Baiersbronn in the northern Black Forest is famous for the best gourmet temples as well as being a ‘walker’s heaven’ with marvellous walker’s huts, and a fantastic family-friendly holiday resort. Tonbach with Traube-Tonbach is situated in the most beautiful valley of the whole district – with no through traffic. It is located on a peaceful, sunny hill with a splendid view of Baiersbronn valley and the forest. The garden, sunbathing lawn and children’s playground (swing, sand box) give you lots of space, as do the apartments themselves with separate bedrooms, kitchen and in some cases 2 balconies. Parking space at the house. Special services: morning bread rolls, washing machine, dryer. Hiking and cross-country ski training. Public transport is free of charge! Lots of cultural establishments. Good place to start from for trips to Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Freiburg, the Europa park, museums, etc. Grocery shop 250 m, supermarket 2 km, restaurant 500 m, bus stop 250 m, railway station 3 km

We (family of 4) booked a week in July at Rinkenturm apartment with our friends (family of 5) directly below in Sattelei. Overall, we had a very enjoyable week, despite the mixed weather. We found the descriptions of the apartments to be accurate, and the properties very clean and well maintained. The views across the valley are fantastic and Roland and Birgid made us welcome when we arrived. We have set out below things we liked, some we think could be improved and some practical information for future guests. Good *Roland and Birgid both speak good English and gave practical advice about places to visit. We would recommend Europa Park for children, a day in Baden Baden and a visit to the Black Forest museum. *Locally, a walk to Sattelei and Rinkenturm with a drink and a meal at Sattelei Hutte is a must. The outdoor pools at Baiersbronn are excellent - we went every day. *We all slept very well, thanks to the very comfortable beds, good bedding and the fresh clean air. *We can recommend Turmbrau in Freudenstadt for great food and beer, and the Italian restaurant in Baiersbronn run by a very friendly Turkish family. Not so Good * It would have been helpful to have clear instructions as to how to use the washing machine and tumble dryer. Our clothes came out very wet because we needed to put in more Euros. * The towels that are provided need to be replaced during the middle of the week. * A second key for the apartments would be helpful when large parties staying Practicalities * If you arrive on a Saturday, make sure you stock up at Lidl, ideally, before you arrive. *It would be helpful if clear directions to get to the apartments were provided as a matter of course i.e from BaiersbronnRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Sehr schöne, saubere, modern eingerichtete Wohnung. Sehr ruhig, direkt an den Spazierwegen. Wunderbare Aussicht auf beiden Balkonen. Leider funktioniert der Brötchenservice nicht an Sonn- und Feiertagen.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

Die Ferienwohnung wurde wie im Inserat beschrieben vorgefunden. Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt, gemütlich eingerichtet und verfügte über die beschriebene Ausstattung hinaus auch die Dinge, die man häufig vergisst einzupacken. z.B. Küchenrolle, Backpapier, etc. Auch haben wir den Brötchenservice sehr genossen. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr idyllisch und bereits von dort aus haben Sie die Möglichkeit Wanderungen zu starten. Auch der Umkreis lädt zu Spaziergängen und Entdeckungstouren ein. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Wir haben unsere Woche in der Ferienwohnung Sattelei sehr genossen und können diese jederzeit weiterempfehlen.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.
