    Wanted to let you know that we had a great time at Ocean Perch. Your house is nicely decorated, well furnished and equipped with everything we needed, a perfect spot on the water for our first stay in The Keys. Your thoughtfulness, attention to detail and useful information helped us get the most from our time there. Venture Out is a cute community of nice folks. The guards were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The marina and docking at the house made having our boat easy and fun. A few of the highlights for us were the sunrises and water views from the upper deck, excellent food from The Square Grouper and sailing out from Bahia Honda State Park. We enjoyed our neighbors down from Canada on one side and the owners from Missouri(?) on the other.

    This is the perfect place for a nice, relaxing get-away vacation. The Oceanside Getaway is right on the canal, up on stilts which gives you an excellent view of the beautiful open waters! The home is decorated so tastefully and has so many nice touches, perfectly clean upon arrival. We had lots of fun in the pool and hot tub, and the golf cart was so much fun, we used it to just drive around Venture Out Resort and check out all the other homes/RV's, etc which were decorated for Christmas when we were there. Did not realize we were going to be in a private resort, but they offered lots of activities during the week we were there. Not a great place if you are looking for a real beach to sit/swim on, but we went to Bahia Honda State Park and they have 2 beautiful safe beaches for your enjoyment. Best for boaters and fishermen. We were only 20 minutes from Key West, so we drove there almost every night for dinner and entertainment. Would definitely rent from Linda Spencer again!

    My family enjoyed Thanksgiving week at this local. The home was very comfortable and had everything we could have asked for. (The towels were the fluffiest I've ever felt.) Thanks also for the referrals to restaurants and shops. We really loved eating at the Wharf and even ventured out to a place you recommended for boat rentals. It was big fun! We look forward to visiting again soon!

    I planned this vacation for me and my parents and we had an amazing time. I have been to the Keys before, but never with my folks. The house was just like advertised, although there is an amazing porch overlooking the water which is not in the picture...amazing surprise for us! This is the perfect location if you are just looking to relax by the pool during the day and head to Key West for the evening. Although I do have to say that the drive was a little farther then 20 minutes to Key West, we found plenty of great places both above us and below us to enjoy. We would absolutely rent this place again if we wanted a nice and relaxing place in the Keys. Linda is a great person and was extremely nice to work with to plan this family vacation.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

    Our group of four adults stayed at Blue Heaven for a week. It was great to be right on the water and be able to fish and swim. The house faces north so this time of year the patio got no direct sunlight. We caught fish, used the grill and ate al fresco. The resort is well maintained, clean and peaceful. We arrived late but the entrance is manned 24/7. The pool area was nice and had a beautiful view of the sea. We were very impressed by food and wine at Square Grouper and The Wharf. The latter also offers paddle board rentals et al. It would have been fun to have access to bikes at the resort. We kayaked near No Name Island, snorkeled in Molasses Reef, saw sunset in Bahia Honda and visited Key West twice. The location between Key West and Big Pine offers several things to do in either direction.

    Sehr schönes Haus in einer gepflegten Anlage. Sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub so braucht. Die neue Terrasse ist echt toll geworden und man hat von dort einen tollen Blick über die Bucht. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could need on holiday Sun The new terrace has become really great and from there you have a great view over the bay. Highly recommended."     After seeing the pictures and reading the description for this "bungalow", imagine our surprise to discover that what we rented for a week was a double wide. Needless to say we were disappointed with the accomodations, as our expectations were not for this type of unit. That being said, Venture Out is a very nice, quiet park with a lovely pool. The views from the "bungalow" were also quite nice. We did not use the golf cart, but that was a nice ammenity. We found the LR furniture to be uncomfortable and tired. The beds were firm and to our liking. There were not enough places to store unpacked clothing...too few hangers and no dresser in guest bedroom. The bed pillows were flat as well. When we arrived, there was about 1/8 of a roll of paper towels, no kleenex, 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 very tiny bars of soap.Not what you typically find when renting a unit elsewhere but we were informed that only starters would be provided...We just thought the starters would be more substantial. I would recommend bringing your own of all the above. We found the shower curtain in the guest bath to be dirty, and some items had not been dusted for some time. The guest bedroom also has no TV. The pottery is quite nice and we would have bought some had there been an outlet to do so. As Linda indicated, there were quite a few ants but plenty of spray to control them. The location is ideal for regular visits to Key West. As recommended, the Square Grouper is excellent. Went there twice during our stay. Linda provides a great deal of information in her letter which was very helpful. While we would not stay in this unit again, we would consider other properties in Venture Out due to the location.

    Owner response: How does the expression go...."You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time." We do however take your remarks seriously about only having 1/5 of a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom etc. And in future I would recommend that if you have certain preferences or aversions to construction materials i.e wood house, metal house, cement house that you further investigate BEFORE you come instead of remarking once you're there it wasn't up to 'expectation'. This little Bungalow has sat there out in the open water for over 10 years and weathered many a hurricane to the likes of Sandy up North and still stands proudly keeping you warm and dry all the while sitting on your back porch with a 180 degree view of open water and dolphins and egrets going by!

    What a week of tons of sun and fun we had. Our group enjoyed the Oceanside Getaway rental so much, that we didn't want it to end. The rental met and exceeded our expectations. Everything that was needed in order to enjoy our week of fishing and relaxation was there. The place was beautiful and clean. We are looking forward to going back next year.

    Our stay at Blue Heaven was everything we were told it would be. Very nice clean place with good people. We had a problem with the TV one day and called about it and within a couple of hours someone was there and took care of the issue. Very nice.

