jolla, past beautiful La Jolla homes. The bus line is right nearby if you should need it and not want a car, and you can walk to the
grocery store! New Bird rock restaurants are fun, especially Lupi's! And the Starbucks in Bird Rock is a must!

There is a lot of usable space and can adapt to a variety of family combinations.The West Wing master suite gives privacy from the rest of the house. The second master is equally enjoyable. The huge dining room with crystal chandelier is great for dinners, especially with a big group. The large family room with the flat screen TV is nice for family evenings together. High speed internet is wonderful also. The outdoor jacuzzi is fun for a group or just two! The outdoor lighting and fountain are nice features.
