The chalet is configured as a duplex and the units can be rented separately or combined. The combined units can sleep a total of 18. The chalet is bright and cheery and offers exceptional winter recreational activities. We have just remodeled the property with all new appliances, kitchens and carpets. Located in the village at Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort, the chalet is 100 yards from Chair #3 and within easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops.
Each unit of the chalet duplex can be rented separately for $150 - #200/night (except for the Christmas holidays) for up to four people; each additional person is $25. The upper unit has about 1500 sq. ft. including a loft with four single beds and TV nook; the main floor has two bedrooms (each with queen bed), two new bathrooms, a full, newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops, a large living room with real woodburning fireplace.
The lower unit is about 1350 sq. ft. and has three bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed, 1 with a double bed, and one with two twins. The lower unit has two full bathrooms. A new kitchen and new carpeting throughout and a large living room with real wood-burning fireplace make this unit especially desirable.
For use by both units there is also a sauna and 1/2 bath plus full laundry facilities. Free high speed wireless internet is available in both units.
Big Mountain has 3000 acres of dramatic terrain, with unparalleled powder skiing and winter recreation. In the summer there is mountain biking (ride the lift to the top and bike down), hiking, mountain vistas with wildflowers and animal life, horseback riding, tennis and a trout pond for kids' fishing.
The quaint Western town of Whitefish with its restaurants and watering holes is ten minutes away by free shuttle. For summer recreation, Whitefish Lake, between town and the village, has a city beach for swimming and boat rentals. There is excellent fishing in the nearby abundant lakes and streams. The beautiful Flathead Lake, the largest natural fresh-water lake west of the Mississippi, is located about 35 miles to the south. Glacier International Airport, between Whitefish and Kalispell, is just 25 minutes away. Glacier National Park is also about 35 miles away and offers a fantastic drive over the Continental Divide on the Going to the Sun Road. The Park offers wildlife viewing, great hiking trails for hikers of all skill levels, and free fishing in its many streams and lakes. |
