Our overall experience here was a very pleasant one. Françoise was incredibly prompt and helpful and we were met, when we arrived by Manon who actually lives in the apartment when it's not rented out. Her special decorative touches were a treat. Everything described on the website was very accurate. The apartment was well stocked, very clean, extremely comfortable and perfect for three adults for one week of active exploration. At night, we would turn the settee around, open the large picture window and watch the neighborhood come alive with workers returning home and people getting baguettes for their dinner meal. It was as if we had a terrace. At night, with the windows closed, the world was shut out and it was very peaceful. Truly an oasis in a busy city. That said, we are Americans and not used to a 1916 building. The lobby appeared in a state of unfinished modernization with exposed wiring and pipes. Once past this, the apartment was in fine condition. We are also unaccustomed to showers without shower curtains causing water on the floor until we understood the system better. The Métro stop given, Simplon, is not the best part of the neighborhood to exit. Jules Joffrin is a station on Line 12 and much more scenic and welcoming. As with all honest reviews, I have told you the minor 'minuses' of this apartment. I would still fully recommend this to a friend (and have). Economically, we felt it was worth it. It is a good home base, away from the major tourist attractions giving us the experience of living in a true Parisian neighborhood. We felt safe here and we would return again. Merci Françoise, Teddy and Manon for a wonderful home away from home.

We had a great time in Paris. The apartment was very convenient in every aspect - close to metro, close to supermarket, ATM(s), bakery, very well stocked with all the essentials. Paris has one of the best metros in the world and it doesn't take more than 10-15 mins to reach any of the museums/ attractions from the apartment. Teddy and Francoise are extremely helpful and very responsive. Overall a wonderful experience !

We spent 11 days at this delightful, relaxing, well-appointed apartment. Francoise and her 2 daughters were very lovely and welcoming. The location is superb--ATM outside the building, a boulanger across the street with wonderful chocolate croissants, a wine shop within 2 blocks, a supermarket within 3 blocks, several cafes and bistros within a short walking distance. The 2 metro stops closeby are also a definite plus, and we took the metro all over Paris. The apt. is roomy with great decor, comfortable bed and sofa bed. The owners are very accommodating and have thought of everything to make their guests stay pleasant. Thank you, Francoise and Family! We look forward to returning.
Owner response:Hello Roberta and Sally Thank you very much for your review, we look forward to seing you again in Paris, Best wishes .merci beaucoup!

The apartment was exactly as listed. The owner's daughter greeted us, and gave instructions on the usage of appliances and local sights. She was organized and welcoming. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with all the kitchen supplies that we would need. The nearby market on Rue du Poteau provided an abundance of culinary options. Having the choice between two different Metro lines made getting around the city much easier. Overall, of the four carefully chosen VRBO rentals that we've enjoyed in the last six years, this was the best!

Our Paris experience coincided with the encounter with Françoise's apartment, located in a quit and elegant square in Montmartre. It has been a very pleasant stay, in a comfortable apartment equipped with all the commodities you need and provided with a certain pesonality. Two Metrò station are very close (less than 5 minutes walking) as well as a bus stop. Françoise has prepared and left inside, available for the guests, a preciuos green folder containing all kind of information on what to visit and do in Paris. It' really precious. We arrived on saturday evening and, following a Françoise's suggestion, on Sunday morning we went to Jacquemard museum for a deliciuos brunch. We felt very happy to live there for 8 days also taking away a small piece of the owner's life, hoping they don't mind about. We''ll never forget such as a welcoming apartment.
Owner response:Hello Francesco, Silvana ,Viviana Thank you so much for your comment and your visit in Paris, come again it is a pleasure to welcome you and take care

Its simply perfect. The location(marie District in A 18) is not downtown but you are in a French neighbourhood(actually a few) with everything you need close by including two metro stops. The apartment is on a square so its quiet. The owner is really accommodating. The unit is normally lived in so everything you need is there including WiFi and telephone. The decor is very funky and tasteful. 10/10

My husband and I stayed at this lovely flat on two different week long trips to Paris. The apartment exceeded our expectations- was so well stocked and beautifully appointed. Manon was very accomodating when we were required to extend our stay one extra day(quel probleme!) because of an airline glitch. The proximity to the Metro makes it very easy to get to- we arrived there with no difficulty from the airport. The boulangerie across the street is a gem- my husband went out every morning to pick up a delicious breakfast meal. The shops on Rue Poteau are divine. Often we didn't make it out to a restaurant for dinner as we had had so much delicious pate, cheese, bread and wine at the apartment. Montmarte is a lovely district and Francoise equally lovely to deal with. All emails were resonded to quickly. I highly recmmend this flat and look forward to a third visit there. Marche St. Pierre for fabric was a shopping highlight.
Owner response:Bonjour Glenn and Martha Thank you so much , we hope you're coming back to PARIS, it was a great pleasure, excellent souvenir! best wishes

The perfect Parisian apartment!! It was great to be met by the owners on arrival. The apartment is superbly appointed, relaxing and is situated in an exciting part of Paris. Many attractions (local food markets, antique markets, Montmartre) are in walking distance. The locals were wonderfully friendly and very tolerant of my extremely poor French. It was great to have two metro lines nearby. Thank you so much for sharing your space Francoise, Teddy and Manon - I will be back!

