Charming, small, 17th Century House in Country Hamlet, Provence. Sensitively restored and well equipped, five miles south of Uzes - 40 minutes from Nimes Airport.

Ideal for a couple or for a family with two, maximum three children. This exceptional little house is a self-contained wing of a larger house used by the owners [who are there periodically]. It has been beautifully restored and equipped to a high standard with attractive furniture. It is entered by a flight of rugged old stone steps which lead up from the smallest ‘petite place’ imaginable, where a car can be parked. There are only five houses in this 17th century hamlet, all lived in by local people. Honey-coloured stone walls greet you as you arrive. Access to the hamlet has to be explained as it is. completely hidden from the main road with no signpost! Good for security and privacy.

House Features:
* Upstairs
Large double bedroom with comfortable firm five foot bed. Large
clothes cupboard and chest of drawers. Views over trees and down
on to terrace. The room has two oil radiators.
Bathroom en-suite with large washbasin and power shower.

* Downstairs
- Large Kitchen, Dining Room, well equipped as to detail;
refrigerator, cooker, washing machine, microwave, woodburning
stove and a CD and tape player) television showing BBC 1+ 2 etc.
- Telephone at cheap rate from One Tel. for use by tenants.
- Wooden steps take you from the dining room to the bedroom.
- Charming small sitting room, with comfortable double sofabed
leads out of the kitchen.
- There is a balcony/mezzanine above this room that has a single
bed. This accommodation could be used for children, the only
inconvenience being that the bathroom/loo is up the stairs and
through the main bedroom. For children of the family this may be
possible but more difficult for one’s friends!

Leading from both the kitchen and sitting room is a totally private good-sized south-facing terrace overhung with flowering jasmines and surrounded by old stone walls. It is an ideal spot for eating outside or relaxing in a lounger. It is overlooked by nothing and nobody and is idyllic.

Pricing and Booking Conditions:
* Price are weekly.
* Dates in 2005.
* Cost in Euros, US Dollars equivalent. (Euros prevails.)

* Not included in the rental prices are:
- Deposit in the form of a personal cheque of €300 (euros), to be
reimbursed within eight weeks after departure, in full or
deducted for repairs.
- Telephone as per one telephone bill usually available within two
to three weeks after departure.
- Obligatory rental of linen at €10 (euros) per person for one
set.
- Optional: Rental of towels, bath/hand towel €4/pc or €3/pc
(swimming towels not provided).
- Single cleaning charge of €50 (euros).
- Extra cleaning or washing of linen, if required, can be
negotiated with the housekeeper and paid direct to her.
- Electricity €40 (euros) per week.
- For heating, if needed, €40 (euros) per week.

Arrival and Departure:
Arrival is Saturday, between 4.30 pm and 7 pm.
Departure is Saturday not later than 10 am.

Payment of rental and deposit:
50% within one week of making the booking. The rental is only
confirmed after this down payment has been received.
50% plus deposit, eight weeks before arrival.

Cancellations:
If your cancellation reaches us 90 days before the planned arrival
date, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.
If your cancellation reaches us between 90 and 60 days before the
planned arrival date, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
If your cancellation reaches 59 or fewer days before the planned
arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
