Get away to this abundant vacation home. The property has a main cabin right on the beach, with a smaller complete bungalow just steps away with views of the lake. A total of 5 bedrooms and 3 & 1/2 baths, with sleeping arrangements for 15 people in beds: Plus a futon/sofa bed in each cottage to accommodate 4 additional guests. YOU SUPPLY BED & BATH LINENS; 2 queens, 4 fulls, 7 singles. Use this info for packing!!

The spacious main bungalow supplies all the extras: dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, cable TV/DVD/VCR. Our handcrafted dining table seats 12 guests. 2 picnic tables are available for outside dining, along with a comfortable wood swing for enjoying views of the water and beach. Don't forget the hammock for that afternoon nap! Some yard games, water and beach toys are available for your enjoyment.
The back bungalow is steps away from the beach and is perfect for accommodating overflow. It is a quaint two bedroom, one bath cottage with a large combined living and kitchen area. It offers CABLE TV and is newly painted.
This property is within walking distance of Central Lake, which offers a small grocery store and some specialty shops. Just minutes from world renowned Torch Lake in Alden and a 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan (Barnes Park). The town of Bellaire is 7 miles to the south featuring shopping, restaurants and Shorts Brewery! Nearby attractions include Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain (10 minutes), Charlevoix (30 minutes), Traverse City (40 minutes) and Boyne Mountain (30 minutes) not to mention many championship golf courses: The Chief, The Legend and A-ga-ming.

Location Location Location. Intermediate Lake is a spring fed all sports lake perfectly situated so that most weather systems pass us up.

My family has been coming to Intermediate Lake for 50 plus years. It is a little slice of heaven and an amazing vacation spot. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and can tell you first hand that the our walk in beach is perfect for small children!

My family and I just came home from staying at the Allen Beach Bungalows. We normally like to stay on Lake Michigan for our family vacation, but this cottage and Intermediate Lake have definitely made us change our minds. Sherry was very helpful and always available to answer questions. I was nervous that the cottages would be too small, but they were the perfect size for our large family (8 adults and 9 children). We had everything we needed and could have easily stayed longer. The lake was perfect for swimming, boating, tubing and skiing. Our kids "discovered" an island in the middle of the lake and can't wait to visit it again next year. The city of Bellaire is just a few miles away and is really a cute and friendly town. We ate at Toonies for my daughter's birthday and it was wonderful! We also recommend Classic Pizza in Central Lake. We had it twice and it was terrific! I would highly recommend Allen Beach Bungalows to anyone who asked.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Wow! We cannot thank you enough for providing us with everything we needed to have a wonderful Michigan vacation. The beach was perfect for all the cousins to enjoy. The sandy beach and shallow waters for play were clean and refreshing! We loved how gently the water sloped to deeper depths. This made for fun in the sun for us all. The "bungalows" were darling. Very clean and well stocked for all of our cooking needs. Our evening were spent by the campfire or playing games around the large dining table. The spacious main cabin allowed everyone to par-take in our family fun. Your property manager Sherry was most accommodating to our many questions!! Thank you again for the opportunity to visit your "little piece of heaven" And that it is! We will be back! Den & Angela
