Ark Royal is a fully equipped, 2-bedroom, 1-bath condominium apartment in the leafy urban suburb of Sea Point. The Ark is a secure building that includes a reserved, secure parking spot.
Sea Point is the ideal jumping off point to see Cape Town, the Cape Peninsula and the Western Cape. By car, you are 5 minutes from the V&A waterfront and city center, 10 minutes to the Table Mountain tramway and the Clifton and Camps Bay beaches. You are 20-30 minutes from some of the best golf in the Western Cape. The wine routes are 20 minutes to an hour away.
The apartment itself has an open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining area leads out onto a balcony with mountain and partial sea views. The living area comes equipped with an entertainment centre, with TV, stereo and CD/DVD players. The kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, double door refrigerator/freezer, toaster, kettle, utensils, etc. The dining area seats 4 people, as does the balcony. Satellite TV with US and UK programming.
The main bedroom has a double bed and is amply-sized. The smaller second bedroom has single bunk beds and is good for one adult or two kids but is tight for 2 adults. Both bedrooms have a built-in wardrobe and a dressing table. The full bath has a combination bath/shower. Quality linens and towels are supplied. The Ark is decorated in an African theme, with original oil paintings and African folk art throughout.
You are located on Hall Road, a quiet, residential street running between Beach Road and Main Road, and just up from the famous Winchester Mansions Hotel. Beach Road runs along the waterfront and with its broad pedestrian promenade is great for walking, jogging and people watching. Main Road provides all the necessities of life, such as shops, restaurants, coffee bars, post office, Internet cafes, etc. Public transport to the Waterfront or to city center is available from Main Road and Beach Road. One can manage quite well without a car.

Why the Owner Chose Cape Town
My husband, Chris, and I live inland, in the scenic Breede River Valley. When my husband semi retired I bought this "pied á terre" in order to have a place to stay in the city without the necessity of a hotel. The location is wonderful. It's close to everything - the city, Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, the beaches, golf, the Cape Peninsula, the wine routes, you name it.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
Great location and budget friendly. The pedestrian promenade on Beach Road is a great asset. You can walk for miles or kilometers in either directions, toward the Waterfront or the Beaches.

This is a condo conversion that I purchased and furnished in late 2004. Since then, I have had 3 overseas rentals (2 Canadian, 1 USA/British). All are still on their travels and have yet to post comments but if you want references, let me know, and I shall forward their email addresses to you for enquiries. Having stayed in the condo many times myself, I can tell you that it is totally comfortable, and conveniently located to see the whole of Cape Town from a base of a nice leafy suburb, almost on the seafront.
