Location is great, as you cross only one street to reach the beach, and it’s a real sleepy beach side street only wide enough to take one car at a time.
The Shell Beach House has an oceanview sun terrace accessed by spiral staircase. It’s an outstanding spot for viewing the ocean, the stars, the sunrise, the rising full moon over the waves and rocket launches from nearby Cape Canaveral.
Included in the rental is all electricity, A/C, heating, linens, bath and beach towels, four off-street car parking spaces, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, three surf boards and body boards for people of all sizes. For families with babies, this House also provides a high chair and a pack and play.
This a new listing in Feb 2014 under new management by Liz and Jon Sayers, who have set high standards with their successful Cocoa Beach vacation rentals listed on VRBO at 457026, 438723, 644308 and 652570. At ocean level, the Shell Beach House is light and airy, with comfortable sofas in the spacious open-concept living area comprising lounge, dining area and large kitchen with social bar, all beneath tall ceilings which have a cooling effect in the Florida heat. The lounge has large screen smart HDTV. There’s also a downstairs bedroom/den, a bathroom with large shower, utility room and plenty of storage. This house also offers gas BBQ grill and a small herb garden.
The second floor has two master bedroom suites, two further bedrooms, another bathroom with large walk-in shower and a den with its own kitchenette and bar. Every bedroom in this house has its own HDTV.
The Shell Beach House is super-close to key locations including beaches, restaurants, bars, stores and the famous Cocoa Beach Pier. When you’re on the beach, look left for a front-row view of launch pads at Cape Canaveral’s Spaceport, look right for nearby Cocoa Beach Pier and gorgeous flat beaches stretching miles into the distance.

Cocoa Beach is on a barrier island and is notable for its superb long flat beaches, friendly family atmosphere and big quiet skies, thanks to its low-rise buildings and the no-fly zone protecting Cape Canaveral. Sunrises, sunsets and moonrises over the water are often fabulous. The neighborhood around the Shell Beach House is so relaxed because it has the key benefit of being east of the four-lane A1A. There are no highways at all between the Shell Beach House and miles of sands.

We had chosen this house based on the number of beds and baths, and we found that its overall spaciousness made our living together enjoyable. We especially loved the floor plan -- the open concept downstairs and the unusual apartment and spiral staircase to a roof deck upstairs. The use of a keypad made it so easy for entry at various times from the beach, and the short walk to the beach was great. There were lots of items provided--beach towels, surf boards, umbrellas, beach chairs for each of us, and a cart to transport all that to the beach. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, utensils, and cleaning supplies. The linens were first class and the beds comfortable. Three thermostats made it easy to adjust the inside temps for comfort. After years in high-rise condos at other beaches, this house was a real treat for us.”

While we were very pleased with the other properties as well, this property was the best because of its great layout and location. There are lots of bedrooms, and even two complete kitchens. The floor design is very open downstairs with an open kitchen / dining / living room. There is first floor bedroom and full bath. The other bedrooms (including a master bedroom with a deck) are on the second floor. There is even a third floor deck from which you can see the ocean and feel the evening sea breeze. Grocery store is within walking distance. There were even surfboards there for our use!!! Great place!!!”
