Why the Owner Chose Edgewater
We live in Europe and wanted to have an investment in the USA that our family could also enjoy when we visit the States. My brother lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Back in 1994, my brother recommended that I buy a place in Destin & in Edgewater beach Resort that he had fallen in love with. I was not married then. I trusted his suggestion and when I saw the pictures of the sugary white sandy beaches, I fell in love too. I sent him the money and he bought it for me, sight unseen. Helen & I love it. The rest is history.

We have not experienced any beach in Europe as beautiful & as clean & pristine as the sugary white private beach in front of the Edgewater Resort in Destin Florida. My family and about 8 other familys from our home town spent 2011 fall break in Destin at Edgewater Resort. We got this condo at a great price, and we loved it. We hope to stay in this same condo next year, because all of us are coming back next year. If you are looking for a nice condo with an awesome view from the balcony at a great price, then this is the condo for you. Oh Yeah another good thing is both elevators can be taken to the 9th floor. You will understand this once you stay there.

stayed in this condo in Oct. Condo was not cleaned before we arrived. Trash had been taken out and beds changed, that's it. Handprints all over sliding doors and mirror wall. Candy and popcorn on the floor and tile had not been cleaned. Used coffee filter with grounds still in coffee pot.Called the manager to let him know and was told that there was a vacuum in the closet! 1/2 rolls of toilet tissue in bathrooms, no extra. Was not furnished with a list of items available in condo. Was supplied 1 dish cloth for the week. Very disappointed!
Owner response:We believe that the customer is always right. So rather than defending ourselves or disputing our guest, we focus on fixing the problem & satisfying our guest. We have updated our check list for the cleaning crew to include many additional items to inspect & check off so that if there is a new crew member or if they have an extra work load, they cannot over look or forget any details. We will conduct training sessions time to time to reinforce excellence & higher cleaning standards. Tracy, our guest, is a very sweet lady. I talked to Tracy today & she acknowledged that our management responded to her sister in law’s complaint & Tracy only heard one side of the conversation. Upon getting a call, we offered to send the cleaning crew back to the unit when it was convenient to our guest. The sister in law insisted that we don’t send any body to the unit while they were staying there & had valuables in the unit. Unfortunately, we were not able to talk to Tracy, our guest, at the time. Each time, sister in law answered the phone. Today, I apologized to Tracy again & offered a free night next time she chooses to be our guest. We discussed the whole thing again, and at the end, we laughed & wished each other well.

We have rented properties on the beach all over the world and this condo has one of the best views for the dollar of any of them! I loved the million dollar view of the ocean and pools that was virtually unobstructed and the patio area was quite large, extending from the living room to the bedroom. The unit is also well maintained and very clean and I am very fussy about clean!

Great condo, nicely furnished with tv's for everyone. Balcony view with tables and chairs appreciated morning and evening. Pool's, hottub's and beach can't be beat and across the street, walking distance to factory outlet stores, pharmacy and resturants.

We were pleasantly surprised how the unit looked even better than what the pictures showed. Usually, it is the other way around with most other places we have stayed in. We will be booking again for next year. I loved the view from the bed room balcony and especially enjoyed watching sun rise from the balcony. We had everything we needed in the unit and if we had any questions, the owners were very accessible and accommodating. We loved it and had a great time. It felt like it was our own little paradise

We had the best time in this condo. Kids loved it too, especially heated pool large green yard and playground. Every room has nice elctonics and DSL service kept us in touch. It felt good like your own vacation home. We'll be back. We fell in love.
