If you want true relaxation but still need to keep in touch with the outside world, this is the place. Breakfast on the big porch, lazy yellow-chair days in the sun, reading under the pergola, fishing on Diamond Lake, swimming at the pier or off the sandbar, moonlit boat rides, animated conversations around the firepit and don't forget to bring an X-Box for the kids on the big TV. Post to Facebook, check your email or tune into CNN (great cable), then go antiquing in Dowagiac and Niles. Check into the Niles farmers market and the weekly summer concerts in the downtown Dowagiac gazebo. It's an absolute treat cooking in Beth's fully outfitted kitchen as well as being able to wash wet towels and hang up swim suits in the laundry room (not to mention having a second refrigerator). Compared to what you'd pay for a comparable suite in a hotel, Beth's lake house is truly a bargain --- and a lot more fun! We've already booked for 2012.

Diamond Lake Rental Home

This is not your typical lake cottage rental. This is a beautiful, well equipped, and maintained home. Not only is the home lovely, but the landscaping and the view to the lake are gorgeous. It is a large home with lots of outdoor living space too. The front porch with the two large rockers were always in use. My family, and friends all enjoyed their trip to Diamond Lake, and we will definately return!

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Two weeks of relaxation

As luck would have it, we rented this beautiful and well-maintained home for two weeks in June during which it rained every other it day it seems. It wasn't hard to stay indoors since the view of the lake is lovely to watch in all weather. Planning for the rain, I brought two bins full of photos to organize and put in albums. At home this would never have been accomplished! The huge table was a big help. Being able to stop and just sit on the porch, even in the rain, was relaxing. There is a nice two-mile walk (one mile out and one mile back) going west along the lakefront. Every evening the weather permitted, my husband and I took our drinks down to the dock and stayed until the moon rose. Our last night there we were rewarded with huge full moon and a glistening lake. It was heaven. Beth is wonderful to work with and is truly concerned for the comfort of her guests. Would absolutely stay again.

Oh my STARS, the home was spotless!!! We had our 4 small children, my 2 sisters and had WAY too much room!!! It's like a place out of a magazine from Cape Cod! Absolutely PERFECT!!!! This was a great cottage. THeir was plenty of space for all of us (5 seperate families). We thought we needed to rent an RV in the beginning, and was surprised that we didn't need it. The outdoor living space is key and the 3 porches/patios provided ample space. The kitchen was just beautiful and had plenty of space for cooking/entertaining. The view is beautiful! We will definitely seek out this cottage in the future.

We enjoyed a perfect fall weekend at this lovely, clean and well equipped cottage. Our stay on Diamond Lake complimented our trips to Nortre Dame for the football game and activities. The cottage exceeded our expectations. The owner is a pleasure to do business with. We would return!

This cottage was perfect for my family's long weekend trip to see a Notre Dame football game. Spacious, comfortable lodging was an easy 25 minute drive from the campus/stadium.

We had a wonderful weekend on Diamond Lake! The cottage was spacious enough to easily sleep 10 with space to spare. It is well maintained and has a wonderful décor as well as lake view. The pictures do not do it justice.

Wow, a Norman Rockwell-like winter scape greeted us upon arrival to 'our' charming cottage complete w/deer & rabit prints in the snow & cardinals feeding on the front lawn. The view through the large picture windows framed a breathtaking diamond iced over lake, ice fishermen, ice skaters,& snow mobiles. (All ammenities, from the new (since the web photo)overstuffed denim couches to the fireplace logs made our stay comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed so much in such a short time, a week goes by too quickly; A few trips we made were,- a tour of the Notre Dame campus (20 min.), major shopping, local farms & produce down the quaint country roads, making snow angels, throwing snowballs, ice fishing, sledding on disk, bird watching, & snuggling up by the fire w/a good book & endulging in hot chocolate filled w/marshmellos. Snow sking was so close (20 min. away) but time didn't permit. We hope to revisit this friendly village of Cassopolis during the summer or fall & enjoy all or (most)of the many activities availble. Enjoy those spectacular sunrises for us till we return. Thank You

I really enjoyed the stay I had at this cottage. The sunrise over the island was beautiful! The view itself is wonderful. The home was very comfortable and it had everything I needed for my stay. Shopping was only 20 minutes away and skiing was only 15 minutes. I would stay here again if the oportunity presents itself.
