This peaceful three bedroom, two and a half bath residence on Fernwood Point is available for a 2-week or longer-term rental. This house is single floor living with a stunning sunny southwest aspect, and views of Mt. Sunapee, the Loon Island Lighthouse and the main body of Lake Sunapee. Directly on Lake Sunapee with 160 feet of shore frontage, this property has been in the family since the 1950's. There is a floating "U-shaped" dock/boat slip, with the boat space included. The floating dock is anchored to a cement dock with a bathhouse/changing rooms. A level front lawn is 10 feet from the shore.
The 2000 square foot house, all on one level, is in three main sections which consist of:
1. The master bedroom has a secluded view of the lake, with sliding glass doors opening to a flagstone porch. Also are a walk-in closet and master bath with stall shower and double sinks. Newly carpeted and repainted.
2. The center section is the living room with fieldstone fireplace, large paned windows with direct lake/mountain views and cathedral ceiling, all paneled with gumwood. This open space includes upright piano, coffee table, a wet bar, and half bath off the bar.
3. The original section of the house includes two bedrooms (one of which newly painted), a wood paneled den/TV room lined with bookcases, wood paneled dining room with large paned windows with lake/mountain views and kitchen. There is a full basement under the original part of the house with washer and drier and some storage space.
