We stayed at this home for a weekend visit to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from University of San Francisco and could not have been more pleased with the experience. It’s only 3 blocks from USF in a very urban, walkable neighborhood. Having secure parking in the attached garage is a luxury that’s hard to find with rental properties in San Francisco. Above all, the home is comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout. Most impressive was the attention to every little detail a visitor might need to fully enjoy their stay, from the informational guides for local attractions, to the completely outfitted kitchen with all the necessary utensils, appliances, and cookware. We hosted a very nice dinner and enjoyed the evening in the comfortable dining room and living room. We look forward to a return visit, and would easily recommend this rental home to anyone considering a home to rent in San Francisco.

We found the apartment gracious, beautifully furnished and presented in pristine condition. We particularly appreciated the notes of where to eat. The location of the apartment was in a very good area and an added bonus was the availability of transport and the nearby supermarket. We had such a wonderful time during our week in San Francisco, and your home was really just perfect. It had everything we needed, was comfy, beautiful, well furnished and conveniently located. I wish the weather had been nice so we could have enjoyed your enchanting garden more than we did..Such a treasure. We used the fold out sofa beds for a single woman on each, and a couple in the queen bedroom. The arrangement worked well. I would love to rent it again. Again, thank you for making your beautiful pad available to us!

Perfectly Fabulous House/Apartment San Francisco

My husband and I stayed in David's beautiful home for a week in March 2012. The website photos accurately reflect a very warm and inviting home. When we walked in the front door we both said wow! From the entrance hall, a lovely lounge room leads through to a spacious dining room, both very tastefully decorated blending traditional and modern in perfect harmony. The eclectic and interesting art works throughout the house add to the ambience. All the household amenities you could ever need are provided including washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, wifi, computer, printer, good quality towels and bedlinen, a well-stocked kitchen, clean fresh bathroom, to name but a few. We also enjoyed spending time in the second living area next to the open plan kitchen. The house has plenty of room, much more than we've ever had in a holiday apartment before. The whole house was extremely clean. The main bedroom is very cosy and has a really comfortable bed - always important when travelling. It was quiet and peaceful at night. There are about 8 or 9 steps up to the front door from street level so it's fairly easy to carry up the luggage. David was very obliging and easy to communicate with both before and during our holiday. There are great restaurants, cafes, a local supermarket and buses, all close by. We found a very good French restaurant, Bistro Central Parc, only a couple of blocks from the house; we went there 3 times - delicious. We would definitely recommend this San Francisco home to family, friends and anyone who appreciates a real home away from home when travelling. We enjoyed staying in your beautifully decorated, clean and tranquil apartment. Your place felt like our home in San Francisco in a central neighborhood that is charming, safe and oh so amazing! You have managed to create a rental that is so well equipped down to a new sponge and dishtowel in the kitchen. Your thoughtfulness in providing added special touches like being able to use spices or other items made us truly feel like valued quests. We loved the surrounding area especially our ability to walk places and use the buses. The house instructions were very clear and helpful. The customer service you provided was very professional and set us at ease so that we could enjoy our vacation. We would highly recommend this property to anyone of our friends and family. My wife and I spent five lovely days in David's home near Golden Gate Park. Very, very clean and exceptionally well equipped. Lots of light. Very nice decor. The garden was a wonderful surprise. In this home, you can truly get a feeling of living in a San Francisco neighborhood, which is what we were looking for. We found fun local shops and evening ice cream, plus the grocery just down the street. Convenient location to the trails along the bay near Golden Gate Bridge as well as to Muir Woods and the Sonoma/Alexander Valley wine country. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. The importance of the garage cannot be overstated in San Francisco. Truly serves as an excellent home in San Francisco. We were pleased in every way. San Francisco Jewel

To start, this apartment was sparkling clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient. Rooms were spacious, well appointed with art on the walls, high ceilings, and comfortable furniture. Kitchen had every appliance needed from 4-slice toaster to food processor and lots of cookware and cutlery. Owner thoughtfully provides excellent Wi-Fi with laptop, great 42" HD TV, and strategically placed nightlights throughout. Great shower. Rugs were thick, floor sturdy, shades for quiet mornings and light filled afternoons. The 21 bus (to the Ferry Building) is a 2 block walk and a great supermarket (Lucky's) is less than a block. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of restaurants and cafes on Divisadero, a few blocks walk. The very clean garage accommodates a compact car. The owner takes excellent care of this rental, providing a relaxing, clean, quiet and convenient apartment for its guests. A huge thanks - Debby and I will be back ... Doug

A Great Place to Stay in SF!

