We were lucky enough to come back to visit Amelia Island and stay at this condo again. The condo had been updated with a beautiful new sofa and dishwasher. It was as clean and lovely as we remembered from last year. We visited the beautiful beach and sparkling clean pool daily. We saw dolphins, crabs and fish at the beach. What a treat! Also, we had family "movie" night each night watching a DVD from the selections provided. It was nice to have the family in the same room and enjoying time together. We played board games and had an old fashioned good time together. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful condo.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Paradise in Amelia Island

My family and I just experienced the best vacation in a very long time at this quaint condo in Summer Beach. The decor of the condo was soothing, beachy and very clean. It had natural lighting, views of the beautiful trees in every window. The condo had everything that you would need from towels to saran wrap. It had it all! The walk to the beach is lovely passing the sand dunes inhabited by the turtle family. My son was thrilled to watch the "daddy" turtle walking down the walkway. The beach is just beautiful. We were lucky to see the dolphins pass several times. The location is perfect to get to any part of the island. Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us. We hope we can make another visit some day.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

"Girlfriends Week" @ the Beach was wonderful! We love coming to Amelia Island! We come every summer! We love eating at the Crab Trap & new fave Karibou . Our stay @ your home was lovely. We had a great week at your place in Amelia Island! The kids loved it. There is a Carolina Wren nesting in the potted plant just outside the door. It has 5 eggs in it.We hope to be able to visit again sometime. Everything was clean and in good shape.

Just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful Villa with us. It is so nice to wake up each morning to the sound of the ocean. Our little vacation was a Bliss! Nice weather ,beautiful ocean ,good company and a comfortable place to stay! Your Villa was well equipped ,comfortable and very clean. We stayed at this vacation condo labor day weekend. We were met with a sour smell at the front of the building probably due to very poor drainage.The condo was bug ridden and was unclean from the moment we entered. Roach bait was found throughout the condo downstairs. Dead roaches were in plain site, cat hair was piled up under the sofa, our kids were eaten up by fleas, and dirt was present in the living area. We respectfully contacted the owner and described what we were experiencing. The cleaining person came and left, not cleaning all the areas we had described. Three days later when we vacated, the owner had the audacity to charge us for scratching a plexi glass protective table top that we didn't even use during our trip. We felt this was unfair and demanded that our money be returned. The owner has yet to do the right thing and refund the deposit they wrongfully took. To date, they haven't returned our calls or emails. Love Amelia Island. But this condo is simply unsatisfactory on many levels.

Owner response: *Future Renters ,We have rented this property since 2005,this year our place was rented for 26 seperate transactions, we have never had one complaint about cleanliness ,in fact a lot of our 50 plus reviews have noted the cleanliness of the unit . This person who was a guest of the renter threatened a bad review along with other threats after we discovered damage to our table top and we charged the renter for the damage ,which was not the deposit but less than a third,the renter was contacted and responded to,this guest was never responded to because of earlier threats . The party did stay the full time, 5 days. We do not allow pets and have had no indication of roaches ,fleas ,sour smell ,or filth. We contacted the parties staying the weeks after and recieved praise ,we self inspected it and found the norm that our cleaning staff gives us. .This is our second home ,we have been using the same cleaning management from day one ,they are never told when we are visiting and their service is second to none. We pride our selves for providing a nice clean enviroment.Thank You The Shelors

We had a lovely week at Amelia Island. Your condominium is as comfortable as being at home. The only thing we cooked was coffee ,but your kitchen is so well eguipped that with a bigger crowd,cooking would be a pleasure. We ate at so many of the restaurants you recommemed . I think Billy Jeans , Sliders and Bretts Marina were our favorites.Oh and we loved T-Rays! Margie Raleigh NC

Our family had a wonderful Spring Break. Your home ,the beach,the entire island was and is very inviting for families to visit! The Summer beach community was perfect for our family.Your home was well equipped ,the pool and beach were wonderful,the bike paths were terrific ,the convience of the grocery store. I have not written before this as I think my heart and brain are still in Amelia Island and who knows how long before we are reunited? We had an absolutely divine stay at your lovely condo,it could not have been more perfect.I am already scheming on ways to return.The condo itself was so comfortable we felt we were home,and we all slept so well - no insominia for a change.Thank you for sharing it and we will plan to return as soon as we can. A great visit to Amelia.Lots of sun despite some cool weather. We saw all the nearby sites Cumberland ,Jekyll Islands , The Zoo , Big Shoals Ga ,all the state parks.Had great food at 29 Eats Beech Street Grill especially and pastries at Gourmet Gourmet. All enjoyed Amelia. We discovered how to find the elusive lighthouse.Ate lots of gatortail,gumbo,fried green tomatoes &fresh seafood.Enjoyed the collection of movies. Drove to St Simons,St Augustine,Jacksonville,St Marys and rode the ferry to Cumberland Island where we saw the ruins and lots of wild horses. We have rented all up and down the East Coast and Amelia Island with its Downtown area(saw Manatees by the marina) and wide white beaches ranks right up there with the best. We love the closeness of nature on the island and near your wonderful condo. Fishing was good , but one monster dragged our rod and reel in to be seen no more, We hope to return. The Youngs Gainesville Florida
