This cozy, comfortable condominium is the perfect launch pad for your Summit County adventure. Picture this: You wake to the panoramic views of the Gore Mountain Range, snow-studded against a crystal blue cloudless sky.
As you hop out of your comfy queen-size bed you flip on the coffeemaker, fireplace, and 27" TV in that order. After a cup a jo, a weather update on the resort channel, and a hearty breakfast you're ready to hit the slopes. You get dressed, slip on your boots in the comfort of your very own living room, grab your skis, and walk just 156 steps (we counted them) to the free Summit Stage bus stop. Just about 22 minutes after walking out of your front door you're on the slopes of Keystone. No driving, no parking, no schlepping, no hassle... just fun, convenient, relaxing skiing.
That's what our condo is all about ... fun and convenience. The sledding hill, bike trail, lake, and marina are right behind the condo. A park with volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts, along with a baseball diamond and playground are right across the street. So is the bowling alley and some great restaurants. The Dillon Amphitheater and another playground is a 5-minute walk. If you want to actually get into your car and drive 3 minutes you open up a whole new world of possibilities including: a recreation center with four different indoor pools, a multi-screen cinema, City Market, Borders, Starbucks, a bunch of restaurants from sushi to Ruby Tuesday ribs, and yes Outlet Malls!
The condo sleeps up to seven. The queen bed in the main bedroom looks out on beautiful Gore Range views. In addition, there is a bunk bed with a pull out trundle and an almost new, very comfortable, full-size sleeper, nicely situated so you can drift off staring into a cozy fire. With two full baths, plenty of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, and some of the best rates in the area, you have everything you need for a comfortable, convenient, and cost-effective vacation.
The condo is at The Lodge at Lake Dillon, centrally located near 6 major ski areas: Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Copper Mountain, Vail and Beaver Creek. The Summit Stage stop (did we mention it's 156 steps from your front door) provides FREE transportation to most ski areas. Along with skiing, you can sled, cross-country, and snowshoe on and around Lake Dillon right behind the condo. Also close by are sleigh rides, dog-sled rides, skating, tubing and snowmobiling.
During the summer take advantage of the bike path behind the condo for a trip around the lake, to Keystone, or to any number of great mountain biking trails. Then relax in the condo pool (kept at a constant 86 degrees during the summer for day or night swimming), hot tub, or sauna.
Summer is also a great time for festivals and concerts at the ski areas as well as the Dillon Amphitheatre. The amphitheater offers free concerts, dancing, a farmer's market, plays, and more. The marina, also a five-minute walk away, offers sail, motor, and pontoon boat rentals along with one and two person kayaks. Great, easy access fishing is available right off the shore directly behind the condo or in any number of the surrounding streams. Add to that, year-round access to great shopping, restaurants, cinema, bowling, and the Silverthorne recreation center all a 3-5 minute drive, along with close by hiking, white-water rafting, and four-wheeling and you have the perfect location for taking advantage of all Summit County has to offer.