My husband and I arrived late on a cold March night and we were met by Manon at the entrance. She put our bags in the lift as we walked up the rather gloomy staircase to the first floor. However on entering this high ceiling apartment it was bright and beautifully warm. We found it wonderfully spacious and well laid out (especially compared to our previous Paris apartment experience) and it had everything we needed. The near by shopping street we were directed to called Rue Poteau is in itself a Parisian experience with every variety of high standard food shop as well as a supermarket. The two close metro stations service two different lines and give fast access to anywhere in Paris mostly without a line change. We also walked to Galleries Lafayette, one of the most beautiful department stores in the world, but allow say half an hour for each way. Our other enjoyment after cultural forays in the city was to have a beer at the local bistro "Nord Sud" while watching people go by, or to eat out at L'Olivier around the corner and to buy bread directly opposite the front door. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay for at least a week and its ideal for much longer. It is in an attractive quiet residential area beside a small park and we would certainly love to stay again.
Owner response:Thank you so much Cleone and Peter, it was a pleasure, take care and see you later. Teddy

My 8 year old daughter and I stayed in this wonderful apt for a week in June 2008. Everything about it was perfect. We were met at the airport and well looked after. Everything we needed was within a block or two, including the bakery, metro, shops, markets. Sacre Coeur was a wonderful 10 minute stroll (uphill) which we managed to do every evening. The apt is in a very quiet residential area, but literally a 2 minute walk to ANYTHING needed. We really appreciated being able to come "home" to our apt and relax at the end of a day of walking and sights. The apt is bright and well furnished with everything you can think of. The hospitality and reliability of being able to reach the owners whenever necessary was greatly appreciated. We would DEFINITELY stay here again and would highly recommend this apt for others. We had the best vacation ever and the wonderful apt had alot to do with it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in the apartment the first week in March 2008. It was perfect! The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. The fold out sofa bed was extremely comfortable, much more than anything I've ever tried in the US! It was also quite easy to set up. The apartment was very sunny and quiet. There was a metro station, bakery, pharmacy, bank, fresh produce market and nice restaurant within walking distance. The owner supplied a binder with directions to many areas. The internet access was a real plus. The owners sister, Martine, met us at the start and close of our stay and was very helpful and friendly. I wish we had been able to stay longer! I would highly recommend this apartment as a home base from which to explore Paris.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Paris and this lovely apartment surpassed our expectations. It was beautifully furnished, the kitchen very well equipped and the shops in the quartier wonderful. It was very easy to get to from the airport by public transit- directions very clear. Martine, who met us, and Hugo, who saw us off were lovely. We recommend this gem of a place to all- Montmartre is an exciting place in Paris.

We stayed in this delightful apartment for 1 week in September 2007. It is spacious and comfortable & we highly recommend it. This quiet residential area of Montmartre is ideally situated near attractive Square de Clignancourt with metro stations Jules-Joffrin & Simplon both less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a boulangerie right across the street and nearby Rue du Poteau is a foody heaven with numerous food shops (the Charcuterie de Montmartre and the Fromagerie Quatrehomme are impossible to resist) and a small street market. Thanks to Francoise and Teddy for their hospitality.

We stayed in this lovely apartment on Sq. de Clignancourt in June, and it was just right. We were there with our 12 year old son, and there was plenty of room for all of us, with all the charm we hoped for, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay (especially the bakery across the street!). The neighborhood is quiet at night, convenient, interesting, and not swarming with tourists. I highly recommend it. We would love to visit again!

What a delightful apartment! Everything was perfect. Franciose and her sister, Martine were very helpful. The kitchen had everything needed to fix a great meal. It was a 5 minute walk to a wonderful outdoor market. The walk to the Metro station was about 2 minutes. Delightful cafe's and shops all around! We would definately go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay in this charming apartment on Square de Clingnancourt. It is quiet and more spacious than the pictures suggest. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bed is comfortable. The Metro is handy, as are shops. The Square is particularly pleasant with recent upgrades in the landscaping and children's playground. The large sitting room of this apartment can be completely private from the rest of the rooms, if it is being used as a second sleeping area. If you play piano, bring your own sheet music! The instrument has a lovely tone and is in beautiful condition.