We had a fabulous time and this home was perfect for our week to meet, greet and fall in love with our 1st grandchild. We highly recommend that our friends stay in this home when they come to visit and we will definitely try to stay there again. This apartment had everything we could have wanted or needed so it made our stay so easy and pleasurable. Plus we had a great week of sunny, mild weather!!! This apartment was perfect for us. We chose it partly for the location, as we love to walk everywhere, and we certainly did that! Haight Ashbury and Golden Gate Park are very close, but we also walked to Japantown, Castro and Mission, and discovered lovely parks along the way, all with glorious views.For anything further we used buses, which we caught just round the corner,and which were really easy to use. Staying in the apartment helped to make us feel part of this lovely neighbourhood, and everything we needed was nearby. The apartment itself was wonderful - just as in the pictures, but with some very personal touches. Loved the artwork everywhere, and the interesting books.The garden room felt really cosy at the end of a long day, and it was lovely to be able to have lunch in the garden a couple of times.Above all, the owner, David, had thought of everything possible to make us feel comfortable and enable us to enjoy our stay. He was on hand (via e-mail!) to answer the slightest question before and during our stay, which was so much appreciated. We certainly hope to go back one day!

Beautiful place, convenient location, garage spot

My wife and two small children (1 and 3) stayed here on a business/pleasure trip to San Francisco. The location is very nice; close to a Lucky's grocery store, Golden Gate park, a restaurant, and a couple of bus stops. Having a garage at the house was really convenient; we didn't have to worry about parking at any point during our stay. [As the owners warn, the spot is small, so don't expect to pull a big SUV in. We had a new Camry, which I think is about the limit of what you can reasonably fit in there.] The house is listed as a 1 bedroom, but it has two living rooms in addition, each with a rollout bed, and with some amount of privacy available (one has a door that closes it from the other two sleeping areas, and the other has curtains). So you could easily sleep 6 at the house. Most of the house is very nicely updated and decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped: pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware, cooking utensils, a great electric tea kettle, coffee maker, espresso machine, toaster oven, etc. The kitchen is a little oddly laid out, with the sink being somewhat far away from the range and refrigerator, and the kitchen is not as well updated as some of the house. But it is clean and has everything you need. One of the living areas had a very nice computer that came in handy for planning our days in San Francisco. There's also a nice, large TV with a DVD & BluRay player. There were also many books in the bookshelves around the house, with a little something for everyone. The shared patio is very nicely kept and could be very relaxing. It does not have much in the way of grass for kids to play in, but it's a very pleasant space. Next time I have business in San Francisco, I'll try to book here again. We had a wonderful stay.

Every year we do a big renovation project to keep the house up to date (new double-hung double-pane windows throughout, new crown molding and paint, etc.). Until we re-do the kitchen we make sure we provide all the major appliances and most smaller ones also to make sure you have all you need for cooking at home. Enjoy!

Perfect location for exploring the NOPA and Golden Gate Park areas. Really enjoyed the owner's recommendations for nearby restuarants and coffee houses. The Haight and all the attactions of Golden Gate Park are an easy walk away. Beautifully appointed home, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a stay in the city.

Home from Home in lovely neighbourhood

We are seasoned visitors to SF, though this was only our second stay in an apartment. We thoroughly recommend this clean, immaculately presented and well equipped house in a safe, friendly and accessible neighbourhood. The owner was very helpful and attentive, both in answering our questions beforehand, and during our stay, dealing promptly with a minor problem we had early on. It was a godsend to be able to park our car in our own garage rather than spend hours driving around looking for a space on the street. Public transport is plentiful too with several bus routes running to and from downtown, and to Golden Gate Park and the Pacific Ocean in the opposite direction, within a handful of blocks. Union Square is only 20 minutes walk away, and the park and Haight Ashbury are even nearer on foot. One great service generously permitted by the owner was the ability to make international telephone calls at no charge from the house. This enabled us to ring our elderly parents back in the UK on a regular basis, which was reassuring. We made much use also of the “office” containing laptop computer and printer. Both internet and wireless connections worked flawlessly, as did the satellite TV system. Oh how we miss "Celebrity Apprentice" now we are back in the UK! The washing machine and drier, dishwasher, oven, toaster, coffee maker and microwave all functioned well too. We did washing almost every day! There was a ready supply of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, as well as other basics. The only thing missing was a kettle - I’m sure that future British guests would welcome one to enable them to make a good cup of tea! We were blessed with beautiful weather for our entire stay, but if it had been bad, there was no shortage of reading matter (there are bookcases everywhere!), or music and films to while away the hours. We were delighted to discover that, far from being the humble corner store we had expected, the Lucky supermarket, just 100 yards away, was a large, fully stocked supermarket. It was so convenient, especially if we decided late that we would eat at “home”, we could then just “pop” there for whatever we wanted. The largest compliment we could pay is that we really felt “at home” here. We intended to “live like locals” rather than mere tourists, and the house helped us to achieve that. The fact that, despite our love of eating out in SF, we only did so on 5 of the 14 nights we were there, says it all.

