All we said when we walked in was WOW! Beautiful, modern, huge! The location is perfect. PeteVeccio bridge is right around the corner.Great restaurants and all the attractions are within walking distance. Just don't eat at a little cafe across the street. It looks attractive, but in fact it's expensive and the food is average. Alessandra is really nice and helpful. The only problem we had was noise. People stay up on the bridge really late and they are pretty loud. But aside from the noise, it was perfect!

We were 4 adults staying in this marvellous apartment. We were greeted by Alessandra, who was a delight and so helpful. She made us feel a part of the neighbourhood. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms suited our needs. The kitchen was well equipped. The living room was roomy and the balcony was always occupied by one of us enjoying the view and activity of the river and the Ponte Vecchio. It was handy to have the supermarket close by. But better still were the number of outstanding restaurants just at our doorstep. We hope to return soon. Thank you, Alessandra, for all your help and good cheer.

If anything, the pictures in this listing don't do the apartment justice. We stayed there for 10 days, and it was a wonderful sanctuary at the beginning and end of each day -- and a lovely place for the cocktail hour. The location couldn't be more ideal. Within an easy walk of the Uffizzi, the Pitti Palace, S. Lorenzo market, L'Accademia, Piazza Santo Spirito, and many fabulous restaurants -- we especially loved Al Tranvai (Piazza Torquato Tasso), Osteria de Cinghale Bianco (across the street and a few blocks west of the apartment), Momma Gina (also across the street and just west), Osteria Antiqua Mescita San Niccolo (just a few blocks east of the apt.), Trattoria 4 Leoni (near Pitti Palace). The nearby grocery store (blue awnings -- name escapes me) has a pretty good wine selection -- and you can't go wrong with the Chianti Classico's. Beautiful cheeses also -- as well as anything else you might need. Alessandra is a doll. So organized, efficient, reliable, and FUN. I would, without hesitation, recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Florence. And, if I'm ever fortunate enough to visit Florence again, I'll definitely be landing at TraDuePonti!!
Owner response:Thank you for your review Leslie, I hope to see you backin Florence sometime!!

This apartment was presented very well in both the description and photos - there were no disappointments. We were shocked with how spacious it is - as sometimes photos are deceiving The apartment was clean; rooms very comfortable; well stocked kitchen. The views are beautiful, and easy accessibility to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing attractions. Alessandra was very helpful - both prior to our arrival (in emails) and when we arrived - showing us around the apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and look forward to my next visit!

There are so many wonderful things to see and do in Florence. You can walk to most of them from this apartment. The location is amazing. The Ponte Vecchio really is right out the window. You can hear the delightful music played there weekend evenings but other than that the apartment is quiet. The apartment itself is very nice, clean, roomy and has everything you need to be comfortable while you're there. The manager is a lovely woman. You will not regret staying in this wonderful place. My only regret is that we only reserved a week. Next time, I'll know better and will book at least two weeks.

My husband and I spent a delightful four days at this very clean and well-stocked condo. The location and view cannot be beat. We found several excellent restaurants within a block and one day after wandering afar in Florence hopped on a city bus which delivered us right across the street from home. We enjoyed bringing food in and just sitting watching the view throughout the night. The apartment had coffee, condiments, appliances, washer, internet, printer and much more. The few personal neccessities we needed could be bought at the supermarket a half block away. We could wander out at 9pm and enjoy the street scene and drop into a concert at a neighborhood church grab a glass of wine and be back to our view by midnight. Our host was very helpful and arranged early morning transportation to the airport. The pictures on website accurately depicts the modern apartment.

BELLISSIMO! My husband and adult son have stayed twice at this glorious apartment - we will always continue to only stay with Alessandra in this beautiful city! The apartment is even more fabulous in person - and I only hope by telling you how wonderful the apartment is and how gracious Alessandra is, that we will be able to still find dates available for us! Every room in the apartment is immaculate - the kitchen is wonderful to work in - our son loves to cook and every imaginable utensil is provided! (The best supermarket has been built less than 100 metres away - this supermarket was not available on our first stay - and is now famous with the locals - wines, cheese, fresh produce - great cuts of meat - spatchcocks, etc). However, back to the apartment! The bedrooms are beautifully finished with fine linens and so peaceful for sleeping. The bathrooms are luxurious - providing every amenity and soft sumptuous towels. The dining room, however is the piece de resistance! For breakfast lunch and dinner you experience the most famous and magnificent aspect of Firenze! From our first arrival we felt that we were home - and Alessandra is such a wonderful host - helping in any way she can in such a gracious manner, her local knowledge and the fact that she is not far away is invaluable. We can't wait for our return in 2011 (subject to availability!). Ciao from Raine, Jim & James

We stayed at the Tra Due Ponti apartment for 8 wonderful days during October 2009. The apartment is everything that is advertised on the website and so much more. The views from the apartment are spectacular. The apartment itself is very spacious, was spotlessly cleaned when we arrived, and is very well equipped. The building is lovely and the location could not be better. Dealing with Alessandra and Mrs. Gaito was an added pleasure. We have traveled to Florence numerous times but have always stayed in hotels. Now that we have found Tra Due Ponti, we will never stay anywhere else. In fact, we have already booked our reservations for 2010.

Dear Alessandra, I have wanted to write for months now to thank you for our wonderful time at your fabulous apartment. My family and I stayed at your lovely apartment last Christmas season -- it was magical! I would love to visit again and stay with you. We thought your apartment and view were magnificent, and the location was the best possible in Florence. Thank you again! I hope we can someday return. Sincerely, Julie Ales
Owner response:Hi Julie, it is good to hear from you after almost a year. Thank you for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the apartment. I hope one day you and your family will be back in Florence. We will be honoured to have you at our apartment again. My best to all of you, Alessandra.

