This waterfront property affords one of the best views on Martha's Vineyard Island. From the porch, the scene begins down the lawn to the banks of one of the largest ponds on the Vineyard and onto the popular bathing beach called "The Bend in the Road." The view continues across Edgartown Outer Harbor to Cape Pogue on Chappaquiddick Island, five miles distant.
The house faces east so that the rising sun or moon streams across the water onto the property. This is a restored, historic summer home. Ongoing renovations to this original parcel, once reserved for the founders of Ocean Heights, affords privacy, choice location, and facilities for generous entertaining.
The first thing one can do at the property is relax and do any of the things that privacy would allow. We are waterfront and we offer a canoe and a kayak to enjoy it at no additional expense. We provide many game sets such as badminton, croquet and bocce ball, but any games that require the space of a large lawn to the water are possible.
A sandy beach is a tenth-of-a-mile short walk away and our Property Manager can be readily available to help tenants with any property specific issues. Our porch with its six Adirondack chairs is a popular gathering place to relax and enjoy the views while our dining room has service for 16 persons.

- The property has a unique grandfathered-in lawn to the water's edge which predates the Wetlands Act that now prohibits cutting the grass on wetlands. Our 7 mile view to Cape Pogue lighthouse is made all the more dramatic due to our unique lawn. Also, we offer a canoe and a kayak with our rentals at no additional charge. This is a $1400.00 weekly benefit.

Our long lawn all the way down to the water is a unique benefit. Aside from providing more space than is necessary for outdoor games, like badminton, vollyball, or croquet, just being on an estate with this much space gives the sence of a larger and grander property than any other in the neighborhood.

I just wanted to take a few moments to tell you what a lovely time we had in Martha’s Vineyard at your house. It was so cozy for us! We enjoyed sunrises over the water with two beautiful swans floating majestically in the pond. It was postcard perfect. We played croquet and one of us even ventured out kayaking. The roaring fire at night, to take the chill away, was one of our highlights. Thank you for opening up your home to us. There is a unique air of charm surrounding the whole Vineyard experience and thanks to you we were able to enjoy that quaintness! Thanks, again, for your hospitality.

We so enjoyed our story book cottage at the sea. The living room was very cozy with a working fireplace and the dining room was the perfect set up. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated to invite pleasant dreams. After doing day trips from the house we defiantly decided that Edgartown was the nicest area and were so pleased with our choice of location. The kayak and croquet set were pleasant add ons which we enjoyed and the resident swans in the bay were a delight. Anyone should fully enjoy this beautiful home away from home.

We love your property! We had the extended family over yesterday for my daughter's 29th birthday. Just the families sharing the house are here for dinner this evening, so we will eat around the table. We have each taken a turn in the canoe. I saw the sun rise this morning. On top of all that, I love the water pressure in the shower. :)
