Cedars East Resort is a unique vacation getaway with a Florida paradise setting of palms, mangroves, and greenery along walking paths throughout the property. Canals and a bay side fishing dock add to the variety of natural settings. If a day at the beautiful white sand beaches located across Gulf of Mexico Drive is not your choice, the junior olympic-size swimming pool may be just for you.
With the townhouse setting there is a feeling of privacy and spaciousness missing at other tightly packed facilities. There is an enclosed large garage and plenty of guest parking. Pool and beach accessories are available for guest use. This unit is facing directly west, nearest to the beaches, bike paths and large 32 acre nature preserve with walking trails.
Fresh accessories and paint were added in late 2010 with new cherry kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities and stainless appliances added in April 2011. Cream leather queen sleeper sofa and loveseat in living area with 9 feet high ceiling give a spacious feel; accessories give it a warm, inviting atmosphere. New flat screen TV in living area. The large great room, dining room, and kitchen are on the main floor along with a half bath. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with King-size bed, private bath, double vanities, phone and TV. The guest bedroom has twin beds, TV, phone with a full bath next door. Sofa converts to queen bed; two folding cots also available. A screened lanai is a great place for breakfast in the mornings. Come and enjoy a setting that is family-friendly as well as intimate. Full size washer and dryer near bedrooms.
Area is perfect for cycling and you'll see many cyclists on the roads and walkways. Four bikes on site: 3 men; 1 women, with another and child's to come. Bike rental office is a two minute walk away; rent by day or week or longer. Bike helmets, kept clean and disinfected, are available. Also, attachable baby seat and locks for use.

Owners are semi-retirees from the Bluegrass of Kentucky who enjoy the amenities found on Longboat Key and our spacious townhouse. We will be updating our property over the next few years but it has everything anyone needs to live for a week, a month or a year. It is our home in LBK so we are attempting to fill with everything we and our adult children would need and that will make your stay more like being "at home" and comfortable.

The rental was wonderfull. Just what my family needed . It included everything you would need for an extended vacation. Kitchen, Bathrooms, bed rooms , and living space were all new and clean. Everything was labeled clearly right down to the light switches. Included a garage, and 4 Adult Bicycles skim boards, beach chairs, ect. and 2 extra cots. We have 6 small children and with the cots we all slept comfortably.
Recommended for:Families with young children.

My husband and I, and our three adult children just finished a week stay here while we were in Sarasota for a wedding. We had a fabulous time, and for having five adults there, found it very spacious and easy to be comfortable. It's possibly even nicer than the photos! All of the kitchen appliances were very nice so it was very easy to cook there and enjoy eating far more inexpensively than eating out. All the sleeping areas were spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms were really nice as well. The owners very nicely labeled all the switches, so there was no question about which light you needed, which was the disposal, etc. Although my kids did go across the road and run on the beach for exercise, we did not find that walking across to the beach through the buildings there really worked for us. We either went a very short distance north to Coquina Beach, or a short distance south to some of the beach accesses with parking. Since we had chairs and a cooler (and our bags with towels, suncreen, cameras, etc) that really worked very well for us and they were great beaches. We felt nicely isolated from "city" living, which for us was great, as the kids had enough wedding activities in the evening and beaching-it during the day, that they didn't need the nightlife. I would certainly recommend this property!
