If you're planning a vacation in Amsterdam and would like to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel, this is the place for you. This clean modern unit has recently been remodeled under new ownership and has everything you'll need for a great holiday. Perfect for couples. The queen bed is comfy and is separate from the living area, which we like. The kitchen is fully kitted with modern appliances. Great bathroom with large shower and plenty of hot water. Large windows let in the light and provide a great view across to the canal. Flawless high speed wi-fi. Safe, clean, quiet. But the best part is the location. Because of its central location, we were able to walk to everything and never once had to use the tram, though it stops just across the street. The market is just down the street and there are cafes and restaurants everywhere. And if you shop around, I think you'll find the rates are quite fair. The owner always responded quickly to my e-mails while planning the trip and the on-site manager, Sylvia, lives nearby and was always available. Absolutely no complaints. We have stayed in many VRBO units around the world and this one is as good as any we've been in.

Owner response: I am very pleased by your wonderful review. Our goal is to make your stay at the apartment a pleasant experience from the moment you decide to reserve the dates. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay at the apartment & your vacation in this incredible city!
A lovely little apartment in a great part of the city. You get a view of the Prinsengracht, the Westerkerk, and you are a stone's throw from the Anne Frank House. You can pick up a canal boat tour, the 10 tram (which runs the semi-circle of the downtown area) or just walk to the Dam. There is a lovely wine shop downstairs, a great Thai restaurant around the corner (Saon), a great dutch place (Bij Ons), a great pancake place (Anna's Pancakes) and many more restaurants, and a grocery just down the street (Albert Heijn). Plus, Sylvia, the manager who will greet you, is a doll. She reminds me of Isabella Rossellini. :-) If I win the lottery, I'm going to buy the place.

Great place, great city
Great place, great city
The photos are a very good representation of the apartment, and everything about the apartment and our stay was great. Loved having the Nepresso machine (now I want one too). The location was fantastic - the proximity to the tram stop made it easy for us to get around the city. The only thing to note is for people with mobility issues is there is a short, but somewhat steep set of stairs leading up to the apartment. This was not an issue for us. Thank you Donna for the map & for all your tips, they came in very handy! I would definitely stay again.

About the owner: My husband & I are completely in love with Amsterdam. We have traveled to many places but Amsterdam is by far our favorite city. Our very 1st trip here was on our honeymoon 34 years ago. Who knew then we would make this city our home away from home.
Why the Owner Chose Amsterdam:
We choose this apartment because the location was perfect, it is on the 1st floor, it has a view toward the Prinsengracht Canal & also has an outdoor terrace. Conveniently located in central Amsterdam. The Jordaan is one of the city's most interesting & beautiful areas. On Saturday's take a stroll & visit the lovely private courtyard gardens that are graciously opened for the public to enjoy. Never short of things to do. Visit some of many museums or art galleries, shop the boutiques along the Nine streets, have a bite to eat at an outdoor cafe, or try some of Hollands local delicacies at the Noordermarkt (the Netherland's 1st farmers market). Don't forget to try the herring while you are here, it's delicious. Be adventurous, rent a bicycle & get around the city the way the Dutch do!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The apartment is cozy & charming, There is a canal view looking toward the Prinsengracht, The terrace has a table & chairs for you to sit and enjoy an outdoor meal. There is a supermarket located less than a block away as well as the tram.
