Newly renovated villa located on canal off New River with private, heated swimming pool in quiet, relaxed neighborhood. House also includes private dock that allows easy ocean access for all boaters.
It is an ideal location to explore not only Fort Lauderdale but also Miami and nearby Palm Beach, both of which are only 25 minutes away by car.
The three bedroom, two bath villa includes poolside deck overlooking canal as well as new fitness room that includes a host of stationary exercise machines. Two kayaks and two bicycles are included in the rental.
By car, boat or bicycle the famous Fort Lauderdale River Walk, where restaurants, bars, museums and shops abound, is easily accessible.
The well maintained Fort Lauderdale beachfront is a short distance as is the Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The thriving Miami Beach nightlife is only a 25-minute drive.
Nearby recreational facilities abound, including more than 40 golf courses within a 15 minute drive.. There are exceptional tennis facilities in Fort Lauderdale as well as scuba diving, windsurfing, dinghy and catamaran sailing and a host of other activities associated with tropical living.
Fishing aficionados have the best of both worlds nearby. Besides being able to fish for snook from the dock (in season of course) sailfish and numerous other species are a big-catch away via a deep sea charter or boat rentals available at Fort Lauderdale marinas. Some of the world's best bass, tarpon and other fresh water fish are easy prey in the Everglades, which is a 20 minute drive to the west. Otherwise the canals and New River also are rife with game fish.
The Everglades National Park is also only a 30 minute drive. The Seminole Hard Rock Casino and entertainement complex is only a 10 minute drive.
.With the pool and dock on the backside of the property, the front side includes a secluded, tranquil tropical garden with fountain and small pond.
Tiled patio around the pool and gas grill make for ideal setting for outdoor barbecues.
For families with children there is a table soccer game and crib for infants.
The fitness room includes a variety of stationary exercise machines including cycling, abdomen bench, bowflex and weight set.
It is very easy to take the bikes and cycle to the beach or visit downtown Fort Lauderdale where there is the Riverwalk, museums, art gallieries, shops and restaurants.
For shoppers the famous Sawgrass Mills outlet mall is only 15 minutes by car.

I chose to buy a vacation home in Fort Lauderdale as it is the boating capital of North America.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
I enjoy nothing more than getting up early and taking the kayak out on the canal down to the New River, where there is a nearby wildlife refuge. Along the way there are numerous beautiful wading birds and other wildlife. Upon a return I take a swim and have breakfast by the pool. Later I usually take the bicycle to the beach. After a walk along the beach I usually head over to the Borders Book Store on Sunrise Boulevard for a coffee on the canal. Later I cycle through downtown Fort Lauderdale via the Riverwalk where there are numerous cafes and restaurants as well as a great museum.
Other days trips that I enjoy immensely include the Oleta State Park in north Miami (great kayaking), Everglades National Park, Key Biscayne and Palm Beach.

From the very beginning until the very end of our experience in this house was fantastic! The owner is kind and flexible which we appreciated very much. We were three families on shopping/discovering trip from three different cultures and still, the house was a highlight for all of us. It had everything we needed including our infant's needs as well. Fantastic spot for families, friends...for just chilling at the house or using it as a base. Pretty much I can only say good things and definitely highly recommend it.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We spent a week in this paradise place in March 2011. We loved it from the entrance, even if we arrived in the night, the smell of the flowers at the entry make us to feel so welcomed, and then...all was perfect. The house has really everithyng you need for a vacation, even more...the kithen was new( the picture is not updated for the kitchen, and for garden -they are very nice), clean and with all we need to cook at home. All the house was very clean with 2 bathrooms and gym and washroom. And the yard was wonderfull with palms and jacuzzy, pool really big and the canal in the back just inviting you to use the 2 kayaks which Joe has for the guests. Placement was perfect, close to the HW and not far to the groceries. We visited Miami, Holywood, the Keys( do not miss them)...and it was always a pleasure to turn back yo "our" loved home. We really enjoyed it and we already recomend it to our friends. Thanks Joe, was wonderfull!

Joe, We had a great time in FL, thank you. The villa was absolutely ideal for us, well located, very comfortable and we especially appreciated things like the large numbers of towels. The washing and drying facilities were really useful and the air conditioning, obviously an essential, worked really well and was very easy and convenient to operate, which is not always the case. Wireless internet was much appreciated, and almost an essential now, especially for teenagers who can't live without Facebook! We really enjoyed the pool and the setting, next to the canal, was really pleasant. As a runner I found the location very convenient to come up with a traffic safe loop of 6 miles and there were good local shops which catered for our needs perfectly. Trisha has an annual trip away with friends and they are great browsers of reviews on the internet to check accommodation. She has therefore posted a review of the villa confirming our very positive feedback. All in all the villa and the surroundings supplied an excellent balance between a very comfortable, well equipped and convenient holiday house and the informality of what looks like a genuine family home in the suburbs. The acid test is if we were coming to FL again we would almost certainly look to stay in your villa again and would recommend it without hesitation. The house is very nice and clean. There is a nice pool to relax and the bedrooms are big enough to feel comfortable. The owner provided very good customer service and I would definitely recommend this property.