This is a top-tier apartment with stylish decor and engaging art. It's large: two sitting rooms, a large dining room and a well-equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances. Washer, dryer and dishwasher all worked fine. The owners have spent a great deal of effort to ensure that things are incredibly well organized with easy-to-follow directions for the supplied laptop computer and the automated 100-CD library AV system with extensive choices for jazz, classical and Round Midnight music. We had a fabulous week in SF (full discloser: it was sunny and 66 degrees all week while our East coast home suffered through a snow storm). Learn the bus system and you will find this NOPA apt is in a convenient central location: #5 takes you to the Ocean Beach for a glorious sunset in about 20 min.

Great place for family hangout

This apartment is a great place to stay and, in our case, a family central hangout for visiting relatives during a family reunion at Thanksgiving. We originally planned for three of us, parents and one 20 year old son to stay but when our daughters discovered the extra sofa bed, and the movie collection, not to mention the kitchen where we stocked the fridge, our family of five all stayed comfortably. The location is great- quiet and away from the bar buzz but near Golden Gate Park and on the central bus line. We also appreciate the parking space for a car which got us out to Marin etc. This is a home with books and art, beautiful garden and spaces, comfortable and great reasonable alternative to impersonal hotels. In the words of Governor S., "We'll be back."

Amazing House!

I stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. The house is exactly how it looks, and has everything from a huge TV, to a fully equipped kitchen (better than mine at home!) There are also a number of rooms (dining area, kitchen, lounge and front room); meaning even if the maximum number of people stayed it wouldn’t feel cramped. The garden was also beautiful, and much bigger than the picture suggests. I even spied a BBQ! Lucky supermarket (a full supermarket, not just a corner shop) is a short block away. It literally had every type of food you could imagine. As the kitchen was so well stocked I did end up preparing my own breakfasts, and cooked a couple of evenings. There were many pantry items left over from previous guests, so if you wanted to cook a meal you could check before going to Lucky. I was so glad of the kitchen, as a solo traveler eating out at night seemed a bit daunting. Plus it meant I had the home comforts in a great new city. The laptop, printer and internet were useful. Used it to order take out one night (so I could watch the first episode of Glee on the biggest TV I've ever seen in my life). Connection was great, and the laptop large enough for a couple of people to crowd round and decide what to do in San Francisco. My Mac laptop also logged on to the wifi fine. The bus stop was literally around the corner, and using the internet I was able to print out all routes very easily. I bought a 7 day passport that gave you unlimited travel on the Muni system. However at only $2 per trip, I don't think the passport was needed. When entering the bus your ticket is valid for up to 90 minutes. The maximum time I spent traveling was 45 minutes, and that was to the zoo so travel time really wasn't long. Plus you get to feel like a native (3 times somebody asked me for directions, so I think I blended in well!!!) the closest bus was also 24 hours so no worrying about trying to get home at night. Booking the apartment was easy, and the few questions I had were answered very quickly. Given the time difference (I am in the UK) I do wonder if David does ever actually sleep. There was a document provided that had all info in. everything from taxi numbers, to emergency contact details and how the washing machine works. I would definitely stay here again. Much nicer than one of the hotels around union square (and cheaper, especially if you cook some meals)

The appartment was perfect for us. It was well equiped. In fact this is the first time we are renting an apartment that is equiped like a real home. Well located and near public transportation. We discovered a great French restaurant called the Bistro Central Parc only two block away.

