The View From the cabin in theFall (this is the actual view & NOT a stock photo)
Location: Murphy, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, USA (Just 2 hours from downtown Atlanta)
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-10)
Arguably the best view in the county is here at The Peak on Panther Mountain. This cabin sits at the top of Panther Mountain, easy to get to but just ten minutes from downtown Murphy. The road is paved so no four-wheel drive is necessary but you will feel miles away from civilization. Seventy-mile views from every room and the hot tub on the multi-level deck is wonderful. You'll likely see snow on the mountain tops in the winter, you can see Lake Hiawasee in the distance year round, and you are guaranteed the most incredible show of colors in the fall.
The inside of The Peak on Panther Mountain is decorated in mountain decor. There are beautiful hardwood floors in the great room and kitchen. The stone wood-burning fireplace (firewood is provided) is nice and there is also central heat and air conditioning as well as ceiling fans to keep you comfortable regardless of the season. One bedroom downstairs has a double-size bed and a single daybed as well. The upstairs sleeping loft with its own bathroom has two double beds. There are also two roll-out cots for additional sleeping. It also has a fully-equipped kitchen but there are also good restaurants and shopping in Murphy.
Many of our guests are repeat visitors who have come to The Peak on Panther Mountain each year. It is guaranteed that you will want to have your picture taken with the unbelievable view in the background!
If The Peak on Panther Mountain is not available for your requested dates, please check out our other cabin called Ernies on the Creek just 20 minutes away in the Blue Ridge, GA area (vrbo listing #50249). We also have Margarita located in Pine Mountain, GA when you want to stay near world famous Callaway Gardens (vrbo listing #72641). Both of these cabins can be viewed on this same website.
