The house is a nearly 3,000 sf classic design. It is located in a quiet, desirable area of SLO, on a dead-end street adjacent to Madonna Mtn (aka San Luis Mtn), and a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. Located behind this main house is a studio apartment with it's own patio and private entrance, which is occupied.
The large lot allows for single-story living, with rooms designed around a private, enclosed patio. The patio boasts a lap pool complete with jets for resistance swimming, a 6-person spa/hot tub, umbrella-covered outdoor dining, and ample seating for guests to relax outdoors.
Much of the home has 10' ceilings, ceiling fans, and abundant natural light.
The living room is spacious with lots of windows, a cozy fireplace, and large TV. An adjacent wood-paneled family room opens up to the living room. If need be, it can be closed off via two large pocket doors for privacy and more intimate gatherings, or for use as a 5th bedroom. It also boasts a lg-screen TV, as well as a pool table, and built-in bar.
The sunny, gourmet kitchen offers high-end stainless steel appliances such as a 6-burner Thermador range and two ovens, a built-in breakfast table that seats 6 comfortably, and a desk area. It is stocked with everything guests may need.
A formal dining room features a custom-made table that seats 8-10, built-in cabinetry, and french doors that open onto the patio.
There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The master bedroom has a queen size bed along with a twin daybed and pop-up twin trundle for extra sleeping, a TV, a huge walk-in closet, and an en-suite spa-like bathroom with 2 sinks and a separate shower and tub. Bedroom 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, and share a 'Jack 'n Jill' bathroom with a tub/shower. And bedroom 4 has two full/double beds and a next door bathroom with a shower.
Wireless cable internet runs throughout house.
Onsite parking available for 3-4 cars easily, more with shifting.
The home has been nicely sound-engineered as the 101 freeway is just a quick hop away.

This home is a stone's throw from the base of San Luis Mountain (aka Madonna Mtn), a popular hiking/biking spot, and is just a short walk or bike ride to downtown, where you'll find great shopping, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Downtown enjoy the tastes of Thursday night's Farmer's Market, watch your kid's explore Children's Museum, leave your creative mark at Gum Alley, watch a flick at the historical Fremont Theatre, and of course visit the old Mission San Luis Obispo de Toloso. Or pack a picnic lunch and splash in the creek that runs through town. SLO is nestled between green rolling hills/vineyards east, and gorgeous sandy beaches west. Take the bikes and ride the Bob Jones Trail to sunny Avila Beach, just 10 minutes away. Or explore the coastline from nearby Montana de Oro State Park north to San Simeon. On the way there you'll pass through Morro Bay with its active fishing fleet, the funky beach town Cayucos-by-the-Sea, and the quaint village of Cambria. Or spend the day touring the many world-class wineries and tasting rooms.
