Hana cottage description
Far from the crowds and Condos... Far from the noise and tourist traps... There is the old Hawaii of HANA, a small community overlooking beautiful Hana Bay on the windward east end of Maui. Hana is cooled by the tradewinds that blow across the Pacific and nourish us with evening showers that make this part of Maui lush and tropical.
As you travel the magical "road to Hana" you leave the real world behind and slowly enter the land of old Hawaii, with waterfalls, majestic coastal views and jungle rain forests. By the time you arrive in Hana you will sense a slight change. You will feel a slower pace, more peaceful and quiet.
In a tropical flower garden just outside Hana town there are two private and secluded cottages with ocean and mountain views. The Hana Cabana studio cottage is the perfect romantic getaway for two. The two bedroom Tradewinds Cottage is suitable for a family or two couples who want to relax surrounded by flowers and gentle cool breezes. Take a soak in your own private hot tub or cook your favorite island style feast on the barbeque under the covered deck.

Can't Wait to Come Back!
Can't Wait to Come Back!
I live on Maui, but on the "other" side, and I promised myself the next time I drove to Hana I'd spend the night. I'm so glad to have chosen the Hana Cabana!! The home was immaculate, and the surrounding property is a flower farm that they have sooooooo many different, beautiful flowers to look at. But by far our favorite spot was the hot tub! What a relaxing way to spend an early morning. Or a lazy afternoon.Or to finish off your day of adventuring, after a great dinner off the grill on the lanai. Rebecca was so helpful, providing great tips of things to do, and even let us borrow some A-1 sauce we forgot. (Thanks again for that!) We loved their big, friendly dogs, although they didn't come visit like I hoped. And being a local, well, I know that geckos are good luck, so I was happy to see them, inside or out. :-) There were no signs of them (meaning inside and out was clean) until you saw them. The cabana had everything we could have hoped for, it was clean and private. Just wish maybe there was a screen on the side of the lanai, as we kinda felt like the main house could see right to the hot tub, and we were enjoying being nekkid in the bubbles! Mahalo again for sharing your beautiful cabana with us, hopefully you'll be seeing us again very soon!

Lovely Hana Cabana
Lovely Hana Cabana
We really enjoyed our visit to Hana and our stay in the Hana Cabana. The cabana is beautifully located in a tropical garden surrounded by forest. It is clean, tastefully decorated, a bit dated perhaps, but comfortable and charming. There are creatures, plenty mosquitoes outdoors in the evening, but repellent helped, some bugs indoors, but what you would expect from cabin in the woods. Lots of geckos, but we have them where we live as well, so they were not much bother either, ( their waste is another matter, present in large amounts in certain areas throughout the cabana). Loved the hot tub, a great start and end to each day! We made use of the barbeque also, but it needs repairing or replaced as it did not work well and the grill itself needs cleaned or replaced. We liked the friendly dogs who dogs greeted us upon arrival, but we did not like having to dodge their poop piles when walking the property and our first night was none to peaceful, due to non-stop barking that went on for hours. Thank-fully second night was quiet, nothing but the rain, gentle breezes & gecko chatter. Overall nice place, charming, clean, and stocked with everything one needs. I would clean up after and supervise dogs a bit closer, be a little more diligent cleaning up after geckos indoors & make minor repairs/replace what isn't in 100% working condition
