Location: Tahoma, Lake Tahoe West Shore CA, Lake Tahoe California, California, USA View Map
Accommodations: Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 7)
This comfortable two-story home is adjacent to Sugar Pine Point State Park and is surrounded by open forest. It is located on a quiet cul-de-sac off Highway 89 - very child and pet-friendly! The townhome property is fronted by the Tahoe bike trail, which extends from Meeks Bay to Squaw Valley.
On the grounds are a recently resurfaced tennis court, children’s play equipment, a basketball hoop, and a horseshoe pit. A path leads to Sugar Pine Point State Park beach, with more swimming available nearby at Meeks Bay Resort. Hiking trails into Desolation and Granite Chief Wilderness are at close reach. In the winter, there is front-door access to Olympic cross-country ski trails. Low-cost, downhill skiing with spectacular lake views beckons five minutes away at Homewood Mountain Ski Resort, and it’s only a short drive north to the upscale resorts of Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. This is definitely a four-season recreational gem!
Stroll up the bike path to the local market/deli, a video rental store, a great pizza place, and two popular restaurants. All the shops and amenities of Tahoe City are minutes to the north, and the casinos and night life of Stateline are reached by a very scenic drive south.
But you might not want to leave your vacation retreat! A gas log fire warms the living room, where you’ll find plenty of comfortable seating and cable TV and VCR/DVD. Wi-Fi is provided. There is a game corner with plenty of puzzles and board games to while away the evenings. The kitchen has all new appliances and is equipped with everything you need. There’s a barbeque, table, and chairs on the front deck; the back deck is perfect for lounging and enjoying the forest habitat. A laundry room is at the ready. Downstairs are two bedrooms with queen beds (and electric blankets!) and a third room with a bunk bed and additional twin. Both bathrooms are newly remodeled.
A rental agent lives in the neighborhood and is available should any problems occur.
Lights and heat will be on when you arrive!

Wonderful lcondo with magnificent views of the surrounding forests...very open. The kitchen was well stocked with everyting one would need for cooking, plus baxic cooking supplies. If you like a soft bed, one queen will be to your liking. The other is more firm (to our liking!). One suggestion would be that the cleaning service remake the beds with the clean sheets that the renters leave folded on the beds before leaving. It makes coming into the rental late at night so much nicer. We would definitely come back to this rental. The condo was nicely and comfortably furnished and included games, puzzels, dvds and books. It is a shot drive to Meeks beach and great walks and hikes from the door of the condo.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