We stayed for three nights, prior to Labor Day 2010. These folks were the best prepared, and most organized I have ever dealt with. The description was accurate, and the process was flawless. The house itself was quite well furnished. The amenities were plentiful, down to the minute details. The place was very nicely laid-out, comfortable, immaculate and decorated well. We got into the garage sub-compact, fit snugly. Back yard patio area was awesome, upstairs neighbors were cool and quiet. We had a great stay, and would love to come back. For this trip, instead of renting a hotel room, we tried a rental property in a residential neighborhood and boy are we glad we did! This house is a traditional San Francisco style home built in the 1920?s. Maintained by friendly and helpful local owners, it was clean, comfortable and oh-so-convenient. It had a full kitchen, garage and a stunning backyard space. Close to bus lines and one block from a full grocery store, it was a snap to get anywhere in the city and a cozy place to land at the end of a busy day. I highly recommend it if you are visiting SF with kids. It’s good for the soul and the pocket book to have a home cooked meal at the end day and space to unwind as a family.

We really enjoyed our week here; the location is great with easy access to Haight & Golden Gate Park. Taxis are easy to access too. There is a Lucky's supermarket only 1 block away where you can stock up on provisions for your stay. The apartment itself is clean, well maintained and well equipped. So much nicer to feel that you are in someone's home! There is a nice garden area too. The owner provides a large amount of useful information & there is a computer with wireless internet access for doing further research whilst there. We would strongly recommend this apartment for a visit to San Francisco - we plan to return for a longer visit in the future & will definitely book this apartment when we do.

This apartment is awesome!I have stayed here twice now and plan to stay again this Fall.It is accurately represented.The location is great-walking distance to Golden Gate Park, close to many good restaurants,and a supermarket 2 short blocks away! The bus stop is right around the corner.It is a sort ride to downtown and/ or San Francisco Zoo and the beach, with out having to transfer buses! The yard is a bonus.The gardens are beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and safe.I would not stay anywhere else.

My family (2adults and 2 older children) recently spent five nights at David’s VRBO. We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations and because of all the little extras included in this home, our vacation was effortless. The home was exactly how he described it. I was a little apprehensive about staying so far away from downtown but it turned out to be a respite from the crowds and it was fun staying in a neighborhood and away from all the other tourists. The house comes with a little packet that lists area cafes, stores and bus stops with detailed directions. It was so nice to know exactly where the coffee shop was so I could walk over there, half asleep, the morning after our 2am arrival. I am not familiar with public transportation but we managed the bus system quite easily with these hints and directions from the packet. I also used the website: Transit 511. After you to plug in your destination, it will give you 3 or 4 different bus options. It was nice having a computer and printer in the house so that I could access this. The neighborhood was safe and the grocery store was close enough so that I could send the kids there. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate breakfast and a few meals at the house. I especially enjoyed playing with the espresso machine. Of course, now I want one of my own. The big thing that saved us a lot of grief and money was having a garage parking space for our rental car. I spent a lot of time researching this trip and finding a parking space around San Francisco is a big coup. I mentioned to David, that my only complaint was a vacation that was much too short. San Francisco is awesome. There is so much to do and everyone was so helpful. We hope to return and when we do, I will definitely stay here again. I recommend this home without hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay at David's home in San Francisco! As others have said, we had "all the comforts of home". The flat was bigger than I expected so there was plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out. The teenagers could watch a movie or be on the computer while we read in the front room or out in the beautiful backyard. We wanted to spend lots of time in Golden Gate Park so the location was perfect. We felt totally comfortable in the neighborhood and it was nice having the grocery store and Starbucks right down the street, not to mention all the cafes and restaurants just a short walk away. The kitchen is Big and has so many gadgets we couldn't possibly use them all. The washer/drier was really convenient. The garage was great, too. Just tight, so believe David when he says compact or mid-size only. Sooo nice to come home at night and have off-the-street parking! All our arrangements went smoothly, David and his manager Richard were so easy to work with and really cared that we had a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this rental! We will be back for sure. Wonderful location with nearby coffee houses, restaurants, grocery store and buslines. Coffee house two and one-half blocks away was excellent. Green Chile restaurant same distance with tasty breakfast and other meals. Wonderful active Nopa restaurant 5-6 blocks away and wonderful French bistro and a Thai restaurants a short drive in Haight district. Buslines on Fulton go all the way to the beach or downtown. Golden Park about 10 blocks away and reachable by busline. Condo is well appointed with everything you need. Garage parking available in the building. Great back yard area for relaxation. One bedroom but two sofa beds available. Had an issue with a light and the owner came right away to take care of it. I formerly lied in San Francisco and this location was great for reliving those days. Great place to stay for exploring San Francisco.