My wife, 20 year old daughter and I stayed for a week in January 2009. Apartment living in Italy does not come any better than this. Apart from the facilities, the assistance given by Alessandra in our arrival process made our stay an absolute pleasure. facilities were impeccable, the views astounding and the location, particularly for reasonably priced restaurants ideal....a tip...try the new mini supermarket located off Borgo San Jacopo for good value produce...vegetables in particular as good as market quality and at comparable prices. Would I return? Any time, any time.

My husband and our teenage daughter spent five days at tradueponte over spring break March 2008. We were so impressed with the care that Allesandra put into the fit and finish of the place AND how helpful she was answering our every question. We said good-bye to hotels years ago, but the trade-off means relying on a smooth exit and departure, and she had it down pat. Our only issue: The master bedroom faces the busy street, so bring earplugs and/or a sound machine.

We stayed at Tra Due Ponti in early March 2008. We found the apartment to be everything and more that was advertised. It was quiet, very clean, updated, modern, and comfortable. The views out the window onto the Arno are fabulous. It is right off a bus stop for easy transportation and close to all the major sights and some great restaurants. Allesandra was more than helpful in all aspects of us enjoyng Florence. We have fallen in love with Florence, and when we return, we will definitely stay again at Tra Due Ponti.

This was the perfect apartment for two couples traveling together with bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite sides - totally private. We were right in the middle of everything with wonderful views out every window. The apartment is very clean and furnished very confortably. We enjoyed cooking our meals and purchasing the fresh vegetables, pastas and wines at the street shops below our apartment. Alessandra was a great hostess, appearing on time, answering all our questions with good humor, left info where she could be reached, but then left us alone so we could feel this was truly our place for the week. We had a marvelous time and would love to return.

February 2008. My husband and I spent 6 days at the apartment recently to celebrate a wedding anniversary. It would be difficult to find a more romantic spot in Florence, with the Ponte Vecchio bridge almost within touch, through the apartment windows. Alessandra, who was there to greet us, was totally charming and full of helpful information. If you want a place to stay that is spacious, stylish, comfortable and close to all amenities, this is the place for you!

We (mom and 3 teens) stayed in this wonderful apartment, for 10 days in mid NOV 2007. We all decided we could easily, and happily live here for months! The location is central to everything: only a few hundred meters from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. It is one floor up, which makes for a wonderful river experiences watching the rowers, spotting wild-life in the river (neutra, ducks, fish), or the pattern of the rain on the water. Even on the grayest and stormiest winter day, we loved being in this apartment! My teen age boys enjoyed watching the activities on the street side too (one lane, with upscale shops and lovely cafe surround this apartment). We found the bridge to be extremely safe, and the reputation for pickpockets unfounded. There seemed to be friendly and helpful policia or private security 24/7, likely to ensure the security of all that FABULOUS gold jewelry in the shops on the bridge. We would often be out and about walking to/from the apartment until very late at night. We always felt safe and secure. For those that wish to visit Firenze in winter months, the heating system in this apartment is incredible: modern and on thermostat! And hot water is "on demand" so their is no worry about running out of hot water. The kitchen is modern and well appointed, with a 4 burner cooktop, microwave/oven, HUGE refrigerator, dishwasher and a washer! (there is a clothes drying rack in the apartment as well as iron, and we found everything dried over night). The beds were very comfortable. AND there are electric roll down shutters on all the windows, making the apartment quiet and dark should you want this. ALL the rooms are spacious. The two bathrooms generous in size with nice showers, large sinks, huge mirrors and beautiful tile. We enjoyed the travel books on the bookshelves (left by prior visitors). There is a television hooked up to satellite and a computer hookup that is relatively fast. The floors are wood or tile, and the entire apartment was very clean and dry (no mold, no mustiness). The large windows make it bright inside, the furnishing are modern, the location is safe, and the owner WONDERFUL, speaks english, is honest, (when asked to send deposit via computer, do not worry) and knows the area. We hope to stay here again, and have recommended it to friends and family.

My daughter, two teenage granddaughters and myself stayed in this beautiful apartment, and we loved everything about it. The interior, the views, the owners. Florence was beautiful, everyone so friendly. We have recommended this apartment to friends and would love to stay there again. The biggest decision of the holiday was which Italian leather handbags to buy. So much choice.

The Tra Due Ponti apartment was perfectly located on the Oltrarno side of Florence. We could see the Ponte Vecchio from the dining/living room; truly a room with a view! We loved the central location, the size of the apartment, and the cleanliness of everything. There was a small convenience store right across the street where we found the best fresh pesto! Alessandra was so kind to even help retrieve a lost ipod and to get it back to us through a friend! Thanks for a wonderful stay... we'll definitely return.

This apartment is wonderful, fantastic, clean and in a perfect location. Photos don't do it justice. Alessandra was right on time, and was very helpful. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Florence. After a busy, noisy day, this apartment was a refuge. I loved the ducks that live along the riverbank and come under the apartment balcony for goodies.

This apartment made my month in Florence during the Summer of 2005 a perfect experience. The location cannot be surpassed. It is clean and secure, with one side of the apartment opening onto the Arno, so close you can hear the live music drifting across the water at night, and the other side of the apartment overlooking the delightful Borgo San Jakopo. This is the perfect place to call home while in Florence. Of all my friends who have stayed in Florence, all agree this is the ultimate apartment!
