"Les Planas" (meaning the levels or terraces) stands in the foothills of the Cévennes, France's largest regional park, and famous for its 200,000 hectares (half a million acres) of unspoilt beauty as well as for its mountains, forest, rivers, wonderful walks, and inexpensive hospitality. "Les Planas" is 350 metres above sea level, ensuring pleasantly hot days and cooler evenings throughout the summer.
There is excellent canoeing on the Herault, Tarn, and Ardèche rivers, as well as nearby tennis courts and (within an hours drive) golf courses. Riding, pony-trekking, and fishing opportunities are plentiful.
"Les Planas," built around 17th century, the remainder being added in 1970, stands on a steep slope in 1250 m² (one acre) with wonderful panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. It lies on the edge of the village of Monoblet which has a baker, a post office and a good, simple reasonable priced restaurant. The little towns of St. Hippolyte-du-Fort (eight kilomters) and Anduze (13 kilometers) have reasonable shopping facilities, open air markets, cafes-bars, and a choice of restaurants.
Description of the Property:
The house has central heating in the old part.
Has tiled floors everywhere.
The living area is ± 400 m² plus three cellars.
The total area is ± 1250 m² (one-third acre).
The large sitting room has a magnificent woodburning fireplace and a beamed ceiling, with a telephone extension.
A completely installed Kitchen.
The breakfast room with the main telephone connection.
French windows and a glass-panelled door open onto the small garden.
A 12 by 4.5 meter swimming pool fitted with 2 alarms as per new French laws.
The house sleeps ten grown-ups plus baby or child.
Was originally two houses which are now connected at ground-floor level.
The old part has two bedrooms:
The Master bedroom with a king-size bed with has en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, bidet, and water closet, and its own balcony.
The second bedroom in the old part has two single (90 cm) beds plus a child's bed on a mezzanine floor.
A separate bathroom and water closet.
The new part of the house has three bedroom and two bathrooms (one with bath plus water closet and the other with Shower plus water closet).
One double (1.45 meter) bedroom.
A further double bedroom.
One bedroom with two single (90 cm) beds.
A cleaner will come in once a week, for two hours, paid by the owner. Any additional cleaning can be arranged directly with her and paid €11 per hour directly to her.
Ample parking space above and behind the house.
An English-speaking babysitter is available.

Prices are per week.

Not included in the rental prices are
Deposit in the form of a personal cheque of €500 ( euro), to be reimbursed within eight weeks after departure, in full or deducted for repairs.
Telephone as per France Telecom's bill.
Obligatory rental of linen at €10 (euro) per person for one set.
Optional: Rental of Towels: Bath/Hand-Towel €3-4/pc (euro).
Single cleaning charge of €100 (euro).
Electricity €80 (euro) per week.
For heating, if needed, €80 (euro) per week.
Arrival and Departure:
Arrival is Saturday, between 4.30 pm and 7 pm.
Departure is Saturday not later than 10 am.
Payment of Rental and Deposit:
50% within one week of making the booking. The rental is only confirmed after this down payment has been received.
50% plus deposit, eight weeks before arrival.
Cancellations:
If your cancellation reaches us 90 days before the planned arrival date, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.
If your cancellation reaches us between 90 and 60 days before the planned arrival date, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
If your cancellation reaches us 59 or fewer days before the planned arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