We're dreaming, when we first stepped into the apartment to set everything up for the arrival of my parents the follwing day, we couldn't believe it. We were dancing and screaming. It wasn't a dream, or should I say it was a lived dream for two weeks. I'm an au pair, I work here for one year and my parents visited me and stayed in this real gem. Located in a "San Francisco-house" and you feel like you live there since ever. It is quiet, but central, there's a shop (Lucky's) where you get everything nearby, the bus station is also just around the corner and the bus-line brings you downtown without changing. We liked the best, that there's everything you need or more, you open a drawer because you look for scissors, and they lay there. You can use the computer and the phone for free, the contact to the manager and the landlord is so easy and you feel so comfortable just to write emails with them. The garage's perfect for a little car, you don't need more in SF anyway. My dad loved the garden, we enjoyed the last warm days in November. Sometimes it was hard to get out of the apartment because we slept long, laid around and most of the evenings we cooked at home or my Mom cooked for me my favourite meals, there's not only a microwave, like my dad suspected, there's everything you need a stove, aoven, a huge fridge, a coffemaker and a microwave. :) The only bad thing was to say goodbye, to the apartment and to my parents. We felt at home, thank you so much.

our stay in this flat was enjoyable in all respects. the owner and management were very reliable and helpful about settling all the formal requirements for renting this place. responses to special requests were always met promptly. the flat itself proves to be very comfortable, well furnished and equipped and clean. the location was perfect for us in a quiet neighborhood close to golden gate park and just 20 min to union square by bus. some restaurants and a nice supermarket just up the street. we would most certainly want to go back to this place next time we travel to SF! thanks to the owner for enabling us to enjoy a nice couple of days in SF.

