About the owner: The owners of this genteel old lady purchased her in 1999. The home is a double-camelback and was lovingly renovated over a period of several years. The apartment has modern amenities (central air conditioning and heat and an alarm system) but retains its old charm with exposed brick, fourteen foot ceilings, and hardwood floors.
Why the Owner Chose Garden District: We fell in love with the Irish Channel! It is close to downtown, Uptown, the Garden District, public transportation, and is walking distance from almost anything we could possibly need. Our neighbors are warm and friendly and the homes in our neighborhood, which is an Historic District, are beautiful.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: Our apartment is one block from Parasol's Bar and Restaurant, two blocks from Tracey's and zero blocks from the St. Patrick's Day festivities! That said, most other days of the year our neighborhood is quiet and residential.
