This spacious 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom, Mexican home is located in the peaceful, upscale area of Colonia San Antonio. It is close to all amenities including shopping, restaurants, market ,and museums. You can easily reach the jardin, Instituto de Allende,or Mercado Artesanias within a 10-15 minute walk.
This house is perfect for a couple or family looking for a long term rental or a large group vacationing together. It has three good sized bedrooms, four baths (one bathroom is on the roof), a living room, dining room and large modern kitchen. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a fireplace. The other two bedrooms have two twins each. There are 2 nice lounge chairs on the roof with nice thick cushions. My kids have used them to sleep on for slumber parties and on the roof. There is a huge rooftop with potted plants that can be used for sunbathing, painting, sculpting, entertaining guests with margaritas or playing tether ball. This home has the bonus features of a one car garage and a well established patio giving this home lots of warm sunlight and a central focal point. If you don't use the garage for a car you can use the space for an outdoor entertainment area
An English speaking house manager will be available for any house needs that arise. For short term rentals a maid comes once a week to clean linens, towels, mop, etc and a gardener is included in the rental fee. If you want the maid more often the house manager can help arrange this for an extra fee.
There are loads of fun activities in SMA. Get the Atencion newspaper to learn about local Art classes, horseback riding excursions, bicycling adventures, hot air ballooning, hot springs, massage, nightlife, theater, concerts, and of course shopping, festivals, and life in the jardin.

This was my first trip to San Miguel. I took my family and we had an extrodinary two weeks and can't wait to return. I went with this house because of it's convenient location and price. My intuition served me well as the neighborhood was quiet and in close proximity to the markets and jardin. The bedrooms were good size, comfortable spacious layout throughout house and the best part was the inside garden with nearby sitting area. The rooftop terrace upstairs was huge. We hung our clothes up there to dry, entertained some people we met and the kids played tetherball. The photos need updating as there were some differences. The owner explained to me that they did some recent renovations and haven't yet had a chance to update the photos. The house manager, Leonor, spoke perfect English and went out of her way to be helpful. She gave us some suggestions about how to get around. We spent a lot of time at Juaraz park and painting in the main jardin. The kids favorite part was, "Xote",a nearby water park. For only 100 pesos per person we spent all day swimming, going down slides and tubes into naturally hot water. There was also a large playground and lawns to picnic on. Food was served there too but wasn't that great. I'd suggest bringing a picnic lunch with you and plan to be there for the day. We're already talking with friends about returning at Easter and will probably go with this same house since it's big enough for two small families and we know our way around now.

I spent 2 weeks at Thanksgiving at this lovely home with my mother and my two young children. I choose Thanksgiving because I wanted to avoid too many Christmas tourists. The weather was great this time of year and nothing was closed for celebration and there were plenty of restaraunts to choose from to get the traditional American dinner. The house was as it was listed with 3 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed. The house manager, Leonore, was a big help and guided us on where to get fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh tortillas and rent a movie from blockbuster. The maid came twice a week and the gardener came once a week. We usually breakfasted on the roof in the early morning sun. After a day of shopping or seeing the sights we'd recharge our batteries with tea and "pan" in the garden terrace. The kids loved to practice their newly acquired Spanish skills by going just across the quiet street and a few doors down to a tiny room front "tienda" to buy chips or candies or I'd send them if we were out of eggs or milk. They thought it was a kick to bring 6 eggs in a plastic bag. The higlights of our two weeks were going to the La Gruta Hot springs, my kids going off to learn Spanish at Centro Bilingue M-F 9-1:00 and a fantastic horseback riding excursion at Xotolar. We made local friends one day in Juaraz park and really felt at home in this small colonial town. We loved it so much that my kids and I are going back in the summer for 3 weeks to continue studying Spanish and soaking up this wonderful culture. The owner told me they have done some upgrades since I was there so that will be a bonus.