    We are a family of 4 and stayed at Blue Heaven from 3/31 thru 4/7 2012 and had a wonderful experience. The house was in great shape and plenty of space for my wife and our kids 10 & 11. The dock was great for our boat and being 15 minutes from Key West made for a great place to have an opportunity to basically go anywhere we wanted in the lower keys. Already trying to plan a return trip for next year. The house is the third from the end of the channel so you are only 30 yards from the open water and the view was amazing...heck my kids spent most of the time swimming in the channel which had tons of mangrove snapper and other fish not to mention the iguanas on the other side of the channel as conversation pieces for our morning cup of coffee.

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

    Sitting in the living room with the sliding door open, the ocean breeze blowing through the Bungalow, playing a little music and sipping on a margarita, absolute heaven! We're always a bit nervous when we go somewhere sight unseen but your place was everything you said it would be. I couldn't help but notice the 2 reviews that gave you 2 stars (and then noticed the other 35 of them gave you 5 stars!) and wondered if they got the wrong house! Beautiful decorations, well equipped kitchen, immaculate, very comfortable beds. We'll be back. Thanks so much Linda

    We love going to the Keys but I have to say this spot outdid them all. Just a cute little Bungalow sitting right out there looking at water, pelicans, sea gulls and dolphins! Wow. Caught some fish and cooked them up on your big barbecue right out by the water and ate there too. What could be better. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook with and loved the views from the house out to the water. It was equipped with everything, and was decorated so beautifully and the beds were super comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    At first we were a little skeptical about the community rules, but after just one day at the Oceanfront Bungalow we understood why it was so important and how much the peace and quiet made our stay that much more enjoyable! The home was full of comfortable amenities that made our stay feel just like our home away from home (of course without the worries of day to day life). Linda has gone out of her way to make sure that any and everything you could possible want or need is there. From the propane grill outside to the luxury bedding, everything was just perfect! Thanks again Linda for providing such a wonderful vacation experience for me and my family! See ya next year!

    The property was just as described. Very well maintained and from what we saw, one of the nicest units in Venture Out. Our 10 and 12 year old kids had a fantastic time too. They made very good use of the pool, tennis courts and bocce courts. We tied our boat up right outside our door and made a few trips out to Looe Key for snorkeling. All in all a wonderful stay.

    My wife Shirly and I spent the last two weeks of February 2010 at the Oceanfront Bungalow. EVERYTHING was just as advertised. The location could not have been better. Some days we just decided to stay right there and sit in the sun because everything was so perfect. Other days we explored the Keys, especially Key West which was an easy 20 minutes away. We hated to see the two weeks come to and end. It was made even better by the secure surroundings and the friendly neighbors. We plan to return next year and will not hesitate to tell friends that this is the place to stay in the Keys!

    Dear Linda, Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home with my two sons and me. The boys had never been to the Florida keys and this experience was the absolute best for all of us! We saw dolphins right in front of the cottage, stingrays flying by (not two feet from the seawall), and more marine life right there than anywhere else we went, i.e., Key Largo, Key West, Dry Tortugas. What could be better and more convenient than taking about ten steps from the cottage and immersing yourself in 85-90 degree water? I will recommend you to friends, family and business associates.     Just returned from the Keys, stayed at the Spencer house May 10 - 17. Perfect house and amentites. Perfect location, on the ocean with the uncrowded pool very close. Far enough away from Key West to sit back and relax then a short drive into Key West for some adult fun. Venture Out is a perfect community and friendly.     Dear Linda, We just arrived home after a glorious week in your comfortable bungalow. The covered porch is wonderful as well as the cozy feel of the inside. We loved the "spencer and spencer" handpainted pottery throughout and also the lovely Claire Murray rugs. We were also most impressed with "Venture Out". We walked several miles each morning and again in the evening. Everyone was so friendly and cordial to us. It felt as if we lived there, too. We feel the location is great for exploring to the north or the south. Key West is only an easy half-hour drive and the state park, Bahia Honda, only 20 minutes north. We thank you so much for sharing your great home with us. We sincerely hope to return again. Tom and Mary Chase

You can trust her to make your vacation the best it can be! "What a lovely place! This bungalow is absolutely spotless, and exactly as represented on the website. Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything necessary to have a relaxing oceanfront vacation. We caught a ton of fish right out the back door - snapper, grouper, even a lobster... it was so much fun! Even though we were evacuated after our first night because of the hurricane, Linda offered to completely refund our money or let us return - our choice. OF COURSE we chose to return, and she didn't even charge us for that first night! She made sure we got our money's worth and then some... she really went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was saved. We can't wait to go back to the bungalow!"

    We've had a great time. The Bungelow was very nicerly furnished and very clean. The location and view were great. We were here the week-end after Katrina. Had a wonderful time. The Harper's & Wiles

    What a lovely vacation home! The Spencers thought of everything - from tide charts and directions for bait and tackle shops to Zagat reviews of nearby restuarants - this spotless, pretty little bungalow had it all. And when Hurricane Rita interrupted our stay, the Spencers did everything possible to ensure we got our money's worth, and then some. Very generous and thoughtful hosts! And the fishing... we caught everything from snapper to grouper to shark right on the canal behind the house! Peaceful, relaxing, well-appointed vacation home... even better than we expected. Our thanks go to the Spencers, and our best wishes go to all those who make the wise choice to stay at the Oceanfront Bungalow!

    We enjoyed Cudjoe Key and on down to Key West. Fished and snorkeled even out in the channel here! The pool was also fun. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and your lovely bungalow. Thanks Nancy & Aaron

    Dear Linda We had an absolutely wonderful time. Your bungalow was lovely, very comfortable, lovely setting. There was nothing that we needed.