THE PERFECT HOUSE The house we rented in SF had everything we hoped for: clean, comfortable, nice furniture, kitchen appliances excellent, towels and linens of the finest quality, all necessities and extra nicety provided. THE PERFECT PLACE for a native San Franciscan, now expatriated. - Five Stars This is an attractive welcoming elegant property. Quality fittings are everywhere, as is the owner's care for the visitor. The owner's agent is a friendly, amenable available person. In addition, fresh flowers and a welcoming phone call went a long way to make my first days less of a trial, after my trip from Australia. As I am a native, I did not need the many tourism brochures that were left for the visitor, but did notice they were up-to-date, and included recommendations for restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would like to add mine for Nopalito. Public transport is around the corner. Easily accessed garage under the flat. A great walking neighbourhood. Large supermarket one block away. I was a lone traveller, but had many of my relatives and old friends to stay for a night or three. The pull out couch in the front room is very comfortable for two. The bedroom is dark and quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. All linens are high quality (100% cotton sheets, excellent quality towels, numerous dishtowels) and easy to find. Glassware, crockery, cutlery excellent quality as well. Any kitchen item you could want, including very good knives, pots and pans. I was able to cook several multicourse meals with no problem. Used the garden several times, for meals, and just for reading the paper. Lovely, comfortable, pretty, and looked after every other week. Appreciated the use of the computer as well, and the well equipped desk area. This flat is a home, and since I was there for such a very long time (most of September and October) it was an important for me to feel this as part of my successful San Francisco visit. My friends were amazed at the quality, and commented on the fine art on the walls, the many books on the shelves, and the interesting neighbourhood, most unlike the one I grew up in, just a few blocks away. ON A SCALE OF 1 to 10, THIS PLACE IS 1,000!!! Whether first-time or veteran renters, this gorgeous, quiet home in San Francisco will exceed all of your expectations. I'm heading back for my 4th (or is it 5th?) stay! The location is central and superb; it's quick and easy to get to Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Pacific Heights and other tony neighborhoods, the downtown and financial district, Market Street, the Castro, and many of SF's most visited sites and museums. The apartment is impeccably clean. Well-maintained. Full of art, books and CD's. Every detail has been thought out for guests' comfort. The kitchen is a dream with more small appliances than you'll ever use. No need to spend half your vacation running around for detergent, salt, plastic wrap or coffee filters; it's all there for your use and convenience. The electronics are superb: large TV, CD and DVD players, computer and printer. David, the owner, and Richard, his local associate, are delights to deal with: friendly, responsive, and respectful of privacy. On top of all this, you get a beautiful, deep garden in back and -- worth its weight in gold -- a GARAGE underneath the house. Elsewhere in SF, you'll either pay $40/night for parking, or have to circle for two hours to find a spot. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals, and have my own listings, and I can say without a doubt that this home is a good as it gets! Just don't stay there when I want to go! OUR NEW HOME IN SAN FRANCISCO! - Five Stars We were really pleased to find this flat just as advertised (and better than the pictures). Clean throughout, with more than enough space for the two of us. Good quality linens and towels and a super comfortable bed in a quiet bedroom. Lots of hot water. The big kitchen had more gadgets, small appliances and coffee makers than we could ever use! It was handy to have a supermarket a block from the house so we could have breakfast at home before heading out then cook or order deliveries to eat in during the evening after returning. Very nice garden! Really peaceful. We also liked the walk to the Castro area over the nearby hills with great views. Other parks nearby made for a relaxing time as we are not into shopping. Public transportation is only a block from the house and we could get downtown in about 20 minutes by bus. (We bought the one week bus pass which also works on the cable cars.) Altogether a very pleasant stay in this home. We considered it our home immediately on entering and have recommended it to our friends! EXCELLENT PLACE as a HOME BASE FOR YOUR SIGHT SEEING TRIPS TO SF - Four Stars As a family of 4 with 2 kids we stayed in this house for 4 days. The service we received before visiting the place and during our stay was very friendly and client oriented. Each question we asked was answered and in such a way that we were well informed before entering the house. House is well equipped. Bathroom could use an extra square meter but has everything you need. Only item that could be improved is the sofa in the living room were out 2 kids slept. Quality of the mattress is not what we expected given the outstanding equipment and amenities of the other furniture in the house. Loved the area and shops within walking distance of the house. We were able to park our car and use public transportation to get around SF. We loved staying in a real neighborhood in San Francisco. The flat has all the comforts of home and is very well decorated and maintained. I highly recommend this flat. CHARMING AND RELAXING - Five Stars My husband, sister and I were so pleased to find such a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. The house is charming and the neighborhood is calm. All instructions and suggestions were helpful and clear. We enjoyed the garden one sunny afternoon and had friends stop in for dinner. If you're a walker, the De Young, Academy of Sciences etc, are within reach. We took the 21 bus home (from just outside the park north of the museums), which stops at Central on Hayes. We've stayed in SF hotels many times in the past, but this is so much more relaxing. We will be back. Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway. We were very very pleased by the flat; it is as good as described. The vacation is excellent with both a grocery store and a bus stop nearby. We were able to park our car and use public transportation to get around SF. We loved staying in a real neighborhood in San Francisco. A TRULY DELIGHTFUL PLACE TO STAY - Five Stars Thank you David and Richard for making our family vacation such a wonderful experience. The house was lovely and had everything we needed and so much more! Our five year old son loved playing in the beautiful garden and also enjoyed the Alamo Square playground that was in walking distance. Getting around the city was a breeze from this location (lots of bus options). It was a very quiet neighbourhood for sleeping too. Whether first-time or veteran renters, this gorgeous, quiet home in San Francisco will exceed all of your expectations. I'm heading back for my 4th (or is it 5th?) stay! The location is central and superb; it's quick and easy to get to Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Pacific Heights and other tony neighborhoods, the downtown and financial district, Market Street, the Castro, and many of SF's most visited sites and museums. The apartment is impeccably clean. Well-maintained. Full of art, books and CD's. Every detail has been thought out for guests' comfort. The kitchen is a dream with more small applicances than you'll ever use. No need to spend half your vacation running around for detergent, salt, plastic wrap or coffee filters; it's all there for your use and convenience. The electronics are superb: large TV, CD and DVD players, computer and printer. David, the owner, and Richard, his local associate, are delights to deal with: friendly, responsive, and respectful of privacy. On top of all this, you get a beautiful, deep garden in back and -- worth its weight in gold -- a GARAGE underneath the house. Elsewhere in SF, you'll either pay $40/night for parking, or have to circle for two hours to find a spot. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals, and have my own listings, and I can say without a doubt that this home is a good as it gets! Just don't stay there when I want to go!
